GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - A Palestinian militant group said early Thursday it executed an 18-year-old Israeli settler kidnapped earlier in the West Bank .

The statement from the Popular Resistance Committees in Gaza said the settler, Eliahu Asheri, had been executed. The group, which has links to the ruling Hamas, had threatened to execute the Israeli if Israel did not halt its invasion of Gaza.

Absolutely horrible. Not suprising, but none-the-less, and innocent life stolen by barbarians.

Go ahead guys, keep pokin' God in the eye...see what happens.

This is terrible. There is a big headline on Drudge at the moment, asking the question about this specific incident perhaps triggering mideast war.

We are all looking for some huge incident (not saying this is not), but huge in the sense of a massive bombing or political killing to trigger a war or end times events, but this could do it. Israel has war planes in Syria as well. Strange...and VERY close.

Good point Shaun...a small pebble removed from the wrong place at the right time can cause a massive landslide. To me, if you stop and think about it, this brings more emotion in me. "They've taken one of our own...they've crossed the line". makes sense to me.

Oh boy. The made it even worst. I think peace process is a failure. If the young soldier is killed by the miltants. Then Israel will go for extreme action.

Peace will only come when the LORD returns. We are to watch, wait and to pray.

Remember that the LORD has promised Israel HIS protection. Those that come against her will suffer HIS wrath.

LORD have mercy on the enemies of Israel. LORD bless and protect Isreal. These are my prayers...

Well, Gaza gunmen blew a hole in the wall to Egypt. If other countries get into this, to 'beat back Israel', I can see this turning multinational.
