What truly struck me from reading this was that chaos could happen at the drop of a hat in this world. We attack Iran, Iran goes after Israel, Israel nukes Iran and or Syria, Russia comes into it with Iran and goes after Israel (Ezekiel perhaps). Iran also sends suicide bombers over here to the US.....oy.

This will all happen sooner than anybody thinks, but God is in control as cliche as that may sound, IT IS TRUE.



TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran will target Israel first if the United States does anything "evil", a senior commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards said on Tuesday.

The United States says it wants Iran's nuclear standoff with the West solved diplomatically but has refused to rule out military action.

"We have announced that wherever America does something evil, the first place that we target will be Israel," Revolutionary Guards Rear Admiral Mohammad-Ebrahim Dehqani was quoted as saying by Iran's student news agency ISNA.

The Islamic Republic has never recognized Israel and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called for the Jewish state to be "wiped off the map."

Dehqani said naval wargames held in the Gulf last month "carried the warning to those countries that threaten Iran, including America and the Zionist regime".

Experts said the wargames, in which Iran said it had tested new missiles and torpedoes, were a thinly veiled threat that it could disrupt vital Gulf oil shipping lanes if it was attacked.

I have been on edge since Feb about Iran and waiting to hear the dreaded news that Israel has been nuked.

It is ABSOLUTELY true--both that God is in control and that all this could happen at the drop of a hat. Things happen so quickly now that so many things are set up.

I guess the thing that's even worse is that GWB regards himself as "the West". I'm not disrespecting the position of Pres. just the man btw. So the 'stand-off' isn't necessarily between Iran and the west, it's Iran and the US. Where other 'western' countries get involved - at least in the past - is that they support the P of the USA, or are attacked because the offender wants to draw the US into the battle. In the past, it was a harder thing to do. Not anymore. It seems that GWB will attack any country that even thinks about attacking the 'west'.

I feel for the folks who didn't vote for him, and I feel for those who did and now realise tht it was a baaaad thing to do. From what I see on other boards - half the US wants the man impeached, some are calling him the Anti-Christ (where's the peace?) and I've seen some apologising for voting for him.

THe honest truth? God help us all.

Pardon me but the Islamic world regards everything else outside of the near and far east as the "West". They use this term to describe a way of life and lifestyle contradictory to Islam.

The world and GWB in particular got a rude wake up call the morning of 9/11 about the nature of Islam. Although on the record he limits it to a minute few radicals who have hijacked the religion, I'm sure that off the record that he and his advisors know that the problem runs much deeper.

GWB isn't perfect by any means, but he's one heck of alot better than what we had with Clinton or could have gotten with Kerry.

My friend, it looks like you've joined the crown that's fallen back to pre 9/11 sleep. Thank God GWB hasn't but I'm still mystified why that southern border hasn't been sealed yet.

Well stated diver!! I voted for Bush. And I don't regret it a whit...simply because I don't believe in wallowing in regret...ever choice comes with consequences, and we grow from the choices. However, if you ask me if I think his choices are lacking this term, then I would agree to that. Then again...every choice ushers in His kingdom...and how can we NOT want that?

Chaos, indeed, but somehow I'm wondering if it won't be diverted at this time, and miraculously the world agrees on how to keep the peace--the great agreement, if you know what I mean.

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the continental U.S. were nuked in rapid succession (two or three times) between now and the end of May with nukes smuggled in to our country after having been bought by terrorists (or Iran) after the Soviet Union breakup. Given the three audio/video releases last week from the three big leaders in Al-Qaeda, it seems just a little too coincidental. From one article I've read, if Zacarias Moussaoui is sentenced to death, we'd better look out.

This, combined with the Iran ties, could have nuclear consequences for them, if we're nuked. But from the above, I'm thinking the world will put up a big STOP sign and go "What are we all doing?"

This may lead to truces, agreements, and peace? Unfortunately, it may be a peace that includes everyone but true Christians, leading to persecution the likes of which this generation has never seen.

Hey, if the comet collides on the 25th, that's just more fuel for the "peace at any cost" fire.

But, as you said, God is indeed in control. He will provide, protect, and see us through the wilderness.

May he deal with the world and the church in mercy before judgment.

Personally, I think that we may be nuked or have something happen to distract us or weigh us down so heavily, that Iran and Russia and Syria and whomever else would feel "free and clear" to attack Israel, since we always say that we would defend them against any attack. If Israel were attacked right now, I would hope that we would go after the people that did it, but if we were distracted somehow from a disaster from one of these suicide bomber nutcases or God forbid a nuke of some kind, we would not be able to help.
