This is a time to hear again what the angel said that first Christmas, "Do not be afraid: for behold, I bring you good new of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." biggrin.gif
There are many Scriptures that tell us not to fear. Our Lord is greater that anything of this world. This world we know will all be changed but our God is unchangable. Learn what Prov. 3:1-12 mean and especially vs. 5-6. Have a great Christmas as you celebrate the birth of our Lord. smile.gif

1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

I just saw a commercial on a business channel here...a commercial for some insurance company...guess what the images are? A comet coming and striking the earth...Where? Just off the west coast of the USA...

God told me He will speak to me (us) through every available voice...

The words on the screen were something like..."Time Is Up..." If I see it again I will corrrect that...

You know, I've privately interpreted (to myself for about two years now) that Revelation 16:21 actually speaks of a financial collapse. I've never told anyone this, until now, because it runs contrary to all the other popular beliefs of end-time prophecy, so I never bothered to try and convince anyone, not to even suggest that my interpretation is true, but if it does happen, then it is by God's will and not by my understanding.

The KJV uses the word "talent" describing the weight of hailstones; talent is also a Roman reference for a form of currency. So, the talent "falls" as described in Rev 16:21. I also think the weight of about 100 pound is actually the duration of a market collapse, of a hundred days. Financial turmoil in today's global economy would indeed be a terrible plague. I could see how many worldly people would curse God (just as the scripture says) for seeing their pocket books affected.

If the global economy were to fail I think it would affect both Christian and non christians alike, just that Christians would take faith in the matter. Store shelves would dry up just the same and commodities would suddenly become scarce for all.

Rev 6:5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. Rev 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and [see] thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

I have heard it preached that these verses refer to God's people, who carry the oil and wine (Holy Spirit) Protection...much like when the death angel visited the first born of Egypt...

From the article...

"The end game is moving towards his ultimate "checkmate", and the eventual destruction of the US dollar as the world's reserve currency. Should such an event occur, it will have enormous implications for global stability, resulting in a fundamental power shift of epochal proportions. Indeed, it will be "one of history's turning points".

Robert.

the World Trade Center--the Collapse!

my thought is that it foreshadows financial collapse also.

did you know? that at the top of one of the Towers, there was a display of world currency-- both modern and ancient...?
it glorified the history of money and trade...showcasing its development thoughout history right up to modern times.

the ancient city of Tyre is another biblical example of what will yet happen to the "greatest city on earth", New York, the financial capital of the world.

about drunkeness..
when one is "drunk", one is unable to distinguish one thing from another, right from wrong, good from bad.

in the heady pursuit of earthly riches, people have become drunken, unable to discern that their actions are wicked.

they imitate the "world" seeking riches at all costs.
for the love of money is the root of all sorts of injurious things.
people steal, and lie, and even kill for it.

let us remember what is of REAL value.
love, integrity, honesty, and deal with others in a manner that is above reproach, in all our dealings.

God expects this of those that serve him.

We must obey the perfect commands of God.

but robert. i thought your thoughts were of interest. and i was moved to reply. there is another thread about money that i also want to respond to, that ties into your thought here.

--the mark, its connection to money, and "buying and selling". its becoming "compulsory", in order to "buy or sell", connected to the wild beast. (world bank is also a W.B.)

if there was a collapse, financially, and things "revived" or recovered, what sort of thing might we imagine that would be put into place-- in order to buy or sell? and ---at the same time-- "PREVENT TERRORISM"...??

how thankful we can be that those who have no money, can buy, without money, the bread and the water of life, free.

it is a gift from God.

LET US NOT PUT OUR TRUST IN EARTHLY RICHES
NOR IN EARTHING MAN, TO WHOM NO SALVATION BELONGS.

but we have learned and have come to know that our Salvation, indeed the torch of liberty and freedom, the light of the world, is the Christ, who is Jesus....and it is HE that bought us with a precious price.

no amount of gold or silver can match it.

and he gives his life, his blood, as a gift.

value this.

and do not sell it.

have faith in what he has told us, for we are seeing the things come to pass just as he foretold.

let us do what is good and right.
let us bring happiness to the heart of our Divine and Glorious Creator.

remember. do not trade a sacred birth right for a bowl of stew, just because we feel hungry.

let us have deep appreciation for sacred things.

love,
bz

...very scary. You know, I've always said things that people would for some reason ignore, but then come true. I've always shrugged my shoulders, saying whatever and endure the problem with that person.

Ha, the other day I told a friend "let's take my car I'm parked closer." But, no he insisted we take his car because he needed to run some errands. So, just as we were about to reach his car he realized he left his keys in his other pant pocket! We ended up walking twice as far only to take my car laugh.gif

I am certainly not prepared for a financial collapse (converting significant sums into gold and stuff like that), so the only thing I have is to trust Christ.

Peace, and ready your staff.

BZ,

there is truth in those words you say. Anyone holding their faith in Christ must be stead fast, for who knows what a plague in the form of financial hardship would bring. It would be like the sun that burns up the green shoot of a young plant.

As for what you refer to "preventing terrorism" I think I know what you're alluding to. Correct me if I am wrong, I think you're thinking of marking a person that they may not buy or sell things, like with a microchip, right? So, that a government could control people and prevent terrorism. Is that what you mean (I don't want to misunderstand you)?. It is a popular belief in end-time prophesy, but, personnally I don't think that is what would happen. I don't think that would be something to happen after a financial collapse. I think Rev 13:16 means something else. I would have to pray about it before I say anything about it though.

But you're right. The kingdom of heaven is like a pearl, as Jesus said. You sell everything to get it, so never sell it back one you have it! biggrin.gif

Peace, BZ

Gold will do well and my blessing is in the ground. I have been hearing this today

Jam 5:1 Go to now, [ye] rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon [you].
Jam 5:2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
Jam 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
Jam 5:4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
Jam 5:5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
Jam 5:6 Ye have condemned [and] killed the just; [and] he doth not resist you.
Jam 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

Yes Yes Yes. I have been hearing that GOLD is the way to go. I want my parents to withdrawl their money from their 401ks and any significant amounts from savings accounts. I know if I tell them to do so, they will think I'm nuts- so I keep silent (as I write this, I feel a pang of guilt for saying nothing- I just don't like the suspicious looks and the "you are crazy" speech). I know the financial ruin is upon us.

Hey BZ. I will repeat what others have said.... WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smile.gif We missed you.

You know, I've been following the news about the bottle nose whale in the Thames river and how it was lost, disoriented, and injured. The latest is that when the tried to rescue it they got it back on it's way to the ocean but it died. It's sad.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,182406,00.html

During the whole time, though, I could help but think the Lord telling me this is what will happen to the stock market. A whale swiming up to London in the heart of a financial center and dies. It forbodes of bad tithings. sad.gif
