If the beginning of the Ez. 38 war is prior to the rapture and sealing...and Jacobs eyes are opened when the Lord destroys the enemy as they approach Israel. (Ez.39:22) I believe the 144,000 won't be able to shut their mouths once their eyes are opened. Do they scripturally begin their witnessing at the beginning of the 70th week?

There is nothing recorded in visionary prophecy between the 69th and the 70th week. Nothing. Church out + 144,000 sealed; trumpets 1-6, MBG's "great city" destroyed (western capitalism will fall), little horn conquers Middle East (king of south-Egypt, moderates-3, Israel); little horn destroys outside opposition-far north (indo- European), far east (orient); little horn rules for 42 months; little horn is defeated at Armageddon.

Ezekiel's vision starts with the invasion of Israel just before midweek; it ends with the battle of Armageddon (there is nothing in the vision between these two events). Gog is Satan and his forces (alliances) are Islamic and Middle Eastern only. The land designators are ancient Middle Eastern ... no further. The little horn will rise in the northern sector of the Middle East (ancient Syrio-Babylonia .... the Assyrian) ... not Russia. Daniel's 4th beast (dominion) is the Islamic Middle East. Gog is Satan, Abaddon is his christ, and the little horn is the human king of the north (in the Middle East).

The battle of Armageddon will require cleansing of the Land and removal of battle gear. The Lord will instruct Israel to do this. 7 months for the carnage and 7 years to burn the materials. These activities will be carried out just at the first part of the Lord's millennial reigh. The inhabitants of His 1,000 year Kingdom will be mortals who survive the 70th week (both Israel and the nations). The Lord will rule from Jerusalem and the earth will be much like it is today except He will enforce laws to prevent envirnmental polution and He will control human behavior. They will not govern themselves again. And, Satan will be in the abyss.

The two witnesses (prophets) that the Lord will sent to Israel do their service during the same period that the beast rules for 42 months. [Revelation 11] They will be on earth, in Jerusalem, and right in his face (protected). The Church will still be in heaven and observing the tribulation on the earth during their witness. John is told to measure the temple and those that worship therein. This is the Lord's temple in heaven. He then is told not to measure the temple mount on the earth ..... it is "without" the temple (not there today) .... because it will be given over to the beast and his followers (Gentiles ... not Israel)) for 42 months.

The beast (who will possess the little horn) and his followers (I think Islamic) will be in possession of Israel, Jerusalem, and the temple mount for 1,260 days just before Armageddon. The Israelite remnant will be hiding and protected in the Jordanian wilderness for the same time period.

The Alasqa Mosque sits on the mount now and I would speculate that this is the temple that the beast will sit in and claim that he is the manifestation of his god. He will sit in the temple of "his" god showing that he is god. The other childern of Abraham (Ishmael and Esau) do not have the birth rights and are also totally deceived by the satanic perversion of monotheistic Judiasm. They think they are the chosen and that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is Allah, who is not a god at all, but Satan.

O k...............So you are saying that the two wittnesses begin thier ministry at the onset of the Abomination of Desolation from what I gather.........................................Why are the two wittnesses ascending into heaven, when armaggeddon is already over with,......The Lord had already split Mount Olivet in two,...The Lord is already on the Earth along with the Bride.....At the end of the 1260 days,...starting from the moment that the Abomination of Desolation transpires,....The whole worlds eyes are on The Lord, and His Bride Approuching the earth........Do you see what I am getting at?.................It does not make sense to place the ministry of the two wittnesses in the second half of Daniels 70th week..............................benny

>Yes. They begin their ministry at midweek and the beast is allowed to kill then at the end of the same 1,260 days .... they are then taken up. The battle of Armageddon is next and will conclude in the 30 days following for a total of 1,290 days [See Daniel 12}. The initial invasion of Israel and the battle of Armageddon are not congruent. The invasion of the little horn will occur just before midweek, he will rule for 42 months, and then forced to fight the Lord at Armageddon. Ezekiel's vision includes the invasion and the ending results at Armageddon ..... but not the 42 month rule of the beast.

It is a real challenge and it does take time. It is like constructing a building. Foundation, framework, and details.

Heaven is a state of existance, not necessarily a place, and in a different dimension which we cannot detect with our natural senses and cannot enter with our physical bodies. I know l'm still thick but where's the Ez 38 invasion here? And God destroying them as they come marching in..?

I learned from my particular translation that the battle isn't against flesh and blood but principalities, powers, rulers of the world of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places.

Do you think those bound at the river Euphrates belong to one of these groups and do you think even though they are bound that they still have influenc with in the kingdom of darkness to give orders and have influence? Don't know why l'm wondering...just am. They are the ones that had sexual relations with the women of the earth in Gen. 6....They will no doubt be at it again to impregnate and corrupt the blood line.

The off spring would be quite young at Christs coming and l wondered if this would have anything to do with the reason for what happens after 1000 years.

Spiritual wickedness in high places... In the air? or just figuratively? Or in the flesh? Do you think those that are released from the Euphrates or fall from the sky have the ability to appear and disappear as well as the new-bodied believers?

Who do you think the 'powers' are? (I know we're off topic..) but not really. Baal? Or would you say he is a principality? I keep wondering if the rulers of the world of darkness are those chained at the Euphrates. That their power is limited to the under world until the time of their release. Are they released as part of the judgement? Is that God's intent?

The winds of war blowing through the region are also being felt in Syria, as the country begins checks of its public bomb shelters for the first time since 1973.



Syrian media outlets reported Wednesday that while residents of towns on the border with Israel are independently looking after themselves
and shelters, the 'civil guard' began checking the state of bomb shelters in Damascus.


A senior member or the civil guard in Damascus said the body was "working to make sure the shelters were in good shape as a step to prepare for any future development. This is especially true for shelters who have over the years turned into stores, clubs, and even homes."


"Imagine if God forbid a war broke out and they tried to enter here, they would probably prevent it," said Abu Majdi, a senior civil guard member, while pointing at a home in Damascus built in a former shelter.


'We'd be kicked out'



"They would say this was private property and kick us out of here. The law would back up the owners, and indeed this is their house," he said.


"This was a public bomb shelter in a building in which we lived," said Mona, a resident of the Bab Shraki neighborhood in Damascus.


"In the days of the October War (The Yom Kippur War – R.N) all of the people would go down here to protect themselves," she said.


This shelter has also been renovated and Mona does not know where to go in case of an emergency. "This shelter has been sold and bought and we don't even know by who. Once it was open a store for cellular phone equipment, afterwards as a warehouse, and later as a home, before finally becoming a barber shop. The problem is that if it is private property we have no right to enter it in any situation."


The Syrian regime has set up a committee to look into the state of bomb shelters in various areas in Damascus and to prepare them "for any eventually."


Despite the situation on the ground, the head of Damascus' governor's bureau said the public bomb shelters in Damascus were ready and would be used during a time of war.

WASHINGTON - The terror scheme disrupted in London is "suggestive of an al-Qaida plot," the Bush administration said Thursday as it issued its highest terrorism alert ever for commercial flights from Britain to the United States and raised the threat level for all domestic and international flights.

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said there was no indication of plotting in the United States but said officials cannot assume that the terror operation in Britain had been completely thwarted.

The administration raised the threat level for flights from Britain to "red," designating a severe risk of terrorist attacks. All other flights, including all domestic flights in the United States, were put under an "orange," alert — one step below the highest level.

The U.S. government banned all liquids and gels from flights, including toothpaste, makeup, suntan lotion. Baby formula and medicines were exempted.

Chertoff said the alleged plot appeared to be engineered by al-Qaida, the terrorist group that carried out the Sept. 11, 2001, attack against the United States.

"It was sophisticated, it had a lot of members and it was international in scope," said Chertoff. "It was in some respects suggestive of an al-Qaida plot."

He added, however, that "because the investigation is still underway we cannot yet form a definitive conclusion."

Chertoff said the plotters were in the final stages of planning before execution. "We were really getting quite close to the execution phase," he said. He said it was unclear whether the alleged plot was linked to the upcoming fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 strikes.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said the operation could "potentially kill hundreds of innocent people." Britain said 21 people had been arrested, including the alleged "main players" in the plot.

FBI Director Robert Mueller also pointed at al-Qaida. "This had the earmarks of an al-Qaida plot," he said.

Chertoff said it envisioned multiple explosions in multiple aircraft.

The new security measures caused long backups and delays at airport security checkpoints throughout the United States and around the world. "We are taking some very serious and inconvenient measures," Chertoff said. He said it was advisable to have more protection and scale it back.

The alleged plot was "as sophisticated as any we have seen in recent years as far as terrorism is concerned," Chertoff said.

Chertoff said there was no indication of any plotting in the United States but the United States was taking step to protect against unseen threats or copycat attacks. "We cannot assume that this threat has been completely thwarted," the secretary said.

"There's sufficient uncertainty as to whether the British have scooped up everybody," Chertoff said.

British authorities said the plan envisioned bringing down a number of aircraft with midflight explosions. Chertoff said the terrorists planned to bring various bomb components in a benign state aboard the planes and combine them once the planes were aloft to create and detonate explosive devices.

Terrorists specifically had targeted United, American and Continental airlines, two U.S. counterterrorism officials said. One said the terrorists had hoped to target flights to major airports in New York, Washington and California, all major summer tourist destinations.

American and United flights were turned into terrorist weapons on Sept. 11, 2001, when they were hijacked and crashed.

Hastily printed signs were posted at major airports warning passengers in red capital letters, "No liquid or gels permitted beyond security."

It is the first time the red alert level in the Homeland Security warning system has been invoked, although there have been brief periods in the past when the orange level was applied. Homeland Security defines the red alert as designating a "severe risk of terrorist attacks."

Officials said the government has been aware of the nature of the threat for several days, and President Bush was fully briefed.

Initial word of the increased U.S. threat level came in an overnight written statement issued by Chertoff.

The plot was not believed to be connected to the Egyptian students who disappeared in the United States more than a week ago before reaching a college they were supposed to attend in Montana. Three of the 11 have since been found and the FBI has said neither they nor the still-missing eight are believed to be a threat.

As part of the foiled Bojinka Plot to blow up 12 Western airliners simultaneously over the Pacific Ocean in the mid-1990s, terrorist mastermind Ramzi Youssef planned to put together an improvised bomb using liquid in a contact lens solution container.

The metal detector and X-ray machines at airport security checkpoints cannot detect such explosives. At many, but not all airport checkpoints, the TSA has deployed walkthrough "sniffer" or "puffer" machines that can detect explosives residue.

Prime Minister Tony Blair's office said in London that the prime minister, vacationing in the Caribbean, had briefed Bush on the situation overnight.

The Homeland Security Department devised the alert system after the Sept. 11 attacks. The last time the U.S. government raised the terrorist risk here to orange, or high, was in July 2005 after the subway bombings in London. It was lowered to yellow a month later, the elevated risk status that has been the norm since the system was created.
