Monday October 13, 2008 I will have back surgery, spine fusion, and would like to ask for prayers. I know that there are important events right now that need prayer coverage and I please ask if you could put aside just a small second to help me be strong. I am not worry about the surgery (it's in God's hand) but I am becoming more and more worried about my mental self. You see, I am a little control freak, meaning I like my things in order and in my house I am truly the "MoM", I am very fussy about cleaning and making sure everyone's okay. Releasing all to my family is really hard for me and knowing that it will be a long time (months..) before I am able to take that role back is slowing easing up on me.

Don't get me wrong, I know by whose Feet I am to leave all this at, it's just not easy. So please pray specifically for that and for help in being wise enough so that once I get home I will listen to my Dr. and rest no matter how chaotic things might get.

i wil keep you in my prayers as my land lords father who is 65 went threw what you are about to go threw on the 13th galaxee he pulled threw i was up praying for my land lords father and he kept in contac with me his father is no longer ussing the walking sticks he was given he is ok god worked through the dr that opperated on my land lords father and he is pleased with his fathers progress now he can travel with out being in so much pain or having short brakes as he drives from Queensland to be with his son who lives in canberra his wife has had to take over the driving and he is happy that he can drive with out depending on his wife


lord i lift galaxee to you i ask that you be with her through out the opperation and father i ask that you fix what needs to be corrected in our sister i come against the fear and i rebuke the fear that wil try to prevent out sister from focusing on you i pray that you will prottect her cover her lord and i thank you for our skilled drs and nurses i pray that you will guide the dr that is going to operate on galaxee i ask that you bless the dr and the staff who wil be in the opperating room i pray for your peace to settle over our sister in jesus name i ask amen

You are in my prayers Galaxee. May our Father watch over you and bring you home safely. AND may our Father instill in you.....PATIENCE to allow yourself to heal. The ABILITY to allow others to help you. The KNOWLEDGE to understand everything doesn't have to be perfect.

galaxee I know your pains....I have had one back surgery several years back and I am in line for a spinal fusion as well. I am protesting the surgery right now....

You do have to be careful and guard yourself against depression. When taking pain medications they trend to depress you. Also, I was a control freak once as well, but this injury in 2002 beat that out of me. I had to release things to my husband and sons as well....

Here are some things that the doctor told me would happen....You will have up and down days during recovery. There will be days you will ask yourself, "Was the surgery worth it." Allow the time it will take you to recover...Don't try to go back to fast to anything. I am 4 years out from my first surgery and I still cannot do certain things. I had a lot of nerve damage to my left leg because of the injury.

When the time is right go to physical therapy, water therapy if you can. Water therapy is non-weight baring...I go once a year for 4 months and it help tremendously.

Keep focusing on Him and Him alone. His wisdom and power in our lives is so very perfect.
Jesus is faithful to continue and complete the work that He began in us, back surgeries and other struggles included.

Sometimes its hard to just remember the simple fact that He really does love us and that He cares for every small detail of our lives.

In Jesus name I ask Father that You would keep galaxee focusing on Your Son, and give her strength to let go of the things that she is gripping tightly to so thta she may rest physically and also tht she may rest in Jesus Your Son. I also ask Lord that You would make this surgery a successful one, that You would be the one that brings healing to her body and Lord, be glorified and praised in all of it.

My husband had the same surgery years ago (like 14 years whew I getting old ) I am sure they have even perfected the surgery even more so now. Even then they had my husband up and walking just a few short hours after surgergy! Whew that still seems crazy to me.

Just please know.....I am praying the Lord will watch over you and be with both you and your family during this time.

galaxee, it is time to have confidence in your family members, that they too can be organized, and I pray that God will inspire them to prove to you that your worries about your family are unfounded.

Maybe make a list of tasks and give short descriptions or instructions will provide them with a houshold minimanual is a good idea?

I do remember when my mom was hospitalized when I was small, we ran the household most urgent duties in a schedule and it worked.
I hope for you to have the same experience. Just lay them in the Fathers Hand.

Thank you all for your prayers from the bottom of my heart. I will take all of your advices and be obedient, I will have water therapy at the beginning then land therapy. I have made a sort of "minimanual" as you advised and I know my family will be a great help. I have no fears of the surgery itself as I know without a doubt that the outcome will come directly from Our Father who is in charge of it all. I am making a commitment as we speak to let go of the control and learn to solely rely on Jesus, my Comforter, my Savior.

Again, Thank you so very much I really do feel the love you are all sending and will heed the sweet, soft spoken word of My Father in Heaven.

I will be praying that Father would ease all your concerns. On the 13th I'll be praying you through surgery... that everything goes well, and for God's wisdom and direction for the surgeon.

Lord Jesus I lift up this woman to you, I ask that you protect her durring surgery and guide the sergeons hands. Help her to be healed quickly and to have improvement in her back.

Lord, please give her the peace necessary for her to take this time of rest to press into you and to not worry about the details of the home. Give her patience with her family and kind words of encouragement to them.

My son has gone through an over-abundance of spine surgeries, so I understand your anxieties. And, he has always bounced right back from them.

I will pray for you, in agreement with my brothers and sisters, that God will take control and handle things for you, that He will keep His hand on the whole situation as you progress through it with Him, and that He will take care of the pain, and the recovery process, and that He will reveal Himself to you, in and through it.
