I obviously can't say if what this guy is saying is true since I wasn't there but it is an interesting story.
Hopefully it's true - for his sake!

Ian was night diving off the island of Mauritius when he was stung multiple times by Box Jellyfish, which are among the most venomous creatures in the world. His testimony relates how he clung to life while getting to hospital, was declared clinically dead soon afterwards, and how during this time he had an encounter with Jesus, which radically changed the direction of his life.

Interesting it is. I have read about other near death experinces on the net and all I have to say is... If the person is speaking of nothing but good and really believes in Jesus, why would they lie about their experience? But it's hard to say what some people would do for attention. We would just have to believe they are telling the truth. Thanks for posting the video. wink.gif

Better to be cautious then to mislead people. After all, we read the following and of course it's been proven true, time after time.

2 Peter 2:3 NIV
In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

I assure you, I listen to one man who made up a long story about seeing Jesus and when I compared his story to the bible I found that it was just that, a story. So I've lived and learned and of course I'm more cautious now. Not wanting to mislead God's people into error! Hey, it's not like you don't already have enough on your plates.

When their brains are traumatized people tend to hash things that they were taught and make up images of things they have believed or even conjure up all sorts of things and believe it as though it really happened. When you take all of the stories of this sort and put them together you can see the backgrounds and teachings that these people received or even the demented sides of some. Of course some of them are outright liars and just because one names Christ does not exempt them from this group either.
Anything that is experienced imediately after or during a major accident can not be believed. Man is flesh as the scriptures also say. We know that mans thoughts come from a brain of flesh that God created that way. When the chemical inzymes stop opperating man is dead. When you are dead you don't see anything or experience anything until the Lord brings you back to life. This is the reason for the ressurection from the dead at Christ's return. It is a good idea to keep your eyes on the Living God and learn from Him.
