Shalom Sends Warning To Government In Damascus
Likud MK Silvan Shalom responded to events in the north by Saying Wednesday that, "We can't have a situation in Lebanon where there is peace and quiet on one side and our soldiers are living in bunkers on the other. We have to disarm Hizbullah. All the weapons that are being used come through Damascus. Damascus must know that we cannot tolerate this."We must act immediately, said Shalom.

PM Olmert declares Hizbullah attack 'act of war' by Lebanon


A few days ago it was reported that somebody, I don't remember, declared war on Israel.

The Bush administration will call it, "a little bit of tension"... no one wants to call any conflict a war anymore because the war protesters and objectors come out when you say that word...

if it looks like a duck, quack like a duck, smells like a duck it is a duck.

...same goes for a war.

would this be enough for Israel to make damascus a ruinous heap? that is what I am watching mostly...

Quite true, my little jumpy "Tiger", Isreal was supposed to have been declared war upon....but now, Hamas is saying they want todecare a peace with Isreal. Isreal has ignored it, of course, because it is like having a political party say, "OK, we disband." Because destruction of Isreal IS Hamas and everyone knows it. They are not shy about saying it! We just watched a show about Hamas....perhaps you did too and heard them say it doesn't matter whether it is civilian of military, mother, child or man, a Jew is Jew and all Jews must die.

After that news brief, however, I lost track. We are girding ourselves up for a time of sorrows, I fear.

PS by the way....Iran had been saying that they were not aiding and abetting Hamas (like "prove it"). and in the news clip of the story of Hamas they had some big to do and the leader of the party called from Damascus.

Anytime the muslims call for peace it is merely thier standing operating procedure. It's called a "Hudna". When they can get the bombs and bullets to stop flying it gives them the opportunity to regroup, reorganize, and resupply, and then of course they start all over again. Israel has finally gotten wise to this tactic.
