OK - there is a lot of controversy in using bible codes for prophecy. I am throwing this out there for everyone's thoughts. I am sure there will be a wide range of responses!

I was doing a search on current up to date info on the missing teen from Alabama, Natalee Holloway. I came across this website.....

www.revelation13.net/KingJames2c.html

The information on what was found regarding her is incredible to me. I do feel like something has happened to her and that thee could be some substance to this, especially how well it coinsides with some of the verses. Has anyone seen this website and looked at these bible codes? T. Chase is the person who has done them following "The Bible Code", by Michael Drosnin.

The only thing I am unsure of is the astrology and the new age stuff he also addresses on his site. I am positve the bible speaks negativley of these. SO that throws me for a loop! The main site is ...

I'd love feedback on this! I appreciate all the time you guys put into this forum. You've helpped me in so many ways to learn things or understand things better.
Thanks to all!

May you all be blessed and kept safe as we head for even crazier times!

Hi there!

There are alot of websites that are dedicated to the Bible Codes but alas, a good majority of them are not of God. This particular site uses astrology which you should be very aware of!

I should stick to our Shekels site for now! 1dsz5h2.gif

Is it wrong to look for ones name
in the Bible Codes?

The following is written in response to the many that ask me this question in one way or another.
******************

Hi!

Yes, I do think that looking for one's name is not morally acceptable. It can be a form of divining. Basically, I only look for Christ Jesus in the bible codes as He leads me. When I look for codes, I do not just get on the computer and look for just anything. On average I use the computer program to do a search only about once or twice a year.
And God confirms what He has shown me with dramatic signs and wonders. Not that signs and wonders prove anything in and of themselves, for devils can do as much (though to a limited degree), but if there were no signs and wonders following the word then there would be something wrong. For when God does something new and important it is always with signs and wonders following.

Wrongly, I myself have looked for my own name once or twice and did not feel right about doing it. I do not recommend doing that to anyone. It is a wrong focus, and gives space for the enemy to deceive us. Even the whole matter of the bible codes is really only for a temporary sign (it seems to me), and chiefly to the Jew. It really does not and cannot give us brand new information, but only proves existing things (and perhaps interprets them). Essentially, then, the codes are given as a sign to prove that Jesus is the Christ --- the Messiah --- and that the Bible is trustworthy to put ones faith in. I personally believe that there will come a day when the Lord will mercifully have me remove the codes website because it will have served its function as a sign to the Jews and Gentiles, and I will have completed my wearisome task. Surely no sign is meant to last forever except the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus Himself.

Let me end by saying that there are very few sites on the bible codes that are being led by the Spirit in their search ---very few indeed! As a result they do not meet the criterion of being genuine codes --- at least as far as I am concerned. (See "20 proofs that this code is genuine".)

All the best!

Some things I keep in mind always when discerning if something is of God....

1. God is right 100% of the time and does not contradict himself.
2. Satan has a counterfeit for every good thing God does.... its how he attempts to divide and conquer...a lot of truth with just alittle error sprinkled in where it "counts"

coun·ter·feit ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kountr-ft)
v. coun·ter·feit·ed, coun·ter·feit·ing, coun·ter·feits
v. tr.
To make a copy of, usually with the intent to defraud; forge: counterfeits money.
To make a pretense of; feign: counterfeited interest in the story.

v. intr.
To carry on a deception; dissemble.
To make fraudulent copies of something valuable.

adj.
Made in imitation of what is genuine with the intent to defraud: a counterfeit dollar bill.
Simulated; feigned: a counterfeit illness.

n.
A fraudulent imitation or facsimile.

Main Entry: 2counterfeit
Function: transitive verb
: to make an imitation of without authorization and esp. with intent to deceive or defraud <whoever falsely makes, alters, forges, or counterfeits any deed —U.S. Code> —coun·ter·feit·er noun

adj : not genuine; imitating something superior; "counterfeit emotion"; "counterfeit money"; "counterfeit works of art"; "a counterfeit prince" [syn: imitative] [ant: genuine] n : a copy that is represented as the original [syn: imitation, forgery] v : make a copy of with the intent to deceive; "he faked the signature"; "they counterfeited dollar bills"; "She forged a Green Card" [syn: forge, fake]

The nature of a counterfeit anything is to be so close to the real deal that only one well trained in the real deal can tell the difference.:

Matthew 24:24 (King James Version)

24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect

That's why our number one priority should be to read the Word... the Bible... let The Holy Spirit teach you and lead you.

Personally,
I watched this website a couple of years looking and searching for error in the codes. And I prayed for the Lord to show me anyhting that contradicts with his word... (in the code part of this website). I found nothing unbiblical here. It only serves to bolster and confirm HisWord.

But....

Run, run, ......don't go back!

You've answered your own question! biggrin.gif

What got me is that this site (Shekels- - though I think of it as God's site... Shekel's the main administrator! biggrin.gif - no disrespect meant Shekel!) is used only to glorify God. Others I have seen (including the one you mentioned) are being used to glorify man... i.e. "Look what I found... Look what I predicted... aren't I good?"

God will/is leading you. smile.gif

One word of advice... once you find that something is not of God... stay away! Satan is very tricky... don't entertain satan's counterfeits for any reason once you identify that something is not of God...... you know the old saying..."If you play with fire....." biggrin.gif

May God bless you as you draw closer to him! wub.gif

In my past (several years ago) I dabbled in Astrology, I read tarot cards and many other things that I now know are not of God! I agree, with lov4all! I would delete that site from my bookmarks, and never visit again. There are lots of ways for the devil to mix in his lies with some of the truth to trap the unwary! I even told some of the same lies that I hear others spouting off today, such as "The powers of mind reading, tarot cards, etc. come from out spirit, and our spirit believes in God, therefore it must be of God" Now I know that is a lie, for even the devil believes in God. He knows for a fact that God is real, and uses everything in his power to lure us off the true path!
I thank God that He showed me the truth of this always!! Amen and 1dsz5e4.gif

When I frist read Grant Jefferies book on the codes one of the frist things he said was it was divination to look for things in the future. I think it shows a lack of trust in God to get in front of Him to see what He is going to do.I beleive the codes were put there to show the greatness of God, that He had all things planned from the beginning.

Oh yes how I believe this.
I have enough for today that is all I can handle.
Lord willing tomorrow He will grant us another day to do great things for
His kingdom. All for Him!

Oh I love God and I always picture myself walking up a long ladder and sitting
on His knee and giving Him all my burdens. Walking back down and feeling as light as a feather. Thank you Lord for making my burdens light. I needed this
reminder myself tonight.

Hi just signed on today. I read Michael Drosnin's first book on Bible Codes and was a skeptic. As I was reading, got to a certain page questioning, my mind was working overtime as to whether this is truth or not!

The Lord said to me, "These Codes are valid, and there are more bible codes that have not been found as yet." If I had not received this word, I would not have accepted this information. Seems really far out doesn't it! :)

Blessings, ethel
