I will share briefly my testimony. I grew up going to Church, against my will for the most part. Though baptized at the age of eleven, and as teen I was not interested in Church. By the end of high school and the beginning of college, I was into the normal revelry that a young man these days is into. By the time I was 24 though, I was beginning to realize that life is not forever. It's quite fleeting in fact! As I came to terms with my own mortality I grew very scared, and uncertain about 'life after death'.
Then, late one evening I was watching Lesea Broadcasting. I saw an infomercial about a coming Holy Land tour. As I gazed upon the Garden of Gethsemane, the Sea of Galilee, the Western Wall, it dawned on me that the Bible is more than just a book with some fun stories. It all really happened! Jesus is real! I finished the infomercial, slipped into bead and prayed a simple prayer: 'God, my way isn't working. I'm going to do it you're way from now on'.
Suddenly a sensation like a rushing wind 'blew' through my body. It was very intense and honestly a little scary (the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom). I didn't know about Acts chapter two until a week later when I read it.
Anyway, from that moment until right now I have never wavered. I was in Seminary within a year and now I have my own ministry website. I believe the 'Holy Land' infomercial was a prophetic moment in my life, and one day, if the Lord tarries, I hope to go to Israel. I have a great love for the Jewish people and the Hebrew roots of our Christian faith. In fact, the first sermon I heard preached after my conversion was on 'firstfruits' - one in a series of seven teachings on the seven prophetic feasts! Shalom!
