Chinese drought affects millions

This is the worst drought in 50 years, Xinhua says
At least 18 million people have been affected by China's worst drought in 50 years, according to the state news agency Xinhua.
The south-western region of Chongqing has been worst hit, but areas of Sichuan and Liaoning are also affected.

In Chongqing there has been no rain for more than 70 days, and two-thirds of the rivers have dried up, Xinhua said.

Residents in some mountain villages are having to walk up to 2km (1.25 miles) to get water.

At least one person is said to have died from heatstroke, and Xinhua estimates the drought has caused economic losses of 11.74bn yuan ($1.24bn).

Weather extremes

The Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs said on Thursday that in 2006, China had faced its most severe natural disasters for six years.

By 15 August this year, natural disasters had killed 2,006 people, affected more than 316m others and caused economic losses of 160bn yuan ($20bn), the ministry estimated, according to Xinhua.

Earlier this year, some parts of China were hit by heavy snowfall, while in recent months there have been several deadly typhoons, each killing hundreds of people.

This drought is again affecting millions of people. According to Xinhua, 10m people in Sichuan, nearly 8m in Chongqing and 600,000 in Liaoning do not have enough access to drinking water at the moment.

The problem has also affected huge areas of farmland, with crop failures and the death of cattle.

The Sichuan meteorological bureau has forecast that the drought will continue, at least for the next few days.

Water scarcity affects one in three
By Fiona Harvey in London

Published: August 21 2006 18:13 | Last updated: August 21 2006 18:13

A third of the world’s population is suffering from a shortage of water, raising the prospect of “water crises” in countries such as China, India and the US.

Ezekiel 5:12 A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

Revelation 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. 8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. Revelation 8:10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. 12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. 13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

Revelation 9:15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

Revelation 9:18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

There is a penalty to pay for ignoring God.
Ungodly nations will pay a price.
It has always been God's way to bless his people.
Nations need to turn to God in order to receive blessings.
That's the way God created it and that's the way it still is, we can't change that.
Change can only come through repentance.
If a third of the world is suffering, the solution is that they need to turn to God and repent, only that will bring blessings. The answer for all of this is in Jesus Christ.

There's no water crisis.
All the water God created when He created the earth is still here.
The water I see today is the same water Adam looked at.

It evaparated, came down as rain, went through the rivers and oceans, went up into the sky and returned again to earth. It's impossible to disappear.

God made it perfect and it still is.

Global warming is exactly what it is: Global warming: a simple cycle created by God and a "name" invented by leftwing ungodly environmentalist with a political agenda.

Global warming comes and goes, ice ages come and go......nothing new, all old news.

All through history people have moved from one place to another place, avoiding temporary dry places and coming back when the cycle completed it's circle. People moved because of ice and came back when it was gone.

The creator designed all this, and how dumb of people to think they can actually mess up things or change things that are designed by an allmighty perfect God who knows best. Things made by God cannot be destroyed by people. God made things perfect and it does not need fixing.

All the automobiles in the world could never mess up the system, if that was the case the eruptions of the world's vulcanoes would have done so a long time ago.

Focus on repenting resulting into salvation. Focus on people coming to Christ. The "environment" can't save anyone or give anyone eternal life. Christians have no bussiness getting caught up in this environmental hoopla.

When there is revival there are no environmental issues at hand.
