The book of Enoch explains the interpretation of Genesis 6:1-2 with a first person view, the view of Enoch, plus it throws light on all of the figures used in the month and the year, plus it gives the names of the sons of God and the different knowledges that they gave to mankind. My question is, 'Was that why Enoch was taken?'

Enoch has always been linked in my mind to the two witnesses. He and Elijah.

The problem with the Book of Enoch is that Nobody knows what the Actual book of Enoch Contains. Apparently it was important enough that it is quoted in Jude 1:14-15 A lot of people see the current available text as corrupt, except the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.

Same problem with the Book of Jasher talked about in Joshua 10:13, and 2 Samuel 1:18, there are some that claim that the current versions are authentic, there is just no way of verifying it.

Question: Was Enoch with Elijah in the transfiguration or was that Moses as we have read?

They are the two witnesses of Jesus Christ on earth. They appeared in the cloud on earth and even the disciples wanted to fix a place for them to stay.

I would not place to book of Enoch as inspired nor would I recommend it to a new christian- but the Ethiopian version is the best and does explain Genesis 6. It is good for historical account and worth the read.

Enoch was taken because he walked with God- that is what Genesis says. Some say that Enoch is one of the two witnesses others say Moses. Well, Michael the Archangel contended for the body of Moses- so I lean that Moses is one of the two witnesses.

Hi,

We are to walk like Enoch and be no more...that God will rapture
us. Elijah likewise. These two did not face death...these are types...

Blessings,

Yes! Elijah represents the prophets but also those who have been translated while they were LIVING (like the Rapture; we will be transformed") and Moses represents the LAW, and those who have died and whose bodies will be raised during the Rapture (graves opened).

Yes, Enoch and Elijah are types and foreshadowing of the two that
didn't taste death and many believe represent the two witness and
symbolize the coming of the Lord...When we are no longer in self...
and totally submitted to God...as these 2 were...and the witnesses
will be...we know that the rapture is near...that's what I am talking
about...greater is He in me that he in the world...greater is God in
me even than me in the world...
