Scientists Fear Bird Flu Virus May Have Mutated
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just concluded a seminar in Chicago on business preparation for Pandemic Influenza. The response was pretty amazing. The seminar was focused at small and mid-sized businesses. Everyone appreared engaged and was legitimately concerned.

A key observation was offered that it seems the media is running about a week behind reality. As a case in point, at a time when the media is actively reporting the WHO saying that the Indonesian outbreak appears confined and under control, here is a news release dated today that expresses concern that all the denials that have been released about the control and that it "couldn't be H2H" were lies. Most noteworthy is the admission that CDC has people on he ground there in addition to the WHO personnel.

I will be posting some more material that I collected today.

Bird Flu

World Health Organization officials are increasingly concerned that a thus far unexplained outbreak of the bird flu virus could mean that a long-feared scenario has been borne out -- that the virus may have mutated so that it can be passed from one human to another.
The concern began with reports that seven members of one family in a remote Indonesian village had come down with the disease.

Doctors were immediately troubled by the fact that there had been no outbreaks of the disease among birds in the region. To date, all of the more than 200 people infected with the virus have gotten it from contact with a diseased bird.

Health authorities hoped that their investigation would disclose a common contact among the seven infected people. So far, that contact has not been found.

At this point, health officials say they cannot rule out that the seven infected family members passed the virus to each other.

Scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have joined their WHO colleagues on the scene to continue the probe.

Unless they can find a connection among all seven family members with one or more diseased birds, they say they may be forced to conclude that a mutation has occurred.

Some scientists have said that if the disease can be transmitted easily among humans, the resulting pandemic could be catastrophic, resulting in millions of fatalities worldwide.

At least 115 of the 208 people known to be infected with the bird flu have died in the last three years, mainly in Asia.

If it has mutated to human to human I don't think hand sanitizer will help much, but it's better than nothing I suppose. This is what the CDC and WHO organizations have feared would happen... it's not going to be good.

I'm not trying to scare anyone...just be prepared, that's all.

and of course we should pray for everyone too blush.gif

Blessings everyone!

I have heard that more people are killed by regular flu (30,000! in the US alone per year; according to the Weather Channel) than by this flu. My sister sent me a email saying that Ashcroft was linked with ROCHE, the French labs who do it, and with the guy who grows the star anise to make it.

So bird flu, I come against you, in Jesus' name. Pfff... If my time is to go now, let it be, bird flu or not! biggrin.gif

I hate it when they try to scare us! It has become sooo lame! mad.gif

In the times to come.....what will be the dangers that we would have to face? Bird-flu, atomic warfare, biological warfare, earthquakes, meteorites, maybe a flood or two, famine,......imagine having NO food left after a while, all your stored up food is now gone, outside..nothing.

Who will you turn to then?

Why do we not turn to Him now already , even in that which we speak, and when the time comes, we are already in God's supply.
How about we chuck the vaccine and start saying "Through His stripes we ARE healed"

I am talking to myself here as well. I am under conviction about how much I trust God. He is asking me..."IF you trust me , why am I your last resort always?" and I hang my head in shame. I have a headache I pop a pill. How am I going to survive the bird-flu if the normal flu gets me in bed? I have not practised my faith enough. I have not placed myself willingly in my Father's hands.
I talk the talk, but when it comes to where the rubber meets the tar, I fall.
God was wondering if when He comes back if He will still find faith on this planet.
I understand now, and I am guilty.
