WASHINGTON – More than 300 rabbis from all streams of Judaism signed a document expressing their support for Democratic candidate Barack Obama for president of the United States. The letter signed by the rabbis displays their stance on Obama's pro-Israel inclinations.


The rabbis wrote that these "continuing efforts to defame him and distort his record help perpetuate a deeply disturbing political process in our country."


Moreover, "we fear that the attempts by some to use Israel as a wedge issue against him, unjustifiably is dangerous in that it politicizes the pro-Israel position."

"With his tough but pragmatic approach to Iran, Senator Obama is in the best position to restore faith in America as a leader in the fight against serious threats to Israel, our allies, and the United States," they write.

"We feel it is our duty as Jewish leaders to fight for the truth and against Lashon Hara (slander)...

Senator Obama has been viciously attacked using innuendoes, rumors, and guilt by association, and we urge our fellow American Jews to judge Senator Obama based on his own record and the clear statements he has made about his personal beliefs and principles," they wrote.

TPJ: And yet McCain picks a V.P. (Sarah Palin) who supported infamous critic of Jews, Pat Buchanan for president. She supports creationism which many Jews are a little uneasy about (source 1) (source 2) and her pastor a supporter of "Jews for Jesus" said this while Palin sat in the pews:

Palin's pastor, Larry Kroon, introduced Brickner on Aug. 17, according to a transcript of the sermon on the church's website. "He's a leader of Jews for Jesus, a ministry that is out on the leading edge in a pressing, demanding area of witnessing and evangelism," Kroon said.

Brickner then explained that Jesus and his disciples were themselves Jewish.

"The Jewish community, in particular, has a difficult time understanding this reality," he said.
Brickner's mission has drawn wide criticism from the organized Jewish community, and the Anti-Defamation League accused them in a report of "targeting Jews for conversion with subterfuge and deception."

Brickner also described terrorist attacks on Israelis as God's "judgment of unbelief" of Jews who haven't embraced Christianity. The executive director of the National Jewish Democratic Council, Ira Forman, cited the "cultural distance" between Palin and almost all American Jews.


"She's totally out of step with the American Jewish community," he said.

TPJ: Yet she hasn't been pressured to renounce this pastor as Obama did Jeremiah Wright. It was right for Obama to leave his church and denounce Wright and so should it be for Palin and her pastor.

If she actually disagrees with his radical views on Jews.



Obama's Rabbi:

Turns out that a member of the Obama clan is a rabbi. Rabbi Capers C. Funnye Jr., who heads a predominantly black congregation in Chicago, is a cousin of Michelle Obama, Mr. Obama's wife. Rabbi Funnye is the son of Verdelle Robinson Funnye, the sister of Mrs. Obama's grandfather, Frasier Robinson Jr. As the first black member of the Chicago Board of Rabbis and many mainstream Jewish organizations, Rabbi Funnye is well known in Chicago, primarily for his efforts to build bridges across racial and religious divides.

TPJ: I think it is so wonderful that the Obama extended family is so diverse, they are like a microcosm of America itself! (yay!)

And yes I realize as do most people that having a Rabbi in the family doesn't automatically mean in and of itself that he's a champion of Jews. However, it does show that he has a personal connection to the Jewish community and likely an understanding of the religion and its views from relating to Michelle's cousin that most politicians and people don't have.

WASHINGTON – More than 300 rabbis from all streams of Judaism signed a document expressing their support for Democratic candidate Barack Obama for president of the United States.

The initiative was launched in Senator Obama's home state of Illinois, with hundreds of rabbis adding their names to the proclamation of support.


The struggle for the Jewish voice is crucial to the Obama campaign, as it is to Republican rival John McCain - particularly in swing states like Pennsylvania and Florida, which both have large Jewish communities.

Despite the early Obama backlash, 80% of the Jews who intend on keeping with their traditional voting pattern (i.e. - staunchly Democrat), now say they back Obama.

However, the Democratic candidate has been suffering in southern Florida, where the older Jewish community tends to lean to the right in regards to their support for Israel and the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Thus, the Obama headquarters decided to send Senator Hillary Clinton to the problem state in order to redirect support to her previous rival.

In their expression of support, the rabbis also noted that they are aware of the mud slinging campaign against Obama which in essence began within the Jewish community.

"We feel it is our duty as Jewish leaders to fight for the truth and against Lashon Hara (slander). Senator Obama has been viciously attacked using innuendoes, rumors, and guilt by association, and we urge our fellow American Jews to judge Senator Obama based on his own record and the clear statements he has made about his personal beliefs and principles," they wrote.

The rabbis set up a special internet site to explain their agenda and encourage others to hop on the bandwagon.

"Three hundred rabbis is just the beginning of the campaign," said a source in the Jewish community. There are currently an estimated 5,000 rabbis active in the United States.

Obama is that enemy. Thus, the “lies” spoken of against Obama are Truths and not “false witness” (slander).

Furthermore, Obama and his Jewish allies are in ENMITY against God and Christ, and are thus a “DEN OF VIPERS AND SERPENTS” being the “Children of the Devil”, who Christ says is their father.

Exactly. I can understand if a Christian will not vote at all. I cannot understand one voting for Obama. They are a den of vipers and their father is The Serpent.

It is not Lashon Hara to question a man who could potentially be holding the most powerful position in the WORLD.

It is the right and duty for every American to question the backround and the associations of this man which can indicate what his real beliefs and intentions are.

And the African man in Obamas WIFES family who "claims" to be Jewish is not a blood relative of Obama.

However...you can prove that Obama has blood relatives that are deep into Islam.

It is my Christian and American duty to question Obama and I do believe he is being less than truthful. Why not start with a great big tale that Obama has told to the people? He claims Christianity as his own and yet has the audasity to say, "I believe there are many paths to the same place." He is totally right if one wants to go to hell but he is totally wrong to say this to a gullible people, only one way to Heaven and that is through Jesus Christ.

There are records that have Obama as a member of Trinity United Church of Christ for 20 years and yet there are no visable records of his baptism. In TUCOC it is mandatory that there members get baptised.

As American we have every right to question Obama and his motives. Having a President that lies to the people with a smile on, lost us face with other nations before....and I don't think that we can survive another bout with a president that lies.

Another point to ponder? Islam permits lying if it further the cause of Islam. Heck Islam also allows you to turn your back on allah if you can further this fanatical religion. Whereas Christianity does not permit Christians to intentionally lie to further religions since Christianity is all about having a relationship with Christ. And Christianity most certainly doesn't allow us to betray Jesus, since Christ never turned his back on us, and was willing to die for us, we are to remain loyal to our friend in the end.

Voice, why do you support this man? He goes against every grain of Christianity. Obama goes against everything that Christ stood for.

Published: October 7, 2008 It is a sorry fact of American political life that campaigns get ugly, often in their final weeks. But Senator John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin have been running one of the most appalling campaigns we can remember.

They have gone far beyond the usual fare of quotes taken out of context and distortions of an opponent's record — into the dark territory of race-baiting and xenophobia. Senator Barack Obama has taken some cheap shots at Mr. McCain, but there is no comparison. if (acm.rc) acm.rc.write(); Despite the occasional slip (referring to Mr. Obama's "cronies" and calling him "that one"), Mr. McCain tried to take a higher road in Tuesday night's presidential debate. It was hard to keep track of the number of times he referred to his audience as "my friends." But apart from promising to buy up troubled mortgages as president, he offered no real answers for how he plans to solve the country's deep economic crisis. He is unable or unwilling to admit that the Republican assault on regulation was to blame.

Ninety minutes of forced cordiality did not erase the dismal ugliness of his campaign in recent weeks, nor did it leave us with much hope that he would not just return to the same dismal ugliness on Wednesday.

Ms. Palin, in particular, revels in the attack. Her campaign rallies have become spectacles of anger and insult. "This is not a man who sees America as you see it and how I see America," Ms. Palin has taken to saying.

That line follows passages in Ms. Palin's new stump speech in which she twists Mr. Obama's ill-advised but fleeting and long-past association with William Ayers, founder of the Weather Underground and confessed bomber. By the time she's done, she implies that Mr. Obama is right now a close friend of Mr. Ayers — and sympathetic to the violent overthrow of the government. The Democrat, she says, "sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Her demagoguery has elicited some frightening, intolerable responses. A recent Washington Post report said at a rally in Florida this week a man yelled "kill him!" as Ms. Palin delivered that line and others shouted epithets at an African-American member of a TV crew.

Mr. McCain's aides haven't even tried to hide their cynical tactics, saying they were "going negative" in hopes of shifting attention away from the financial crisis — and by implication Mr. McCain's stumbling response.

We certainly expected better from Mr. McCain, who once showed withering contempt for win-at-any-cost politics. He was driven out of the 2000 Republican primaries by this sort of smear, orchestrated by some of the same people who are now running his campaign.

And the tactic of guilt by association is perplexing, since Mr. McCain has his own list of political associates he would rather forget. We were disappointed to see the Obama campaign air an ad (held for just this occasion) reminding voters of Mr. McCain's involvement in the Keating Five savings-and-loan debacle, for which he was reprimanded by the Senate. That episode at least bears on Mr. McCain's claims to be the morally pure candidate and his argument that he alone is capable of doing away with greed, fraud and abuse.

In a way, we should not be surprised that Mr. McCain has stooped so low, since the debate showed once again that he has little else to talk about. He long ago abandoned his signature issues of immigration reform and global warming; his talk of "victory" in Iraq has little to offer a war-weary nation; and his Reagan-inspired ideology of starving government and shredding regulation lies in tatters on Wall Street.

But surely, Mr. McCain and his team can come up with a better answer to that problem than inciting more division, anger and hatred.

Barack Obama accuses Republicans of distracting voters from the economy

John McCain wants to 'distract you with smears rather than talk to you about substance,' the Democrat says in Asheville, N.C., a day after Sarah Palin claims Obama would 'pal around with terrorists.'
ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- One day after John McCain's running mate escalated the vitriol of the presidential campaign by invoking a 1960s radical, Barack Obama accused Republicans of trying to distract voters from the sagging economy with "smears"

Speaking to thousands of voters Sunday afternoon at Asheville High School, the Democratic nominee argued that McCain shares President Bush's economic philosophy.

"Sen. McCain and his operatives are gambling that they can distract you with smears rather than talk to you about substance," Obama said. "They'd rather try to tear our campaign down than lift this country up. That's what you do when you're out of touch, out of ideas and running out of time."

The dust-up comes as Obama's poll numbers have risen in recent weeks, even in some traditionally Republican states, as Wall Street's woes dominate the news. According to several polls, more voters see Obama as better able to handle the economy than McCain.

Last week, senior McCain advisor Greg Strimple telegraphed the strategy, telling reporters that the campaign would be aggressive during the final 30 days before the election. He said they would be "looking to turning the page on this financial crisis and getting back to discussing Mr. Obama's liberal, aggressively liberal, record and how he will be too risky for the Americans."

The new strategy was evident this weekend when Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said Obama is "palling around with terrorists who would target their own country." Campaigning in California, Texas and Nebraska, the Alaska governor said she was referring to Obama's acquaintance with William Ayers, who helped found the radical Weather Underground in the 1960s. The group planned a series of bombings targeting the Capitol and the Pentagon. Ayers acknowledged involvement in bombings but was not convicted of terrorist acts.

Obama, who was born in 1961, has denounced Ayers' conduct and has pointed out that he was a child during Ayers' radical years. He and Ayers met decades later, when they were working on education issues in Chicago. Ayers, now an education professor, hosted a coffee for Obama in the mid-1990s.

Palin noted that the New York Times had written about the Ayers-Obama link. The article concluded, however, that the men were not close.

In North Carolina, Obama warned that his opponents wanted to change the subject.

"His campaign has announced that they plan to, and I quote, turn the page on the discussion about our economy and spend the final weeks of this campaign launching Swift Boat-style attacks on me," he said, referring to a group known as the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. In 2004, the group attacked Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry's war record, to devastating effect.

"The American people are too smart for that," Obama said Sunday. "On Nov. 4 you and I are going to turn the page, not on talking about the economy; we're going to the turn the page on the disastrous economic policies of George W. Bush and John McCain."

The Illinois senator is pushing hard for this state's 15 electoral votes, which Bush won by 12 percentage points in 2004.

Obama, who defeated New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in the state's primary, has campaigned here five times since the Democratic convention. His wife, Michelle, will be here Tuesday.

McCain had dominated North Carolina polls, but in the last few weeks, Obama has been gaining. An average of recent surveys by Pollster.com showed McCain ahead by about 1 percentage point -- within the margin of error.

Obama arrived in this town Saturday night to prepare for his debate with McCain in Nashville on Tuesday night.

McCain spent Sunday preparing for the debate in Sedona, Ariz., near his family retreat. He had no public events.

As for Ayers, the McCain campaign argues that Obama's acquaintance with him is fair game, because it raises questions about Obama's judgment. And they used the discussion to draw attention to the Democrat's relationship with Antoin "Tony" Rezko, his former fundraiser who was convicted in June of federal corruption charges.

"The last four weeks of this election will be about whether the American people are willing to turn our economy and national security over to Barack Obama, a man with little record, questionable judgment, and ties to radical figures like unrepentant domestic terrorist William Ayers," McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said in a statement Sunday.

Meantime, the Obama campaign launched the last of four ads criticizing McCain's healthcare plan, which will run in battleground states starting today. And late Sunday, the Associated Press reported, Obama invoked a specter of his own: Charles Keating, owner of the defunct thrift Lincoln Savings & Loan and a former McCain donor. The campaign said it would e-mail supporters a video detailing McCain's ties to Keating, whose thrift collapse in the 1980s cost taxpayers $2.6 billion.

And the Republican National Committee announced that it would file a complaint with the Federal Election Commission alleging that Obama had violated campaign-finance laws by accepting donations from foreigners and allowing donors to give more than the $2,300-per-person limit.

Obama has shattered fundraising records, raising more than $450 million, with more than half the donations in increments of less than $200.

Bill Burton, Obama's spokesman, said the campaign has "gone above and beyond" disclosure requirements.

"We constantly review our donors for any issues," Burton said. "And while no organization is completely protected from Internet fraud, we will continue to review our fundraising procedures to ensure that we are taking every available to step to root out improper contributions."

I am glad that the matter will be concluded shortly. It will be interesting in the extreme to see how all this plays out into the future, given the stakes are so large. Larger than life it seems. Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that that he is not a radical [Huh? Is this supposed to somehow mean that Christian Democrats are considered "radical"?].

Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, [Dude, his parents divorced when he was 2 -- what kind of "introduction" is this email talking about?! Wait. Don't tell me. The fake kind that they're lying about] and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education. Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta. [This particular lie has been debunked so many times -- including by CNN -- it's ridiculous that some people even still buy into the baloney. Notice how earlier the fallacy-based email stated it was simply a "MUSLIM" school. Now that's changed. My hat goes off to you...choosing the Los Angeles Times a paper with more conservative views. There again this article basically said Obama say's this...democrat's say that. I find it really funny that in talking about lies told about Obama in that article in the Los Angeles times you can read the words of the Chior boy (Obama) smearing the name of McCain. The Republican presidential candidate's chief strategist has shaken up his campaign with an approach that has left many heads spinning.By Dan Morain and Bob Drogin

In the wild ride that is the McCain presidential campaign, Steve Schmidt has been at the wheel, steering -- some say careering -- from Paris Hilton to Sarah Palin, from abrupt "suspension" to abrupt restart.

Schmidt is McCain's day-to-day operations boss.

Retained in a summer shake-up intended to right McCain's faltering campaign, Schmidt, 38, quickly put his stamp on the operation, aggressively attacking Democratic nominee Barack Obama, often with biting ridicule, and vying to dominate every day's news cycle.

It's an approach that would be familiar to Californians. Schmidt managed Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's reelection campaign two years ago.

But pundits and Republicans have been left confused, particularly after McCain, in a head-spinning 72-hour period, canceled campaign appearances to work on the Wall Street bailout plan, tried to postpone the first presidential debate, and then showed up after all.

Schmidt tends to shrug off the criticism. When two high-profile Republicans, unaware their microphones were hot, disparaged Palin, the governor of Alaska and McCain's running mate, on national cable television last month, Schmidt offered a two-word reaction: "Who cares?"

For a time, Schmidt's tactics seemed to work. Team McCain was practicing a political jujitsu that kept the Republican close in polls when the Democratic standard-bearer, given George Bush's unpopularity, should have had a significant lead.

The effort peaked with the choice of Palin as McCain's running mate. Convinced that McCain needed a dramatic gesture to make the race competitive, Schmidt pressed McCain to pluck the Alaska governor from obscurity.

Other than the candidates, no one in the operation has more riding on that decision than Schmidt. And no one has worked harder to turn the decision into a success.

He defended Palin against what he called sexist attacks, and traveled to Alaska to brief her before her first TV interviews. For three days, he was ensconced at McCain's spread in Sedona, Ariz., helping Palin prepare for her performance on the biggest night of her career: the debate against Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden.

But a month from election day, Schmidt faces his most difficult professional challenge. McCain has dropped in polls as Washington struggled to find a solution to a reeling Wall Street. Polls show voters trust Obama more than McCain to fix the economy.

"He could run the greatest campaign in the history of campaigns and still lose by a landslide," said consultant Chris Lehane, a California Democrat who has worked with Schmidt on several projects for corporate clients. "Given the current political environment, the Democrats could nominate a refrigerator and still win."

Schmidt -- 6 feet tall, 220 pounds, his head shaved -- is fully aware that his presence can be intimidating. No less a figure than Bush strategist Karl Rove bestowed on Schmidt the nickname "Bullet," though he and Rove dismiss accounts that he is a Rove protege.

"He has worked very hard to construct this public persona because it serves him," said Dan Schnur, a former McCain advisor who directs the Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics at USC. "A few soft, quiet few syllables from Steve Schmidt can be more terrifying than screaming from someone else."

Earlier this year, Schmidt paused from a conversation in his office in Arlington, Va., and turned up the volume on CNN. Obama was delivering his speech to 200,000 people in Berlin, and Schmidt winced, acknowledging that Obama is a very polished speaker.

A map of the United States on the wall over Schmidt's shoulder served as a low-tech tracking system. A photo of McCain was pinned to Ohio, showing the candidate was in the state that could decide the election. Schmidt saw McCain's appearance at a German restaurant as far more valuable than the international acclaim showered on Obama's turn on a German stage.

Soon after, McCain employed the classic tactic of turning his foe's strength -- his oratory skills and popularity -- against him. Schmidt took a direct hand in the ads that ridiculed Obama by likening his celebrity to Paris Hilton's.

"We had been discussing the necessity of digging underneath the Obama facade," said Bill Kenyon, a partner in the firm Strategic Perception, which produces McCain's commercials. "The celebrity thing is something that he suggested."

Under Schmidt, the campaign is a tightly run operation. Previously, McCain allowed reporters almost unfettered access. Under Schmidt, the candidate went 40 days without a news conference.

Schmidt's hard-nosed determination to control the slightest detail is irksome to some members of McCain's staff. One senior aide referred to Schmidt as "message Nazi."

There is, however, another side to Schmidt.

On the day after Palin addressed the GOP convention in a speech that energized the party's religious conservatives, Schmidt showed up at a Log Cabin Republicans event and matter-of-factly told gay Republicans that they were "important to the fabric of this party" and that his sister and her partner were an important part of his life. "I encourage you to keep fighting for what you believe, because the day is going to come," he said.

Patrick Sammon, the group's president, said, "I don't think anyone could imagine Karl Rove going to a Log Cabin event."

The Log Cabin appearance aside, Schmidt's pedigree is enough to give chills to Democrats in California, a blue state. In 1998, looking to make his mark as a consultant, the green 27-year-old made his way to California from New Jersey. He was recruited to run Tim Leslie's race for lieutenant governor and later Matt Fong's U.S. Senate bid.

"Pragmatic politics," Leslie said, describing Schmidt's philosophy. "His major concern is how you win the election. If there were two candidates and one was more conservative, I really couldn't tell you which he would choose."

Leslie and Fong lost in the Democratic landslide a decade ago. Schmidt headed East, where he rose in GOP circles. He became Vice President Dick Cheney's spokesman, and oversaw President Bush's 2004 reelection "war room" -- the cadre of operatives responsible for attacking Massachusetts Sen. John F. Kerry and responding to any charges against Bush.

Schmidt then was entrusted with managing the Senate confirmation of John G. Roberts Jr. as chief justice in 2005, and Samuel A. Alito Jr. as associate justice in 2006.

With such credentials, it might seem odd that Schmidt found his way back to California. California First Lady Maria Shriver, niece of President Kennedy and one of Obama's more prominent backers, set out to find the ideal campaign manager for Arnold Schwarzenegger's reelection. Several friends recommended Schmidt.

After Schwarzenegger won what turned out to be an easy reelection, Schmidt set up the Sacramento branch of Mercury Public Affairs, a New York-based lobbying, consulting and public affairs firm. He has said he has no intention of returning East.

The office is a few blocks from the Capitol, next to a tattoo parlor. A few vanity items on his office walls recount wins from his White House days.

One is a Senate roll-call card tallying the 78-22 vote to confirm Roberts. A second tally sheet shows the 48-42 vote for Alito. On one of the cards, Cheney scribbled: "Steve, You do great work. 2 for 2 on the Supreme Court. Dick"

A third keepsake, inscribed a few days after Bush's reelection, reads: "Steve, I meant what I said Thursday. Victory would have been impossible without you. Best, Karl."

What McCain might write after election day has yet to be determined.

Pray, Vote, Pray

There is so much at stake in the November 4th Elections that it has become incumbent upon me to share some perspective -- especially with those of you who have spiritual eyes and ears, and understand what is at stake.

Anyway..... Good Morning all you bright-eyed and bushy-tailed folks!

The French Press is full and ready to pour, and the Expresso Machine is brewing. If you're ready for the best cup of coffee you've had in a long time (maybe ever?) stop in and join me.

It may already be obvious to most of you (if not all) that I am a Conservative when it comes to political philosophy. On second thought, let's be clearer. I am a Constitutional Conservative. For those of you Coffee Break readers in other nations, a "Constitutional Conservative" is simply someone who believes that our nation's founding fathers established a Constitution they intended as an anchor for this nation's future.

Our Constitution is not simply a "living document" subject to change according to the mores of future generations. It is not simply the thoughts of our forefathers set on paper as a general guide to our nation's behavior and conduct among its citizens, as well as our stance toward the world at large.

The Constitution of the United States came into being over a span of several decades, being formed in and with the blood of American Patriots who believed America was a unique nation whose creation would serve as a model for freedom-loving, God-fearing and God-loving people the world over.

As I noted in the rather lengthy Coffee Break series, THE AMERICAN COVENANT, our forefathers had a vision for a nation where the Gospel of Jesus Christ would be freely preached, where people in all walks of life (including those serving in government) would have the liberty to share their faith in Jesus Christ without restraint.

Despite the rulings of several Supreme Courts where liberal, left-wing justices have attempted to diminish liberties of Christians under the guise of "separation of church and state" -- a phrase which appears nowhere in our Constitution -- Americans have for more than 230 years enjoyed the freedom to worship and to express their faith in God and in the Lord Jesus Christ as no other nation on earth.

Within the past few years, however, Christians have seen encroachments on their freedoms, their liberties and their freedom of speech such as would absolutely horrify our founding fathers. The efforts of atheists and God-haters have been the continual drum-beat of a march against righteousness and holiness. There has been a collaborative and combined effort to liberalize (in the worst sense of the word) standards of behavior that have stood the test of time for centuries and millennia.

Homosexuals have sought to "normalize" aberrant behavior and force an acceptance of their abominations on the 97 percent of society which lives heterosexually. Worse, they've gained the support of left-wing politicians and leaders in getting cities and states to pass laws allowing homosexuals and lesbians to "marry." And it hasn't stopped there.

California now has a law on the books making it a crime to speak out against this deviant behavior, and efforts are underway in at least two states to criminalize preachers and church-leaders who use clearly-defined Biblical texts to define homosexual behavior as sin. Efforts are underway in Congress to define as "hate-speech" and "hate-crimes" commentary and actions which prohibit special favors or recognition for the so-called "gay" community. Some are even trying to compel churches to hire people who live homosexual or lesbian lifestyles as teachers and/or youth leaders.

The Internal Revenue Service has been being pushed to rescind the tax-exempt status of churches and religious organizations who speak their minds and convictions concerning the stances of various political candidates. Major news organizations have reported in the past few days that a group of 33 pastors have decided to make the IRS's effort a federal case and push it to the Supreme Court. The pastors have decided to defy the regulations denying them their right of free speech and speak out against certain candidates who support the wholesale of murder of unborn babies through various abortion procedures. Some of them have taken very public stances against laws promoting or advancing extra rights and privileges for homosexuals and lesbians. This is a growing movement. More and more Christians have decided to stand up and be counted -- no matter the cost -- and resist this demonic tide in the U.S.

Less than four weeks from now, we will be going to the polls to select a new President, Vice-President, 435 members of Congress and 30-odd Senators. Never has there been a more critical time for Christians to get out and vote. Never has there been a more opportune time for believers to shape the coming years of our nation. A recent Gallup survey suggests that 57% of U. S. citizens consider themselves "evangelical, born-again" Christians. More than 75% of Americans quickly call themselves "Christian."

We are the majority, folks! Christians -- born-again believers in Christ Jesus -- easily make up a majority of all voters in America. For us not to bring in righteous change in this electoral cycle will be to abdicate our responsibility as the body of Christ.

Yet far too many Christians are being sucked into the mantra of "change" by the left, either because they are sick of the Iraq War and just want to see it over, or because their standard of living has been impacted by the economic meltdown, or because the MSM has done such a thorough job of repeating lies about the current White House Administration and blaming it for all of America's ills, declaring that "change" -- any change (!) -- "is better than what we've had."

I'm the first to admit that the current administration has made some wonderful boo-boos, not the least of which is their "Road Map to Peace" in the Middle East. Land for peace is a farce. A "Two-State Solution," at least under the proposed concept, is nothing more and nothing less than an invitation to World War III and a holocaust that will make Hitler's "Final Solution" look like child's play.

Selling Israel down the river and compelling them to give away half of Jerusalem and a third or more of their rightful land in order to have a co-existent "peaceful" neighbor in Palestine is the "Road Map to America's Destruction." As my childhood hero, Winston Churchill, was wont to say, "Peace at any price is no peace at all."

Are you getting the picture, folks?

Let me share with you a few news items you may not be aware of.

One of President Bush's advisors (and I'm trying to find his name) discovered (or was advised of) a direct correlation between a series of 50 natural and man-made disasters or catastrophes spanning the past several years, and adverse decisions by the White House (including past administrations) towards Israel, its defense, attempts to negotiate peace between Israel and the Palestinians, and efforts to compel Israel to give away its land in order to secure peace.

Two days prior to Hurricane Ike striking the Gulf Coast, President Bush denied a request from Israel for 1,000 bunker-busting bombs. Whether those bombs were intended for a potential air strike against Iran's nuclear facilities or for missile silos currently being built in the hills of southern Lebanon just across the border from Israel is unclear. The fact is that the President denied Israel's request under the pretext that it could inflame tensions between the Palestinians and Israel even more.

Just as Hurricane Ike struck the coast, one of President Bush's advisors went to him and showed him a direct correlation between just the previous three disasters and adverse decisions he had made within 24-48 hours prior to each disaster. As Ike was coming ashore, President Bush received the warning and reversed himself, notifying the Israeli government that the U.S. would sell them the bunker-busting bombs. He also reversed an earlier decision denying them an advanced radar-warning system capable of detecting something as small as a basketball being launched up to 2900 miles away, agreeing instead to sell Israel that defense capability.

My personal sense is that the damage from Ike was mitigated as a direct byproduct of his decision. It could have been another Katrina (which, by the way, also came directly on the heels of an adverse decision by the White House towards Israel) with a huge loss of life. Though the damage from Ike was still considerable, the loss of life was greatly diminished.

Here's another news item.

Thanks to a piece from Jim Bramlett (former VP of CBN and longtime brother in the Lord) I contacted Washington-based Dr. Flo Ellers, who travels in evangelistic and prophetic ministry. Flo was present in a Portland home-meeting in August where Bree Keyton (a Kansas City-based evangelist) was sharing shortly after Bree returned from Mombassa, Kenya. Flo provided me with a recording of the gathering in which Bree shared how she had been in the Obama household in Kenya, and Bree subsequently pointed me to some videos of her sharing.

Barack Obama was born in Mombassa, (there is reportedly a record and registry of his birth in Mombassa) and an incantation spoken over him (and his cousin, Odinga) by the local witches and warlocks declared that he and his cousin would both become the leaders of their nations. (Odinga has been fighting against Kenya's current Christian president and seeking the presidency for himself. Bree says -- and local elders attest to it -- he has made a pact with Satan.)

Obama's record of birth is currently being contested in Federal District Court in Philadelphia (John Christian Dyer, October 3, 2008, www.NewswithViews.com), and Federal Judge R. Barclay Surrick, who has ordered Obama to produce a "vault copy" of his birth certificate. That's not the primary issue, however, where we're calling for prayer. As Bree Keyton visited the homes of the elders in Mombassa, they told her the witches, warlocks and Satan-worshipers arise every morning at 3:00 AM to pronounce curses against John McCain and Sarah Palin so that Barack Obama will be elected.

They also told Bree that in January of this year, Obama visited his tribe and home. He went to every elder's home where they have a shrine to worship their "genie" and asked them for their blessing on his presidential campaign. Barack Obama's grandmother sacrificed a black and white chicken to the "goddess of the river" so both blacks and whites would love him and vote for him.

Finally, Bree Keyton said that those who practice their occult chants and spells regularly "weave lazy 8's" around McCain's mind in order to bring confusion to him as he travels about and campaigns.

If you haven't gotten the message before, you should by now! People, it's time for believers in Jesus Christ to exercise the spiritual authority they have in prayer and intercession! It's time for the sons of God to stand up and be counted!

The fate of America hangs in the balance with this election as never before. We have the authority in the realm of the Spirit to ensure that our electoral process is not manipulated by evil spirits and an outcome determined by ruling demonic spirits (principalities: Ephesians 6).

As the apostle Paul wrote, "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:9-11)

It IS at the name of Jesus -- the onoma: the character, the power, the authority, the very essence of who Jesus is -- that these wicked spirits MUST bow; and WE must exercise that name above the names of these wicked spirits.

In our next Coffee Break, I'll share with you some personal experiences in the realm of spiritual warfare and the results of taking specific authority over curses.

Proverbs 26:2 tells us that, "As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come."

The point of this Word is that a curse can be caused by inaction on the part of God's people. There is absolutely NOTHING in God's economy that is automatic. Every Word, every promise, every piece of the Covenant to which we are entitled requires our participation. We must agree with the Word. We must command God's Word. It is an absolute necessity for it to come out of our mouths for it to be activated. If we stand by idly and just "let" things happen, we are as guilty as those who initiate evil.

The Scripture tells us that both Father and Son have done all they are going to do. Hebrews 10:12-13 tell us, "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; >From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool."

We're the ones who accomplish that! If we don't do the commanding, nothing is going to get done. If we don't take the authority given us by and through Jesus Christ with His anointing, the enemy literally gets away with murder. If we don't defeat the trickery, the deception, the lies and the treachery of Satan, he just goes on with his routine day after day after day after day. It is up to us to stop him.

It is up to us to stop the curses coming against John McCain and Sarah Palin. We simply cannot stand by and allow these demonic efforts to succeed. The point is that Satan is an absolute pipsqueak whose power is so far beneath that of believing Christians there is just no comparison.

Will you help me do that between now and November 4th?

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We have been instructed to pray, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven." We are the implementers of His Will on earth, and unless we implement it in prayer, in intercession, and by putting feet to our prayers by voting on election day, we're not much good as representatives of His Kingdom.

That said, make sure you pray. Then vote in accordance with the Word of God. Then keep on praying!

Of course there are Christian's in all of the church folds! (GOOD ONES!) But for these ones who think that today is about time the Lord comes, and that the Broadway ones are not the many church folds of Rev. 17:5 which are the trouble, is indeed blindness! (was that caught??) Read it again.

USA is in trouble, as well as her many church's that [will ellect] their president! So the REAL SPIRITUAL question arises...

Does God hear all prayers? As with the Everlasting Gospel & Everlasting Covenant, PRAYER from us, to God is likewise conditional! Notice Matthew 4:6 for a quoted promise from satan to Christ Himself! And the condition to be met? You find it.

And these inspired of the Holy Ghost verses??
"Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear." Isaiah 59:1-2

One might define what sin is in 1 John 3:4 to see if they are guilty of knowingly & 'presumptuously sinning? See Psalms 19:13 & also James 2:8-12? Sin is the breaking of the Everlasting Covenant of the Godhead!

One might read John 9:39-41 for who has sin? Also Luke 12:47-48.
But in the previous verse 31 this ex/blind 'physical' man was seen preaching his first sermon perhaps?? Notice:

"Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, [and doeth His will], him God heareth." Christ must have all of our will! Again: understand what that means! See 1 John 5:16-17.

Notice the verses! (of just a few) If one understood the earthly sanctuary service they could understand much of Paul's writings. But, see if you can catch the key Words in all of these verses? Check this one:

"If I [regard] iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." Psalms 66:18 (Lord, I am going to bring my fruit sacrifice! Gen. 4:7-you know, like sun for Your 7th day requirement)

Bottom line: "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, [to him it is sin.]" James 4:17 When & 'if' James 1:15 & 1 John 5:16-17 become FULLY MATURED it bringeth forth eternal death. Obadiah 1:16.

How many professed ones are to be saved? see Matt. 7:13-27 & Revelation 17:5. So, USA is off the Straight & Narrow PATH!

Here is what I feel about is it ever right for the Christians to lie.
Yes, but I need to explain what I mean. Scripture forbids llying Exodus 20:16. Lying is viewed as a sin and is an abomination to God Proverbs 12:22. I can go on with scripture telling us about lying.
Now there are scriptures which indeicate that under certain circimstances lying is not condemned. Hebrew midwives were commanded by the Pharaoh to let newborn baby boys die, the nidwives disobeyed the Pharaoh and lied to him when questioned about it Exodus 1:15-19 To the Hebrew midwives lifesaving was higher on the scale than truthtelling. God not only did not condemn the midwives for lying he was kind to them for their merciful act. Read verse 20

Obama may profess Christianity with his lips but he doesn't understand the concepts of Christianity. For instance Obama states; &
