8-Day Watch: December 25 - January 1, 2006

This year Hanukkah (the Festival of Lights) interestingly begins on Christmas, December 25, and ends on the first day of 2006, 01/01. Hanukkah, meaning "dedication", is an eight-day Jewish festival in which traditionaly a new candle is lit each day on the menorah. If you look closely at the menorah, it contains nine candles, not eight. The center candle is used for lighting the other 8 candles. Exactly one year ago, a 9.3 earthquake shook the globe within only a matter of hours after Christmas. This appears to be one of numerous signals that we should pay very close attention to this particular Hanukkah. I believe that this should be a period of alertness, prayer and special dedication for the coming year. Nothing happens by accident. As most of you know, last week I broke my small finger on my right hand. As I was typing this message, I noticed that my other nine fingers form the picture of a menorah. Do not be caught off guard as we enter into the New Year, but prepare yourself in repentence, holiness and dedication to the Lord, for his coming draweth nigh!

Blessings,

Dennis,

Thank you for posting that. Where was that Tim thread that we were going to pin! We should have a Tim's corner or something like that. Didn't God give him the prophecy about the tsunami if I can remember correctly, I think so. Hard to imagine that happened one year ago.
