One of my friends told me she read the Da Vinci Code and
said she loved it. So suspensful. I asked her if it is correct
that the book says that Jesus married Mary Magdalene.

Guess she knows how I feel, but boy did I have a chance to witness
to her. She really listened. I pray that the seed that was sown will
flourish. Her husband and children are very skeptical about this

Oh Lord I pray they will open their eyes. I have tried to get
her to read the bible and the last time I talked to her she was willing
to read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. I pray she asks for the Holy
Spirit to move in and make a permanent home in her heart!

What happen to Dan Brown? Did I miss something?????

I heard that Tom Hanks is in the movie "The Da Vinci Code"....is that true?

Gosh, this is going to tip those who are new Christians....I remember when the book "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" came out.....so many new and old Christians were lost for along time from reading that book. It is so sad. Movies and Book have such a "hold" on people that they forget the basics......and run wild with these theories.

Dan Brown is such a liar. He only sold the book to earn lot of money. Yes there is going to be a movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0382625/ . I have no plans for watching that movie nor reading his crap.

Dan Brown is being sued for plegerism by another writer who says Brown stole his idea for "Da Vinci Code" from his book, "Holy Blood, Holy Grail". It doesn't look good for Brown. The court has in its possession Dan Browns copy of "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", and it is pretty beat-up (well handled) with lots of sticky notes and marginal scrawls.

"Da Vinci Code" was a work of fiction. Brown never claimed otherwise. He took a couple of fundamental facts and spun an action thriller. Problems arose when knuckleheads who don't read the Bible or study the faith in any way, and don't know the difference between fiction and non-fiction actually believed it may be true.

We have to face the idea that this book may have taken a false belief that skulks along the underbelly of universities and brought it to the public forum for a proper prosecution. While we hate the idea that anyone might associate Christ with any sort of fictional storyline, I think that it sent many, many people to the true story for closer examination.

Anyway, we know that God can turn anything around to suit His own purpose.

I met some woman that wanted me to join their book club. They had just read this book. I told them NO thanks....I love reading the word of God, the Holy Bible.
And yes the time is critical to stay in God's word.
Just think of all these people who read the book and how much confusion it may (Hopefully) caused them. People don't like confusion, and it will give them momentum to search out the Truth...hopefully, unless they like living their lives in illusional fictions and fairytales.

That's too bad about those burns....

Kids' a nut. Maybe, if he survives, he will realize what he did and come to Christ. Not holding my breath though. Stuff like this really makes me angry. What's the point? Are these people, like in Alabama just doing this for the delight of seeing fire, or a church in fire. I don't know, but the kid is now reaping what he sowed. The others in Alabama that burned down all those churches will also reap when they have to spend time a 3x3 cell with some guy named Bubba.

....By the way, Ducktape, I love the title of this thread.
