ISRAELI FORCES MASS NEAR GAZA 6/27

Israeli forces mass near Gaza By Rami Amichai
Tue Jun 27, 5:28 AM ET
NIZMIT HILL, Israel (Reuters) - Israeli tanks and troops massed near Gaza on Tuesday for a threatened offensive against Palestinian militants as the government said it would target top Hamas leaders if an abducted soldier was not freed.
In northern Gaza, Palestinians blocked roads with dirt and barbed wire. Militants wielding automatic rifles and anti-tank rockets patrolled the streets as tensions hit their highest along the frontier since Israel quit Gaza nearly a year ago.
The United States urged Israel to give diplomacy a chance to win the release of Corporal Gilad Shalit, who was seized on Sunday by militants who also killed two soldiers in a raid on a military border post.
Israel said leaders of the ruling Hamas movement could become assassination targets, including the group's supreme leader Khaled Meshaal who lives in exile in Damascus.
Hamas's armed wing has said it carried out Sunday's attack with other factions but has not said it was holding Shalit.
"They have to understand one thing, that nobody is immune, including Khaled Meshaal. Nobody is immune," cabinet minister and former general Benjamin Ben-Eliezer said on Army Radio.
Abu Ubaida, a spokesman for Hamas's armed wing, warned Israel of a "painful" response if its forces re-invaded.
"The enemy will regret the moment they raid Gaza. The price will be so heavy," said the spokesman, dressed in military fatigues and clutching an AK-47 assault rifle.
At Nizmit Hill, just across from northern Gaza, around 100 Israeli tanks and armored personnel carriers faced the coastal strip after more tanks arrived overnight.
Officials have not said when troops might go in.
Israeli media said the government had also approved a contingency plan to cut food, water and gas supplies to the Gaza Strip if the 19-year-old conscript was not freed.
Hamas's armed wing, along with the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) and the Islamic Army on Monday said Israel would not get information about the soldier unless it freed all jailed Palestinian women and youths. Israel rejected the demand.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has held Hamas, which took office in March, and the Palestinian Authority chaired by moderate President Mahmoud Abbas responsible for Sunday's assault.
"The time is approaching for a comprehensive, sharp and severe Israeli operation. We will not wait forever," he said.
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice urged restraint.
"There really needs to be an effort now to try and calm the situation," Rice told reporters en route to Pakistan.
MILITANTS' STATEMENT
"Military Statement 1," issued by the three militant groups, did not confirm directly they were holding Shalit, a tank gunner, nor give details of his condition.
Israeli and Palestinian officials said about 100 Palestinian women and 300 youths were in Israeli jails for alleged security offences.
In a separate statement, the PRC said on Monday it had kidnapped a Jewish settler in the occupied West Bank. It produced no evidence to substantiate the claim.
The Israeli army said it was unaware of the abduction.
Militant groups said Sunday's raid was in response to the killing of 14 Palestinian civilians in Israeli air strikes in Gaza against militants behind cross-border rocket attacks.
Israel Television's military affairs correspondent, who is briefed regularly by the army, said it would take another day or two until enough forces were in place for a ground operation.
Other defense commentators in Israel said Olmert could not rush into Gaza for fear militants would kill the soldier, but waiting too long would make his government appear weak.
Israel completed a withdrawal of Jewish settlers and soldiers last September after 38 years of occupation.

I'm not going to say I'm glad the Palestinians are getting thier bums handed to them in the next couple of days, in fact, I hope they return the prisoner they took and everything quiets down, for the sake of peace, but if Israel and Palestine get into it now, with all of the exponentially higher tnesion in the surrounding area in the last two years, we'll be seeing a firey horseman in years, maybe even months or weeks. As bad as I want this to go well, I'd still cheer for Israel if the gauntlet is tossed. Hey, I'm enlisting in two weeks, and any chance I have to fight for Jerusalem is a chance I'd never even consider refusing. Wheeeeeee.

Ground troops enter Gaza, Strip shelled with artillery
By GIL HOFFMAN AND JPOST.COM STAFF
Talkbacks for this article: 191
The IDF continued its offensive against the Palestinians late Tuesday night when ground forces began entering the southeastern part of the Gaza Strip and the region was being bombarded with artillery shelling.
Shortly before, the Air Force struck an electrical transformer station south of Gaza city, cutting the power supply from portions of the region.
The incursion began shortly before midnight, when IAF aircraft blew up three main bridges, located along the main route connecting between the northern and southern parts of the Strip. The army said that the operation was intended to keep Hamas from taking kidnapped soldier Cpl. Gilad Shalit out of the Gaza Strip

Israel warns of 'extreme' action
Tanks enter Gaza
Israel's prime minister has warned of "extreme action" to free a soldier captured by Palestinian militants.
Witnesses reported an air strike on a militant training camp in Gaza, after planes bombed a power station and three bridges overnight.
Tanks also moved into the southern Gaza Strip, in the first big incursion since the Israeli withdrawal last year.
There are no reports of clashes but the incursion brought condemnation from the main Palestinian factions.
The White House said Israel had "the right to defend itself".
"In any actions the government of Israel may undertake, the United States urges that it ensures that innocent civilians are not harmed," spokesman Tony Snow said.

EU: Israel and Palestinians must step back from brink before crisis
By News Agencies
The European Union urged both Israel and the Palestinians on Wedndesday, to "step back from the brink" and allow diplomacy to resolve the crisis caused by the abduction of an Israel Defense Forces soldier by militants in the Gaza Strip.
"All sides need to consider their responsibilities extremely carefully," EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner said in a statement on Wednesday, after IDF troops moved into the Gaza Strip, shelling targets and bombing power stations and a bridge.
"Both sides need to step back from the brink before this becomes a crisis that neither side can control," Ferrero-Waldner warned.

Greetings all:
I just have to put in my two cents on this subject. Very soon in about 1 1/2 hours in my time (pacific coast time), it'll be sundown, the beginning of the third day of hebrew month of Tammuz. Why am I bringing this up? Because of this,
Joshua 10:1-15
1 Now Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem heard that Joshua had taken Ai and totally destroyed [a] it, doing to Ai and its king as he had done to Jericho and its king, and that the people of Gibeon had made a treaty of peace with Israel and had become their allies. 2 He and his people were very much alarmed at this, because Gibeon was an important city, like one of the royal cities; it was larger than Ai, and all its men were good fighters. 3 So Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem appealed to Hoham king of Hebron, Piram king of Jarmuth, Japhia king of Lachish and Debir king of Eglon. 4 "Come up and help me attack Gibeon," he said, "because it has made peace with Joshua and the Israelites."
5 Then the five kings of the Amorites—the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish and Eglon—joined forces. They moved up with all their troops and took up positions against Gibeon and attacked it.
6 The Gibeonites then sent word to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal: "Do not abandon your servants. Come up to us quickly and save us! Help us, because all the Amorite kings from the hill country have joined forces against us."
7 So Joshua marched up from Gilgal with his entire army, including all the best fighting men. 8 The LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you."
9 After an all-night march from Gilgal, Joshua took them by surprise. 10 The LORD threw them into confusion before Israel, so Joshua and the Israelites defeated them completely at Gibeon. Israel pursued them along the road going up to Beth Horon and cut them down all the way to Azekah and Makkedah. 11 As they fled before Israel on the road down from Beth Horon to Azekah, the LORD hurled large hailstones down on them, and more of them died from the hail than were killed by the swords of the Israelites.
12 On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel:
"Sun, stand still over Gibeon,
and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon."
13 So the sun stood still,
and the moon stopped,
till the nation avenged itself on [b] its enemies,
as it is written in the Book of Jashar.
The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. 14 There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the LORD listened to a human being. Surely the LORD was fighting for Israel!
15 Then Joshua returned with all Israel to the camp at Gilgal. Some of the Jewish scholars believes that this miracle had happened on the third day of Tammuz, here's one link that I've found to support that..
http://www.askmoses.com/article.html?h=172&o=200597Now note that I've specifically highlighted verse 11. I kind of expect some miracle from God to happened between sundown tonight to sundown tomorrow night, Israel's time. But you know what? Miracles happens everyday anyways. Praise God!

Greetings Everwatchful:
I appreciate your feedback on this. Let me say this, I do wholeheartedly understands what you're saying for I, too, was sure of many things as well, only to be disappointed. An classic example is the book, "1994". And let me say this as well, I've never said that I was a "prophet" nor do I even think of myself in that way at all. It would be folly as you said of false prophecy, of me to say on the forum that, "God told me this, so you all had better listen" when I don't even think that God has even called me to that particular station in His Kingdom. It's not exactly an popular station as what some may think, for do you know of any true prophet have been truly welcome in their own hometown in Israel? In my book, all prophets are called and all true prophets had suffered horribly in their calling. Even Moses, for he had led the children of Israel into promised land but he wasn't allowed to enter it himself. No question there. I was trying to share what God in the Spirit was trying to say to me, in His word, in His people, everywhere for God is everywhere. But it's only my intrepretation of what I think God is trying to say to me, therefore quite fallible, for I am human and to be human is to err, yes? So forgive me if I had come across as "prophetic" unto you. That's certainly not my intention at all and I'll try to be more mindful of that.
Sincerely yours,
Wendy

Ya because then you can gossip off line...Please don't deteriorate the string with your mumuring...Some people have so many confirmations it puts them on their face before the Lord in tears and you don't even know about it.
Isn't there also a warning about speaking and murmuring against someone God has sent to speak.
If your dull mind can't hear it doesn't mean he wasn't sent. I know because when l doubted, God was waiting at he woodshed for me. I quickly reeled my tongue in and he had mercy...
If you doubt something someone has said you are suppose to go the person. Then you are suppose to bring and elder...etc. etc. You know the drill.
Hey! But first get the board out of your own eye.

Military officials said the warplanes flew over President Assad's palace near the coastal port city of Latkia. Television reports said the Syrian President had been at home during the pre-dawn flights.
Mr Assad was apparently targeted because Israel believes there are close links between Syria and Hamas. Khaled Mashaal, the exiled Hamas political bureau chief widely believed by many Palestinians as well as Israel as having sanctioned the raid in which Cpl Shalit was abducted last Sunday, is based in Damascus.
Military officials said the aircraft flying low had made a "noise" on the ground but did not say whether they created sonic booms of the sort generated in Gaza yesterday.
State-run Syrian television said two Israeli arciraft had flown over the country's Mediterranean coast in an "aggressive act and a provocation". Quoting an unnamed Information Ministry official, it claimed "national air defences opened fire in the direction of the planes, and they dispersed."

IAF strikes official Gaza buildings
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
In the first two hours of Friday, IAF warplanes struck more than a dozen times throughout the Gaza Strip. The first strike hit the Palestinian Authority Interior Ministry in downtown Gaza City early Friday, setting it on fire.
The IDF said the ministry office, controlled by Hamas, was "a meeting place to plan and direct terror activity." No one was hurt in the attack.
IAF planes and helicopters also hit a Fatah office and a Hamas facility in Gaza City as well as roads and open fields.

Israel Threatens to Hit Damascus

Israel holds Khaled Mashal, the leader of Hamas' Syrian branch, responsible for the abduction of two Israeli soldiers and wants Syria to expel Palestinian leaders from the country.
Israel threatened to kill Hamas militants based in Damascus.
Al-Jazeera television said Public Security Minister Avi Dichter claimed they knew the locations of HAMAS and Islamic Jihad leaders in Syria and will not hesitate to kill them.
Justice Minister Chaim Ramon said, “The leader of Al Qaeda, Meshal is a terrorist of the worst kind, and the international community must exert pressure on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to expel Meshal from Syria.”
Ramon claimed Meshaal gave the order for abduction and is now a target for assassination.
Syrian security forces said they tightened the security measures to protect the HAMAS leader.
Israeli army said yesterday they carried out a low-altitude flight over the palace of Syrian President Bashar Assad in Latakia, in northwestern Syria.
Syrian sources reported that they fired at two Israeli planes flying over Syrian air space.

Can anybody here say whose side God is on? In the words of Conservative Jewish talk show host Micheal Medved: "The Isrreal of today is not a Jewish State, it is a socialist state, founded by socialists, run by socialists! The sad truth is that if Moses were in charge of Isreal today, he would end up executing half it's population!"
While the Jews are still God's chosen people, they are currently in a state of rebellion. The Lord did not spare the nation Isreal whenever they were in the stste of rebellion they are currently in. If we are to believe prophecy, 2/3 of all the Jews will be killed in the end times. The Lord sent Assyria to punish the Northern Kingdom, Babylon to Punish the Southern Kingdom, and the Romans to drive them out of their land when they rejected him. The curent state of Isreal is a far cry from the shinning city on the hill The Lord meant it to be. Their dicorce rate, abortion rate, teen preganancy rate, and all of the other worlds vices are no different in Isreal than they are anywhere else in the world. Is is written that Christ will not come to the aid of Isreal until the scale fall from their eyes and they realize that the one they pierced was the Messiah.
Until then, Isreal will have trouble and all of the wonder weapons they bought from American will not save them.
I wouldn't be too hard on the Arabs for is it not written that The Lord takes no pleasure in the demise of the wicked?

I believe it is not up to us to decide if Israel is in a state of rebellion. They are God chosen and that is that and that simple. God will take care of Israel when they are right and he will correct them if they are wrong. It is not up to us to judge them.

Speculation:
After we were almost done turning Iraq inside out looking for the weapons they snuck to Syria, l thought for sure they would be next. I kept waiting for the surprise attack that never came.
Then the talk turned to Iran...I was so sure Syria would be the newest focus point in flushing out the enemies of the world. If the weapons are there like many of us thought...
Are they unstable? Are the stored properly? Do they have a shelf life?

kim48,
You are correct about Israel.
Jer 30:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
Jer 30:2 Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
Jer 30:3 For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
Jer 30:4 And these [are] the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
Jer 30:5 For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
Jer 30:6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day [is] great, so that none [is] like it: it [is] even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
Jer 30:8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, [that] I will break his (Satan's) yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
>Satan's christ (antichrist) will invade conquer and rule over Israel for 1,260 days at the time of the end.
Jer 30:9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
>Jesus (from the ethnic line of David) will rule from Jerusalem upon His return for 1,000 years.
Jer 30:10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make [him] afraid.
Jer 30:11 For I [am] with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

The fact that they are just as decadent as the rest of us places them in the same rebelious state we are all in. While it is not for us to judge as you say, it is not for us to cheer Isreal on and cheer the death of Arabs. God is in control and none of us know his plan.

MUST SEE: WATCHING THE WEEK IN LIGHT OF BIBLE PROPHECY by Billye Brim 7/1
« on: Today at 12:23:14pm »

This link is to Billye Brim's , WATCHING THE WEEK IN LIGHT OF BIBLE PROPHECY....for the week ending 6/30. It is a must watch for those seeking to better understand the happenings in the Middle East.
The link is:
http://billyebrim.com/bbm/index.php?option...id=56&Itemid=88Hi.......anyway, she gave a concise and accurate update of last week's happenings in view of Bible prophecy. She pretty much reported what we have posted here and been watching....main thing is DAMASCUS, SYRIA! Look at headlines today....we US and Israel are after Syria to give up the terror head in Damascus....I think the soldier is dead,a nd I think Israel knows it...and I think we are giving them the ok to go after Syria if they don't play by our rules...cough up the terrorists!....back to Billye...as per Bible prophecy...Damascus will bear the brunt of the Lord's wrath against Syria...it will begin there and spread across the district! She is watching just like we are to see if indeed this is the beginning of that which is spoken of!

This may be a 4th with real fireworks across the world!

If you are going to believe that we. along with isreal and our "Wonder weapons" are going to bring peace upon the Earth by killing all the terrorists, you are wrong.
Jesus himself warned against such a thing fro "When the leaders of the Earth shout "Peace and Safety!" Death shall follow"
With our current slouch towards Gomorra, we are in no postion to impose anything upon anybody.
"Terrorism" is a realitve word. When we wipe out entire cities killing civilains by the hundreds of thousands, we call it "Strategic Bombing" When we assasinate people or kidnap them, we call it "Special Operations".
Remenber, When Christ returns, there will be only two kinds of people on the Earth, those who surrender to him and those who continue to fight against him. There will be no "Christian nation" to ally alongside him.

End-Time Calling
Jul 1 2006, 09:19 PM
Wow I've been gone a while. Things are really heating up in Zion. Things are shifting to the next step in the shortly remaining Divine plan. The wars and rumors are getting closer together, looks like things are pickin up. But who knows. I do know Christ did say when you see these things, to prepare for the great time of trouble. The last seven years of Gentile rule is quickly approaching. But we need to come together as legions for one cause. Not our ideas! There is soon coming a time when you will look at your fellow brothers/sisters as your closest family. Because it is all you will have. Lets call to God a pouring out of the holy spirit to lead us in whats quickly engulfing the planet. I will pray for this forum to lead in sharing the gospels to all the world. Lets those whom visit to read what all the talk is about, should read words confirming the message from their bibles of love! Enjoy the jouney because it is for a truly worthy cause no matter the cost we may eventually pay. Share with all that will hear, they may no get that chance again. Love to you guys, keep doing what ya doin.

It was the straw that broke the camel's back. Hamas totally overstepped it's bounds. Those idiots that crossed into Israel and kidnapped Cpl Shalit stirred a hornet's nest with an audacious and cowardly attack.
Now Israel threw the gloves off and is taking the Palestinians to the mats.
How do you like my cliches?
