It is nice to know that there are fellow believers in these companies who are coming together to pray about the situation. May God give them the wisdom to make the market stable and better.

Instead of cursing and talking about all the bad.... believers should be looking for a solution. And prayer is a good way to start. Not dredging up all the negative.

Wall Street Turns To Prayer in Midst of Financial CrisisTeresa Neumann (September 30, 2008)"We should not be intimidated by the magnitude of the darkness of the times, but should realize how quickly the light stands out in all that darkness." (New York, N.Y.)—Christian Today has reported that the turmoil in New York's financial markets has triggered a spiritual response among Christian leaders as cell phone text messages quickly spread calls to prayer, and Christians on Wall Street set up special prayer meetings for the week. The report also said "extraordinary prayer meetings were scheduled at Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, and elsewhere, and pastors began planning to gather for sidewalk prayer meetings outside of the stock exchange." Mike Faulkner, pastor of New Horizon Church, said, "Honestly, I am praying God will bring healing and revival. The church should be available in every way for people on Wall Street who maybe didn't think much about God before. One should be comforted that righteousness will prevail." One chief operating officer was quoted as saying that maybe Christian faith can stand out as a light of compassion and truth. "We should not be intimidated by the magnitude of the darkness of the times, but should realize how quickly the light stands out in all that darkness." Lord lead their thoughts and the process that will bring the utmost glory to YOUR name Heavenly Father...

All it takes is one person in the passenger seat of the God-mobile to turn things around.

(i know pretty corny analogy..sorry)

Hi Burningfire....

It was a nice analogy though.

Chloé, do you believe there is money in Heaven?
happy2Bfree
I don't think there is. I don't see why there would be.

Do you know if there is?

I'm not sure why your asking that. If your thinking that it is silly that these men are praying and still being stock brokers....I think that is really sad.

Even a couple of the disciples...(or maybe it was just one of them) was a tax collector.

We live in the world system...even though we are not a part of it.

Why do you ask?

No. They won't be any sort of trade. They won't be markets or lands or tax and nothing. Just pure Joy.

If this isn't the "falling away of the church", then my name is SpongeBob.

Christians are totally cluesless of how they have been deceived... this is prayer amiss.

The one thing that God asks us to do when we are in trouble or in need....is to pray.

But notice.....you focus on all the occultic themes and conspiracy theories...and shun the one thing that we are supposed to do.

Thank goodness that there are true watchmen who are praying for this nation...and not just peacefully handing it over to the devil.

This is what you would do.

Nobody is wanting the greed to stay...but for wisdom and for help in this time of need in our country.

We need Godly wisdom and Godly leaders. And we need Christians on Wallstreet. Perhaps if we had more of them....this kind of thing would not happen.

Boy, are you delusional. I agree wholeheartedly with Selah: "Yay! One dollar saved!! I'm sorry there is nothing wonderful about men casting dust on their heads and weeping over Babylon, I mean Wall Street.

We pray THY KINGDOM COME not this kingdom stay."

It is GREED and LACK OF WISDOM by Americans who turned to the god Mammon that created this mess in the Wall Street Temples of Doom. Get a clue.

People took out mortgage Refi's on their homes... and, like possessed shopping-mongers, they spent and wasted the money on MATERIALISM... property values went up increasing the value of their homes... they took out yet another mortgage Refi on their homes... then flagrantly threw the money away on more MATERIALISTIC JUNK to feed their insatiable and gluttonous appetite for THINGS and THEIR IDOLS OF WORSHIP... their property values increased even further... and people began taking out 3rd Refi's on their homes... and again they took the money and wasted it all away on more CRAP. Then, SURPRISE! The BUBBLE BROKE! They were left penniless and could not afford to pay their skyrocketing adjustable rates and had NO SAVINGS due to their GREED.

And you, Chloe, sit there as this "High Priestess of Mammon" encouraging people to pray for this RECKLESS BEHAVIOR, to have God restore it, to restore the Wall Street Temples and Sanctuaries unto the god Mammon, to restore the IDOLATRY AND THE GREEDY GLUTTONY. And, you do this quoting Bible Scriptures. You're a DELUSIONAL HYPOCRITE!

God will not restore this SIN OF GREED, GLUTTONY AND IDOLATRY against Christ and the Kingdom of God.

Get a clue.

Hi Chlo'e!! Blessings in Yahshua's Name~
Yes I totally agree that we should pray when we're in trouble and in need. But but but...praying over the "almighty dollar" is not according to God's will. I realised even my prayers were a little in vain and so I thought; How would He have me pray? And the disciples asked the same question!

So we pray "Our Father who art in Heaven, thy kingdom come thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven..."

Well if you think about that, that we're asking for 'His' will to be done here just like it is in heaven, then we should surely know that in heaven everything is FREE!! Yay! So if this monetary system is in crisis, then wouldn't it be an answer to our prayers?? This kingdom must fall and it will fall and become the kingdom of our God! It's tough getting through the transition, but as believers, that's why we hang on tight to the Gospel of the good news, to get us through this passing kingdom and the tribulations and into the physical manifestation of the Kingdom of God. It starts within us and grows and grows and the more He increases in us the more we decrease in this world, until finally...

He's here!

Read the scripture that talks about taking the plank out of your own eye before trying to take the sliver out of your brothers eye.

I encourage anyone to pray for our country. I'm not willing to hand it over to satan or those in Islam.

God instructs us to pray for our leaders. He wants us to pray for our nation.

THAT is what these people on Wallstreet are doing. Praise God for it!

Do you know what...? Believing in the power of crystals to heal or bless you in some way is very new age.
As I said...take the plank out of your own eye.

Do you think your spotless?

Many times... the ones that are shouting the loudest about sin...have it much of it in their own life.

Again....you love LOVE to be involved in the occultic themes and conspiracy theories. Non of which show faith in God...but the opposit.

Well Chloe' it's all about repentance. And I didn't see any of that within the article. Repentance is foresaking your way's, for example:walking out of wallstreet forever and never turning back and praying for forgiveness. That would be something to Halleluyah about! But picture a giant golden buddah whose head falls off and men/women begin praying for it to be healed...same principle with money, different scenerio. We want people to be saved; not money or idols. And in fact money is an idol to those who worship it.

Here in Virginia a while back, a church gathered together and went to pray over the gas pumps. I was like ...speechless! What must this look like to our Father in Heaven???

Selah, I highly commend you on trying, but Chloe has a one-track mind. She just doesn't get it. It's called PRIDE.

happy2Bfree
Thats not true Seven. I understand what you both mean.

But this article was just about Christians on Wallstreet praying.

And I'm saying you both are jumping the gun and accusing them of praying for Babylon.

First....I don't think the United States is Babylon.

And I think they were praying over the trouble our economy is in, because they understand what this could do as it trickles down.
THE SEVEN THUNDERS

Yeah, you go ahead and believe that.
