The biggest threat is from the Islamic republic of Iran, no doubt they are the head of the snake and fueling the global jihad. Mahmoud Ahmadimijad and his Imam cronies have a belief much like ours in that they too are looking for the imminent return of thier version of "the Messiah". They also believe that they can make this happen sooner through the spread of violence and chaos.

As Christians, the bible also does tell us to hasten the return of the Lord.

What does this mean, "Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God" (2Peter 3:12)? It means literally, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, referring specifically to that future time when the "heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat" (3:12). Hastening means to act swiftly, to hurry, to speed up, or to accelerate. In other words, Christians are to look for and personally hasten the arrival of the day when God will dissolve the heavens with fire and melt the elemental materials of the universe with fervent heat. "Nevertheless we, according to His Promise, look for New Heavens and a New Earth, wherein dwelleth Righteousness" (3:13). But, before there can be a "New Heaven and a New Earth" (Revelation 21:1), there must be a Millennial Kingdom of Jesus Christ on Earth, where all the Raptured and Resurrected Saints "shall reign with [Christ] a thousand years" (20:6). All of this means that Christians, within certain limits, are able to do something that hastens or speeds up the arrival of future events. "Thy Kingdom come" (Matthew 6:10).

Obviously, we Christians wouldn't even think about going about this in the same way the Islamo nutjobs are, quite the opposite. We go about it by spreading the good news of hope in him and his kingdom through his word for only after that word is spread throughout every possible nook and crany of the world and every soul given the opportunity to make a decision to accept Christ, will he return.

NOW the dillemma ......which way to vote.

Like many across the country, faith in both parties is by and large gone. Those motivated enough to actually get off the couch and go vote, once again will be voting for what they feel is the lesser of two evils. Personally, the democrats have consistently shown me time and again that they are more a friend and helpful allie of the enemy while the republicans (outside of President Bush) have been hamstrung and thier spines turned to jello for fear of being politically correct.

Summary, the democrats have no spine and should the republicans find a cure to stiffen thier spines would be much more up to the task at hand of doing better at keeping America safe.

HOWEVER, I like many on this board believe that what the biblical prophets foretold what was going to happen in the last days WILL HAPPEN sooner or later. We're all praying for sooner rather than later. Remember, we are to hasten the Lord's return. Are votes to keep republicans in power with hopes they find thier spines just prolonging the inevitable? Would not a switch in the houses towards the democrats legally do in a different yet same way as the mad mullahs in Iran are trying to do to, and hasten the Mahdi's return through the spread of chaos? I have no doubt that there would be chaos if the democrats win and it becomes open season for the terrorists.

Botttom line, does a republican vote delay the inevitable while a democratic vote helps hasten the lords return?

How Will You Vote This Week?

I'm a registered UNA... that stands for unaffiliated... I used to be a NA (not affiliated but too many people took offense at being Not Applicable that they changed it).

Conservatively - that's how I'm voting. Party affiliation doesn't matter to me. Mostly we have judges on our ballot.

Of course I have always voted against my congressman... but that doesn't seem to make a difference, he keeps getting re-elected even though I disagree with his stance on so many issues.

I voted this morning. Shocking, I walked right up to to table! I went about 10:30 and the polling place was quite empty. There were about 15 other voters there. I also choose the paper ballot. Don't quite trust the machines.

I voted here in N. W. Arkansas last week and I had to wait in line 45 minutes. Heard today there is a big turn out in Arkansas. I believe it!

Yesterday was hard....almost 16 hours...But l saw a lot of people from my neighborhood area that l hadn't seen or talked to for a long time. That part was a blessing. Hey...And l didn't hide my Christianity!

Everyone was focused on OHIO both in the presidential election and this year's mid-term election...OHIO voted Democratic! This will blow the socks off Republicans! OHIO has been the pivotal state, the pulse of the nation when it comes to politics...Here's the results...
