Stephen states

Satan enters the body of Gog?. Your statement here is a knee jerk reaction. Satan is Gog. Satan is a fallen angelic just as the Bible tells us and he is the god of this world. It is Abaddon-Apollyon, the first beast of Revelation who becomes the little horn.

Stephen states

You need to discover that Satan [gog] is the god of the beast [Abaddon-Apollyon] and the little horn [human king]. It is the little horn's human body that will be killed and buried at Armageddon. Just like the Lord's body was killed and buried. The difference .... the Lord went up .... the little horn will become bird food. Satan aspires to be god, the beast [the fallen angelic king of the abyss ..... the destroyer] is his mimic "christ", and the little horn is his human "son of man" [the man of lawlessness]. Satan is a pretender. Get it? As to your question why kill and bury Satan's human manifestation ..... ask the Lord about it and He will explain it to you.

Stephen, You quote an opinion and a lot of scriptures, and you still have not answered my question......is it because that you cannot???.........I will ask you again........If satan were Gog, then why kill and bury him?.......You see, satan can influence Gog....but there is nothing in the bible that states that satan enters gog's body..........the problem with your theory is that in the time frame....satan is not destined to be killed and buried as in Ezekial 39;11......so gog is not satan.......................................................................benny cool.gif
benny balerio
Stephen,...your claim stating that abbaddon is the beast who enters the little horn(anti-christ......is flawed and incorrrect............you see the bible reveals that satan enters the anti-christs body, just slightly before the A.O.D.................but you are claiming that abaddon enters the anti-christ just before the A.O.D. .......The problem with your theory is that Abaddon and his minions are not released until the A.O.D. has already begun, when unbelievers have the mark of the beast......trumpets 5,6,and 7.....begin during the mid-trib, and not before!......................................................benny cool.gif

What's this?

Former deputy defense minister Ephraim Sneh said Tuesday that Israel cannot allow Iran to nuclearize.

"65 years aftyer Auschwitz, we cannot allow someone who wants to wipe Israel off the map to obtain the tools to get away with it," Sneh told The Jerusalem Post.

Sneh recently visited Hiroshima, one of the Japanese cities that the US attacked with nuclear weapons in World War II.

"Iran cannot be allowed to do that to Tel Aviv," Sneh said.

Benny,

Your ideas need upgrading for a more precise understandng. Study on. I have answered all that you have time to digest. Some things you do not see ....
benny balerio
Stephen,...the only thing that you have done is avoid my question.....at least the post-tribbers come right out and explain what they believe....but you cannot simply answer a direct question with a simple answer......But you cannot answer my question because your theory is full of error........so your so-called slick way of avoiding my question is by telling me..."ask the Lord about it and He will explain it to you."........................Satan is not the chief prince of Meshec and Tubal......Satan is not Gog!....Gog is destined to be buried Ezekial 39;11........Satan is destined to be bound for a thousand years......Abaddon is not the beast......The anti-christ also is not gog!,the little horn is not gog, the assyrian is not gog.......................................................................................
..................gog is a man and can be mortally killed and buried....and if you cannot see that, then I would say................good luck on deceiving people......because it's not working for me..........................................................benny cool.gif
Stephen
The answer is simple. I don't think you understand the make up of Satan, the fallen angelics, and their interactions with humans as presented in scripture. No need to get hostile and label me as a deceiver .... you know better. I have no reason to deceive anyone. You just don't like what I am revealing in the process of studying the Bible because it does not fit with your pre-documented position on some things. I have explained in detail how I understand the subject in question and have certainly not failed to answer ..... you say this, and you should think about what you are saying and why. Anyone who has read my recent posts in answer to your question can see that I have given you the answer that you claim I am avoiding. Whether you believe it or not, is another thing. So do not say that I have not answered for the purpose of winning your argument. Thank you.

I agree with you Stephen.
Benny, here is a noob question (I am the noob, as you said): Does it matter whether Gog is a person, spirit or an army or even an entire nation? Not to me.
What I do know is that God has an open bill with this "entity" and God is utterly going to burry him at his feet. Regardless if this fallen angel hides in a person or army or nation.
NIGHTMARE
Revelation 20:8 "And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea."

"Gog and Magog" means from "the east to the west". And we see Satan will cover the earth again for the deception of all mankind. Can you believe that, friend, Satan will still have his followers and hoards of unbelievers ready to give battle for him. After 1,000 years of teaching, the tribulation of the seven trumpets, and visually seeing Satan as the fallen one (deceived of the earth) in prison, they still follow him in large numbers.

benny balerio
but that is not true......,you have not answered my question......This reminds me of the burglar who was under the swimming pool hiding.....the cops lifted the swimming pool and discovered the burglar....yet the burglar kept his eyes closed, thinking"If I keep my eyes closed, the cops will not see me..........................Stephen,..answer the question!.....I will re-word it so that youy may understand.......Can satan be killed and buried?....................benny cool.gif

Israeli intelligence chief warns of massive attack on 60th anniversary

JERUSALEM, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian militant groups are seeking to launch a wide-scale attack on Israel's 60th Independence Day in May, Israeli Military Intelligence chief Amos Yadlin warned Tuesday.

The major general told the cabinet that his agents have detected signs indicating the militants are planning an ambitious attack, which might resemble the one the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) foiled ten days ago at the border with the Gaza Strip, local daily Ha' aretz reported.

The Hamas movement was also trying to break the blockade imposed on the coastal strip through another border breach, and the site might be on the Israeli border this time, Yadlin added, alluding to the January breach on the Egyptian border where Egypt has beefed up military presence.

"However, if the popular move fails, Hamas may try to breach the border in a military operation," he was quoted as warning.

Attempts to kidnap Israelis are also possible, along with sniper shots along the border and explosive devices in the area, he added, noting that the political leaders of Hamas are losing some of their power to the military leaders.

In the foiled attack on the early morning of April 19, 13 IDF soldiers were wounded when two explosive-laden vehicles, disguised as military jeeps, exploded near the Kerem Shalom crossing after approaching under heavy morning fog, while another vehicle was prevented from blasting.

Hamas has agreed to an Egyptian proposal on a ceasefire with Israel, while Israeli officials have said such a deal has no point before Hamas restrains other militant groups from attacking the Jewish state.

To me it is irrelevant what you think of Satan, for I know that God can burry him in the blink of an eye if He wants to.
So wasting time on these futile questions may be good for ones ego, but not to further the Kingdom of God.
Gog is a fallen angel and if he can be burried, so can Satan.

Further, keep in mind that Satan leads an army of fallen angels, and the spirit of Satan is in them (and they become a part of him) just like our Lord is in the Saints and believers (and they become part of Him). You are too much focused on the physical world while I am talking about the spiritual realm. It is a huge difference, due to the high permeability of the spiritual realm. I hope you understand what I am saying, for I can not find better words to describe this.

Stephen
Benny,

"Can satan be killed and buried?

Yes. His entire effort through his human followers will be "buried" at Armageddon. He looses the game. Satan's [Gog's] final extinction will be in the lake of fire. First the abyss for 1,000 years .... then the lake of fire 1,000 years later. Satan's [Gog's] "investment" in human rebellion will become bird food and buried in the valley of Hamongog at Armageddon. Essentially, Satan is "buried" by his devastating losses of those who were worshiping him throught his beast and little horn. His entire gae plan will be destroyed ..... buried .... and he will be tossed in the abyss.

His [Gog's] second attempt 1,000 years later to foment a human rebellion after being released from the abyss to deceive the nations [symbolically Magog] again will also fail. The result will be elimimation by a purging fire .... no bird food residual to clean up, no burying of the humans involved. Satan then will be burned [destroyed] in the lake of fire forever. Your view is one dimentional, from the material world, and focused upon the aspect of human involvement only. You do not see the Lord's view of the bigger picture of Satan's [Gog's] involvement in rebellion against Him. Don't ask me to answer you again. It is you who has to deal with your view, not me.

Stephen
"Stephen,...did you not once state that the Ezekial 38 invasion against Israel would be led by the little horn(AKA..assryian,anti-christ)?

Yes Benny. The little horn of Daniel is the human king of the north. He and his human followers will invade Israel just before midweek. He is the "human" component of Satan's mimic. The angelic component will be Abaddon-Apolloyn .... the beast from the abyss.

NM,

I will re-post it again for you. Hold on.

Just for you Benny:

Isaiah
14:4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

14:5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

14:6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

14:7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

14:8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

14:9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

14:10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

14:11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

14:16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

14:17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

14:18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.

14:19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

14:20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

14:22 For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.

14:23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.

14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

14:25 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

14:26 This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.

14:27 For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

Ezekiel
28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

28:3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:

28:4 With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:

28:5 By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:

28:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

28:7 Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

28:8 They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.

28:9 Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.

28:10 Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

28:11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

28:19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Micah
5:1 Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.

5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

5:3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.

5:4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

5:5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

5:6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

Daniel
7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

7:26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

8:8 Therefore the he goat [Alexander] waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

8:10 And it [the beast] waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars [angelics] to the ground, and stamped upon them.

8:11 Yea, he [the beast] magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.

8:12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom [the divided Middle East], when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace [rational for destroying to bring peace] shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

11:36 And the king [little horn] shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

11:38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces [Abaddon-Apollyon]: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

11:39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds [his following] with a strange god [Abaddon-Apollyon] whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them [his following]to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

11:40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south [Egypt] push at him: and the king of the north [the little horn] shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

11:41 He shall enter also into the glorious land [the invasion of Israel at midweek], and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon [region where the believing remnant of Israel will be protected].

11:42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

11:43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and Put and the Cush [Iraq] shall be at his steps.

11:44 But tidings out of the east [far east-orient] and out of the north [far north-Russian] shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

11:45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

Luke
21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies [the direct ancient Middle Eastern enemies of Israel], then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

21:21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains [Midweek]; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

21:23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

21:24 And they [Israel] shall fall by the edge of the sword [again], and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles [mote Revelation 11:2], until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Zechariah
14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

14:2 For I will gather all nations [of the Middle East] against Jerusalem to battle [the invasion at midweek]; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle [the battle of Armageddon at the end of the week].

Ezekiel
38:2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief [angelic] prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

38:3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

38:7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

38:8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them [they are safe today and will be until midweek].

38:9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

38:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time [at the midpoint of the 70th week] shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

38:11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

38:12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

38:15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

38:16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

38:17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he [Satan has many Ids in visionary prophecy] of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

38:18 And it shall come to pass at the same time [at the end of the 70th week] when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.

38:19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

38:20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

38:21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother.

38:22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

Revelation
16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

16:19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

16:20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

38:23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

39:1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

39:2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel [invasion of Israel at the midpoint of the 70th week]:

39:3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand [at the end of the 70th week].

39:4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.

39:5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

39:6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

39:7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

39:8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

Revelation
19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Ezekiel
39:9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:

39:10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.

39:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog [Satan’s human hosts] a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog [Satan’s human pawn, the little horn] and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.

39:12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.

39:13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.

39:14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.

39:15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.

39:16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

39:17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.

39:18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

39:19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.

39:20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.

39:21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

39:22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day [at the end of the 70th week] and forward.

39:23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.

39:24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

39:25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

39:26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.

39:27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;

39:28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there [at the end of the 70th week].

39:29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

Revelaton
12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: [and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born].

9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion [Middle Eastern kingdoms]: and the [u]dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority[/u].

17:8 The beast that thou sawest was [ruled over the ancient Middle East], and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

17:10 And there are seven kings [king positions and related kingdoms]: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

17:13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the [b]beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit[/u] shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

19:21 And the remnant [little horn and human followers] were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan [gog] shall be loosed out of his prison [the abyss]

20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog [Satan], and Magog [symbolic of the nations Satan deceives], to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them [no bird food and no clean up required].

20:10 And the devil [Satan] that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

NM,

Here is the post:

Benny,

"Stephen,I am glad that you think that I am funny ..........Stephen,If satan were Gog....Then why kill and bury him?...................................benny"

14:16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

28:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

38:19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

39:25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

39:26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.

39:27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;

19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

Ok I am familiar with everything you posted, im not sure what your getting at though-- so maybe you can show me why you believe Gog to be a fallin angel if thats what you believe........

NM,

There are a number of reasons as indicated in the post. I will add these thoughts briefly. Gog is not human. This entity appears in scripture during the invasion of Israel and the battle of Armageddon. The same then appears 1,000 years later as the instigator of another human rebellion. Human life span is obviously limited and a human is not in view here. Satan is ancient [angelics do not age], has been around since the beginning, and he is the Lord's main usurper. This battle will play out on the earth at the time of the end. Read Ezekiel 38:17. The Lord again addresses Satan [Gog} in this verse. Satan is the one recorded by the other prophets [like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Micah, etc.] who will come against Israel during the time of the end. Satan does his bidding through human agents and followers. He has many different names and titles, and he is revealed in the related passages in Ezekiel as well as the other prophets.

Simple deduction benny, but you got to use your grey cells.
No where in the Word of God is God so outspoken in claiming a victory over anyone as He elaborates on how He is going to burry Gog.
Now what does that tell you? Even a child can figure it out.

Where does the Word speak of FURY COMING UP MY FACE?

Ez. 38
[16] And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
Stephen
Satan is Gog, and he will be defeated in his ambitions against the Lord and Israel. His entire efforts through human intransigence will be "buried" at Armageddon. From "that day forward" Israel and the nations will know and accept that Jesus Christ is unquestionably .... "the Lord". He will win the victory and will appear personally and visibly to the world .... on the earth just after the battle. No more fooling around. They do not today, and most will not during the tribulation period. All will know at the end of Armageddon and during the following millennium that "He is the Lord". Is it significant to understand that Satan is "gog" in the overall picture? For sure .... if one wants the complete and correct rendition of Bible prophecy including time frames, time lines, and the Lord's purposes. Is it necessary to understand this precept for one's salvation? No. But the value is this: Knowing these things and related will keep false prophets and false teachers from using Bible prophecy to deceive and distort scripture, and then to present falsehood to those who are vulnerable.

Ezekial 38 and Armageddon are not the same battles. Satan will use events to deceive the world that the AC is the messiah. Gog-Magog could be used to accomplish that purpose as it appears very similar to armageddon and at the end the evil leader is killed. This could easily be used as at set up for the AC to come in and present himself as the promised messiah.

As far as Gog occurring during the latter half of the 70th week, that does not appear to fit with what we know about Israel during the GT. According to Rev 12, Satan will pursue Israel and try to destroy Israel, and Israel will be taken to a place in the wilderness prepared by God and protected.

It appears that Israel is protected only in the place in the wilderness, it appears that she cannot leave this place of protection, otherwise any place would be a place of protection, not just the wilderness. If Israel is protected in the wilderness, apparently she is not protected outside the wilderness, as Satan likely still would attempt to destroy Israel.

The prelude to Gog-magog in Ezek 38 does not fit this picture- ' I will invade a land of unwalled villages. I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people....I will turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations..'

Prior to Gog in Ezek 38, Israel will be living in Israel, in villages and the resettled ruins, not in the wilderness as stated in Rev.

Also if Israel has been attacked by Satan and has to live in the wilderness i would doubt that they would be living peacfully and 'unsuspecting', especially if they ever tried to leave the wilderness, they would suspect much would happen.

And as God has prepared a place for Israel in the wilderness, how is it that Gog is able to penetrate God's protection?

And according to Ezek 39: 26, God considers Israel shamed and unfaithful when they lived in saftey in their land, prior to Gog. Prior to Gog it appears that Israel is not relying on God as she is unfaithful and shamed and living in saftey in her own land. This is clearly not the picture we are given about Israel in Rev 12, when she is protected in the wilderness.

And after Gog Israel is regathered to the land of Israel. How can Israel be regathered to the land of Israel during the latter half of the 70th week when the AC and Satan are still active and willing to attack Israel?

The appearance of Israel during the latter half of the 70th week and pre- Gog-magog are not consistent, they are clearly 2 different periods of time.................benny cool.gif

Stephen states that the Assyrian(AKA Anti-christ,little horn) is the one who invades Israel in Ezekial 38(GOG-MAGOG) invasion.......Read the following....You will see the flaws........................................Jesus Christ is to Become Ruler in Israel During the 1000 Year Reign
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that isto be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. -- Micah 5:2 [From the last phrase we can see that Jesus Christ is God.]

He Becomes Ruler When the Remnant of Israel ( his brethren ) Are Restored
Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. -- Micah 5:3

At the Time Jesus Will Be Great Throughout the Entire Earth, during the 1000 Year Reign
And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth. -- Micah 5:4

Jesus Christ Will Be Ruler After the ASSYRIAN Comes and Treads In Israel's Palaces
And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces , then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men . -- Micah 5:5

He [the antichrist] shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain...
- Daniel 11:45. We know that this person who puts his headquarters in Israel is the antichrist. Consequently, since the Assyrian treads in our palaces and the antichrist of Dan 11:45 plants the tabernacles ofhis palace in Israel, they must be the same person, unless another treads the palaces of Israel and we find none other.

Therefore, we have the answer to our question 1 - Is the "Assyrian" the antichrist? The answer is - Yes, the Assyrian is the antichrist. For more information on the Assyrian origin of the antichrist read this .

Antichrist's Own Land (Assyria, the Land of Nimrod) Is Destroyed After He Treads Israel's Borders
And they [the Israelites, his brethren] shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land , and when he treadeth within our borders. -- Micah 5:6

The city of Nineveh was the ancient capital of Assyria, which was located near the present day town of Mosul in northern Iraq. Nimrod established the city of Babylon & erected the Tower of Babel in Iraq. Apparently, the Israelites will waste the land of Nimrod after Christ returns because they would be unable to waste it during the tribulation because of the persecution of the Jews and the tribulation saints by the antichrist.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech , and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, -- Genesis 10:8-11 [More on Calneh ]

Israel Will Become a Blessing in the Midst of the Nations During the 1000 Year Reign of Christ
And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. -- Micah 5:7

After the ASSYRIAN Smites Israel, the Voice of the LORD Beats Him Down
For through the voice of the LORD shall the ASSYRIAN be beaten down, which smote with a rod. -- Isa 30:31

[Since we have already established that the Assyrian is the antichrist, we know Isa 30:31 can not be until Jesus Christ returns in Rev 19:19 because we find the "beast", another name for the antichrist, and the kings, and their armies waiting to fight against Christ as He descends from heaven. Notice that the antichrist shall be beaten down because he (past tense) "smote." Therefore, he is beaten down upon the return of the Lord Jesus Christ at the end of the tribulation in Revelation 19:19, which occurs after the Assyrian antichrist smote [Israel] with a rod during the second half of the tribulation. In fact, the antichrist is not killed, but is cast alive into the lake of fire.

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. -- Revelation 19:19

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. -- Revelation 19:20]

The ASSYRIAN is the Rod of God's Anger Against Unbelieving Israel
O ASSYRIAN, the rod of mine anger , and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey , and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few. -- Isa 10:5-7 [The antichrist has no idea he is the antichrist based upon this last sentence.]

The LORD Punishes the Assyrian When He Has Finished His Whole Work Upon Mt Zion, Jerusalem
Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his WHOLE WORK upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem , I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria , and the glory of his high looks. -- Isa 10:12
[Since the Lord will not finish his whole work upon mount Zion and Jerusalem until He physically returns, then, the King of Assyria is a future Assyrian king, not the ancient king of Assyria.]

The LORD Will Break the Assyrian in Israel
The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: That I will break the ASSYRIAN in my land , and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them . This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations. For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back? -- Isa 14:24-27

[The burden of the antichrist is removed when he is cast alive into the lake of fire in Rev 19:20 after Jesus Christ returns. Up until that time he "continues for forty and two months " during the last half of the tribulation period. The antichrist's yoke shall depart from off [Israel] at the time the LORD of hosts break [s] the ASSYRIAN in my land . A "yoke" is a continuing burden (an "occupation" if you will, such "occupation" being sent forth from the tabernacles of his palace. This "yoke " is to be distinguished from a military incursion. Such an incursion may take place (and we will get to that shortly). However, the point here is to show that the antichrist occupies when he shall tread in our [the Jews'] palaces. In order to occupy the palaces, the antichrist must have a successful incursion.

Some maintain that since Gog shall " fall upon the mountains of Israel" (Ezekiel 39:4) that Gog is the Assyrian and that the Ezekiel 38-39 invasion is the invasion of Jerusalem by the Assyrian. This view may have been taken because Isa 14:25 says the Assyrian is broken "upon my mountains". However, we have already shown that the breaking of the Assyrian is to end the burden ( yoke) of the Assyrian occupation in the palaces of the Jews. Such is not the case in the Ezekiel 38-39 Gog invasion. Gog NEVER makes a successful incursion resulting in occupation of Israel, but is killed during the attempt. Consequently, Gog can impose no yoke or burden upon Israel, especially one that lasts until the physical return of Jesus, the time of the punishment of the Assyrian.

In fact, the Gog invasion is for the express purpose of demonstrating the KNOWLEDGE of THE LORD to the heathen because the LORD HIMSELF destroys Gog in order that He be sanctified in Gog before their eyes.

And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. -- Ezekiel 38:16
On page 353 of Things to Come by Dwight Pentecost, we read a contrary viewpoint " This scourge [as a result of the covenant with deathand agreement with hell of Isa 28:18, which we all know is the false peace agreement to which Israel falls prey] could hardly be the occupation by the beast [antichrist], for he was a party to the covenant, but must refer to the invasion by the "Assyrian" who will be used by the Lord to chasten Israel. The destruction of the Assyrian in the passages referred to seems to parallel the destruction of the armies of Gog in Ezekiel 38-39, and thus, are considered parallel references . "

Here we have Dwight Pentecost saying that the Assyrian is Gog (and the Assyrian is NOT the antichrist). We have already shown that the antichrist is the Assyrian. Superficial examination of Mr Pentecost's quote could yield a quick agreement with his thesis that the antichrist's occupation of Israel is "benign" since the antichrist was a party to the "peace covenant." However, we have demonstrated that the antichrist is never described in the scripture as being a party to the peace covenant, but, is instead an enforcer ("confirm[er]") of the ALREADY EXISTING COVENANT . Therefore, the "scourge" resulting from the "covenant" to which Pentecost refers and which is admitted (by Pentecost) to be the Assyrian is indeed the antichrist himself.

Additionally, in the same book, Things to Come , he states on pg 334 that antichrist is called the Assyrian, thus proving, (if we did not know already) how difficult it is to correlate all the scriptures into a unified whole. Though he does appear to be referring to another source, he makes no critique of the author's assertion that the antichrist is the Assyrian, leaving the reader to believe that the antichrist is the Assyrian, which we have already shown to be the case.

Pentecost states that the timing of the Gog/Magog invasion is near the mid-tribulation as opposed to the end of the tribulation because

Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations , and they shall know that I am the LORD. -- Ezekiel 38:23

Pentecost's point (with which I agree) is that it does little good for the Lord to be known to many nations at the end of the tribulation. Where would be the opportunity to be saved? It seems that being known in the eyes of many nations is for the purpose of turning the lost to the Lord. Further, since the Lord at the end of the millennium has already filled the earth with knowledge of Himself for 1000 years, He would not destroy Gog for increasing knowledge of Himself after having done so for 1,000 years. Additionally, since the earth is burned by fire at the end of the millennium,

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. -- 2 Peter 3:10

why would there be a need to purge the land (Eze 39:11-13) of the bodies (if the Gog invasion was at the end of the millennium)? Consequently, the Gog invasion is at the mid-point of the tribulation or more probably even earlier. Answer to question 2 - When is the invasion of Israel by Gog? Since Gog invades at a time when Israel is at peace (Eze 38:8,11), it could well be that the Gog invasion occurs after the rapture, but immediately before Daniel's 70th week begins. For the invasion to occur at the mid-tribulation, since the invasion occurs when Israel dwells safely, the first half of the tribulation must have peaceful characteristics. This seems unlikely and argues for a pre-tribulation (or early tribulation) invasion.

Let's read of the Gog Invasion-

And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; andI will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD. -- Ezekiel 38:18-23

And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, andwill cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel , thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
-- Ezekiel 39:2-4

Note that THOU [Gog] shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel and be fed to the ravenous birds and beasts of the field. Since Gog DIES without entering the city before he imposes a burdenous "yoke" upon Israel and since the Lord says the Assyrian shall tread in our palaces (Micah 5:5), then Gog can not be the Assyrian. The Lord would hardly be manifesting Himself to nations if He allowed the Gog invasion to result in tread [ing] in Israel's palaces . Further, the Lord said that -

Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his WHOLE WORK upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem , I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria , and the glory of his high looks. -- Isa 10:12
If the Lord kills Gog at the mid-point of the tribulation (as asserted by Pentecost), how can Gog punish his high looks after He returns to earth and finishes His work upon Jerusalem (if Gog IS the Assyrian)? Gog will already be dead. Along this same line of thought reread this-

For through the voice of the LORD shall the ASSYRIAN be beaten down, which smote with a rod. -- Isa 30:31

If Gog is unsuccessful in his invasion of Israel, how can it be said of him that Gog is the Assyrian who smote with a rod? That is the whole point of the LORD destroying Gog - to prove He is God BEFORE they harm Israel.

We have the answer to our question 3 - Is "Gog" also the "Assyrian?" No. Gog can not be the Assyrian.

Further, since we read above -

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. -- Revelation 19:19

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. -- Revelation 19:20

We have the answer to Question 4 - Is "Gog" the antichrist?
The antichrist (unlike Gog) is ALIVE at the second coming; whereas, Gog was killed upon his attempt to invade Israel. Therefore, Gog can not be the antichrist. We have shown previously that Gog can not be the Assyrian. This leaves us with one other choice - the Assyrian is the antichrist and Gog is a political ruler from the north parts.

Benny states:

"Ezekial 38 and Armageddon are not the same battles. Satan will use events to deceive the world that the AC is the messiah. Gog-Magog could be used to accomplish that purpose as it appears very similar to armageddon and at the end the evil leader is killed. This could easily be used as at set up for the AC to come in and present himself as the promised messiah."

>Too many "could bes" and speculations that are not part of scripture here.

As far as Gog occurring during the latter half of the 70th week, that does not appear to fit with what we know about Israel during the GT. According to Rev 12, Satan will pursue Israel and try to destroy Israel, and Israel will be taken to a place in the wilderness prepared by God and protected.

>The invasion of Israel will occur just before midweek. Gog will invade and then pursue the believing remnant who will flee into the wilderness for protection. Most of Israel will be killed in the invasion. He will not be able to reach those who will flee. He and his followers will occupy and rule for 42 months [Israel, Jerusalem, temple mount] .... same time frame for the remnant's protection in the wilderness.

>He will kill 2/3rds of the nation in the invasion and will hunt down and kill any residing outside of the nation [there will be those still in the nations at the time], but he will not be able to touch those protected in the wilderness, or the 144,000 sealed.

The prelude to Gog-magog in Ezek 38 does not fit this picture- ' I will invade a land of unwalled villages. I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people....I will turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations..'

>The original text states "safely" and at rest [in place .... permanent, established] .... not "peacefull and unsuspecting". This will be Satan's [Gog's] assessment of the situation from his view.

Prior to Gog in Ezek 38, Israel will be living in Israel, in villages and the resettled ruins, not in the wilderness as stated in Rev.

>The very reason the believing renmant will flee into the wilderness is because of Satan's [Gog's] invasion and when they see the abomination of desolation set up on the temple mount. The invasion will lead immediately to the confiscation of the temple mount.

Also if Israel has been attacked by Satan and has to live in the wilderness i would doubt that they would be living peacfully and 'unsuspecting', especially if they ever tried to leave the wilderness, they would suspect much would happen.

>The protected remnant will not leave the wilderness until the Lord joins and brings them at the end of the week. Why would they? Their country will be overrun and will be occupied for 42 months. They will not get it back until after the battle of Armageddon.

And as God has prepared a place for Israel in the wilderness, how is it that Gog is able to penetrate God's protection?

>He will go after the remnant as they flee, but will not be able to reach them. He will then proceed with his occupation for 42 months. He and his followers will be ruling the land of Israel, and the remnant will be residing and protected in the wilderness where he cannot reach them.

>The nation does not rely upon the Lord at this time [don't even believe He is the Messiah] and will not during the 70th week [except for the 144,000 and the believing remnant]. 2/3rds of the nation will be killed. Only the believing remnant who flee will be believers and they will have to be protected in the wilderness for 1,260 days before they can return to the land. Otherwise Satan would have them killed as well.

And after Gog Israel is regathered to the land of Israel. How can Israel be regathered to the land of Israel during the latter half of the 70th week when the AC and Satan are still active and willing to attack Israel?

>Israel is in the land before the invasion at midweek ..... just as they are at this time. The nation will then be overrun and occupied. Satan's beast and followers will own the land and rule it. It will become part of their Middle Eastern kingdom for 42 months. Only after this will the Lord bring the remnant from the wilderness back to the land .... after He defeats Satan's beast and his followers.

The appearance of Israel during the latter half of the 70th week and pre- Gog-magog are not consistent, they are clearly 2 different periods of time

>Israel will be in the land as they are today and will remain there until just before midweek. Then Satan's [Gog's] agents and followers will attack and invade the nation successfully and occupy the land. They will destroy everything "Jewish", including 2/3rds of the population, and will claim the promises and the land, and the temple mount for themselves. They will also replace all of the "Jewish" laws and customs with their own. Those left of the nation will either be in the wilderness and protected, or residing outside in the nations during the occupation .... last 1,260 days of the 70th week.

Stephen, you are presenting the same old song and dance.....You state;..."The invasion of Israel will occur just before midweek. "

First of all,it makes more sense for the Ezekial 38 invasion to happen before Daniel's 70th week begins, which I have already explained in earlier topics on this forum...........Second...Ezekial 38 reveals the the invading armies get "ONLY" as far as the mountains north of Israel....and reveals that the invading armies never had a chance to use their weapons at all...For the Lord States;......."EZEKIAL 39;3..."Then I will knock the bow out of your left hand, and cause the arrows to fall out of your right hand.".........Then Stephen states;..."He will kill 2/3rds of the nation in the invasion and will hunt down and kill any residing outside of the nation [there will be those still in the nations at the time]. but he will not be able to touch those protected in the wilderness. "

Yes that is true, the 2/3rd's will die.........but not byway of the Ezekial 38 invasion. The ac is not leading this attack, and never succeeds in reaching Jerusalem, but is stopped, in the mountains north of Jerusalem......This prophecy will come to pass when the A.O.D. comes to pass.......

Stephen states;..."The original text states "safely" and at rest [in place] .... not "peacefull and unsuspecting".

LOL.....you are grasping for straws here......when one performs an analysis....they come to the conclusion
