I'm snowed in right now up here in Michigan. I worked all afternoon yesterday trying to dig myself out, but I still would not attempt backing my impala out of the drive-way. We had 12 inches dumped on us within a few short hours yesterday. Ever seen or heard of a thunder-snow storm? It was really wierd. While I was out there shoveling it was lightening and thundering as the snow continued to fall. It made me feel like I was in a dream.
We have 22,000 people without power and temperatures are expected to drop below zero this week-end. More snow is coming down now. I have to get back outside to try to get myself out. I have everything I need for now, but I need to be able to get out in case of emergency.
yikes,

Right now in the NW the sky is clear. It's about 20 degrees and we have wind gusts to 60 mph. Still have power though. Can't wait to stoke up my wood burning stove. It's been a weird winter.

This morning in Texas it is 55 degrees expecting rain.. We have had very few cold days and all winter long we have sat in the 70's.....
I was talking with another member on the forum about seeing the strangest thing yesterday morning. I had dropped my son off at school, and was coming home. I turned down this one street that travels next to a large plat of land with a huge dance hall on it. The sky and parking lot of this hall was filled with the largest flock of white birds I had ever seen. The birds on the ground were hopping around looking as though they were confused and the ones flying seemed to not know where to go. This had to be a mass of over a 1000 birds. It was scary to look at. It reminded me of a movie of when the animals freak out right before something ill happens....

When I got up and out the door, the siding had been pulled back like a sardine can on all the bldngs in my apt complex, there were piles of siding where ever I looked....some people have no power due to the winds

Yes, it is heading your way now. I heard awhile ago that the part of Arkansas is under a warning. I think the worst part of the snow is over for us by looking back into OK. They said it should stop snowing by mid afternoon. The cold is still here and is suppose to be down around 0 tonight with the wind chill it will feel colder.

Yes, I heard the low tommorrow would be about 17 degrees here...that was last night on the news....I have't heard the news today. We are snuggling up and staying toasty warm....hope the power doesn't go out. Our house was converted to heat and air, and whoever did the work, disconnected the floor furnaces. No power, no heat! WOW, that is pretty cold for Tennesee and Arkansas. Keep warm and keep stock up on plenty of wood!!! Weird.
A couple days ago we had lightening and thunderstorms in the evening, tornado warnings and sirens going off........and freezing cold temps the next morning here in Indy.

Sounds like everyone's getting what we've had here in WY...by Friday morning, we had between 12-16 inches of snow in the low lying areas and over 2 ft of snow on the hills near the city...and have been having wind chills as low as -36 degrees...clear skies today though so hopefully by Tuesday, the snow will have melted away...you guys are all in my thoughts and prayers!

I have to admit something here! Ready?
Okay, I bought lotto tickets and I never do that at all...ever ever ever! But I broke down and felt my state needed a little extra funding you know!! Actually it was 365 million dollars the largest lotto in the nation. So..........what I want to publicly say is that I will share it amongst the members here in the BODY OF CHRIST..............
So, wish us luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hugs to my friends and no rebuking!!!
BTW...I bought five of them!!!!!!!!

Yep...Poppa Johns is better.....
We buy one every now and then. I think if it interfers with the money you have to pay your bills and your sittin the dark freezing you behind off, I think that would constitute a problem...
Our state does not participate in that particular lotto....If it did I would have bought a ticket to....
