“Hopefully, 2005 was a blip - a year of unlucky extremes and disasters, and not the beginning of an irreversible global trend to weather weirdness and meteorological mayhem,” writes David Phillips, the senior climatologist for Environment Canada who issued the report.

Mr. Phillips, who was called on regularly this year to explain seemingly freak weather to bewildered reporters, has argued repeatedly that weather was generally more extreme and less predictable this year. That explanation was echoed in Thursday's list of most serious weather events of the year."

Yes He sure is! Pretty soon Canada's infinite supply of beer will dry up, then we'll know that the signs are indeed here!

God has a sense of humor too! Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding, didn't he? But the Bible also says for us to be sober!

"be ye sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)

Jesus tells us to watch for the signs: Matthew 24, Mark 13 & Luke 21 really sums up what is happening today. cool.gif

Your right we are to be sober. I am a sober Canadian but I sure do have a sense of humour. Now my grandfather sure does love his Canadian beer. He has one everyday after lunch. Maybe that is why he made it to 93 LOL!!!

I live in wine country, but in South Africa, more beer than wine gets consumed. We have the "MEN" here that loves to barbecue, beer and sunshine and only talks rugby. (Sorry SA guys, but its true.)
