HAVANA (AP) A communist newspaper says Fidel Castro has been walking, talking and working in the most optimistic report on the Cuban leader's recovery after surgery.

Government newspapers can publish anything they want, as long as it's coming out of the dictators headoffice. It's like the Watchtower, they publish anything they want as well, as long as it's coming out of the cults' headoffice.

Old Fidel could be as dead as a doornail and Raoul could keep it a secret as long as he has control of the military.

Official paper publishes statement, first photo since illness

HAVANA, Cuba (AP) -- The first photographs of Fidel Castro since his illness two weeks ago were published Sunday in Cuba's Communist Youth newspaper with a statement by the Cuban leader saying on his 80th birthday: "I feel very happy."

"For all those who care about my health, I promise to fight for it," said the statement attributed to Castro in Juventud Rebelde newspaper.

"To the people of Cuba, infinite gratitude for your loving support. The country is marching on and will continue marching on perfectly well."

The online edition of the newspaper also published four photographs of Castro wearing what looked like a white and red running suit.

In two of them he is talking on the telephone and in another is showing a copy of the Saturday edition of Granma, the Communist Party newspaper.

Did anyone else notice that the pictures of fidel on the news, the ones were he is up and about, are all photoshop edited? I am a graphic artist (I own a sign company) and I do this for a living. I would bet my bippy (as my dad would say) that these images are photoshoped!!! It is obvious to me, they look blatently fake. Either the man is dead, or still very ill.

I'm in the printing bussiness and like to look at it.
The other day we put duallies on a 1955 Caddy Coupe de Ville.
We showed it to a guy and he was sure it was for real.

I am glad Castro is alive and well. It hurts me to see these people in Miami celebrating his "possible death".
He has done many wrong things, yet I do wish him the best and my prayer is that he turns to God for his salvation.

Alone the fact that he has survived all these years is for me a sign that God has reserved him for salvation. We must remember that there is not a sinner "bad enough" for Jesus!

So my prayer is that God reveals himself to Fidel, and that He blesses him spiritually, physically and fiancially. God's word says that if any one believes with his heart, and confesses with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and that he died for our sins will be saved.

I pray the same for Hezballah, but for some reason I have my doubts........
