So many people fail to realize that angels and humans are similar (very similar) ,,,,,not understanding this makes people doubt that angels can have sex with humans,,,,,I have brung scripture after scripture showing they can ,,,and here is another couple of passages that have been failed to be addressed......
Genesis 19:1 "And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground."

Washing angels feet ????? just another small hint to what a angel really is,,,,,,Lot envited these angels into his home,,,,I personally believe Lot was trying to give them a warning,,,,remember this is a filthy dangerous place these ANGELS are at.........This also shows how foolish Lot was, when he tried to protect one of God's angels; because each of God's angels can destroy any of mankind that would offer a threat to them.......

"Jesus replied, 'You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven."

I was missing some vital points. Nightmare, I couldn't understand where you were coming from; after-all scriptures plainly teaches us that angels do not marry nor presumably have sex. Then I re-read this passage and bam it hits me over the head and with shock I realize the key words to this passage I have not been reading carefully. "....they will be like the angels in heaven". But it is written that there are angels walking amongst us on earth, for it is written: " "Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it." So the word is clear and concise there are angels walking this earth. Now if we read 2 Peter 2: 4-6: "For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment, if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood in its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes and made them an example of what is going to happen to the undgodly..." In Jude 6-7: "And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home- these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal life." Now these passages clearly indicate that the sin of these angels was sexual in nature.
This study also becomes confusing when we look at parts of the book of Enoch (Book that was removed from the Christian bible in the 4th century), "Sons of God are angels that had sex with humans and they begat giants within the earth plane." Enoch 7th chapter.
PS to Looking up: Any sort of bible study with the brethren is good. Opening up the bible and praying for the Holy Spirits direction is a good thing. In order for us to bring others to salvation we must: 1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to come in us 2: As Christians we must try to mature in the faith (bible study), 3. We are to give an answer in and out of season for the hope that is within us. I understand that discussing the topic of sexual angels is not appealing for some, but it forces some of us to do some digging in the WORD. That's a good thing.

Nightmare is not trying to cause contention in the body of Christ, he seems to be trying for a sincere bible study on this topic. Just because some Christians do not like the topic of sex and angels does not mean that this study should not be done by those who are interested. Angels are mentioned many times in the OT and NT and so God must want us to gain some understanding of these Heavenly beings.
Can you please quote for me the contentious words that nightmare posted to bring division in the body of Christ? Chris, I agree with you in so many of your teachings but this post I do disagree with you about. Did nightmare post words (Unknown to me) to give one to think that he was causing division?
As for me I have always been interested in hearing if Christians think that Judas the betrayer of Christ went to heaven or hell. My arguments is that Judas was picked from the beginning of tiime to betray Christ. But this is also a hot topic that might cause some anger. But I still am honestly interested in scriptural verses concerning Judas and his salvation. But if I posted this thread some would claim that I am causing contention and division and to be a good little Christian girl and not make waves.

I personally have not done a study on this subject, so could you humor me? Could you offer some scriptual verses that will teach me that angels do not/can not, have sex? I am only a learner in this area and would ask our forum family to bring scriptual teachings to this thread. Thank-you.

In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal life." Now these passages clearly indicate that the sin of these angels was sexual in nature.

PS to Looking up: Any sort of bible study with the brethren is good. Opening up the bible and praying for the Holy Spirits direction is a good thing. In order for us to bring others to salvation we must: 1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to come in us 2: As Christians we must try to mature in the faith (bible study), 3. We are to give an answer in and out of season for the hope that is within us. I understand that discussing the topic of sexual angels is not appealing for some, but it forces some of us to do some digging in the WORD. That's a good thing.

Yeah many people bring this up to me,,,,,,,but before Jesus answered they asked this::::
Matthew 22:24 "Saying, "Master, Moses said, 'If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother', "
Matthew 22:25 "Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:"
So we see there was a family with seven brothers in it, and the oldest had a wife and died.
Matthew 22:26 "Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh."
This healthy woman outlasted all seven of the men folk.
Matthew 22:27 "And last of all the woman died also."

So with tongue in cheek, these Sadducees have presented this situation of one woman married to seven, and they all died; so they asked Jesus smirkingly, in the resurrection just who will claim her for his wife?
Keep in mind that these people asking the question don't believe what ever Jesus says, for they don't even believe in a resurrection; and this is a game with them. Yet we can be thankful to Jesus, for even though it is made to ridicule, Jesus has taken the opportunity to teach us through this stupid question.......

Matthew 22:30 For IN THE RESURRECTION they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God IN HEAVEN.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is the that hath part in the FIRST RESURRECTION: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
Two thoughts are evident here. "In the resurrection" is when that (no sex) happens. Those of the "first resurrection" are the priests and that happens at the end of this age. That sets a time frame for that event. And, as you pointed out it appears to be restricted at present to ....those "in heaven," not on earth.
The statement still remains.........We all know angels can eat food,,,"meat",,,,,,,,so what happens when a angels eats????Does he digest the food?????do they use the bathroom??? Whatever the case they have some form of a digestive system that can intake hum,an foods......So who among us can say they dont have a reproductive system??????
i have information on this subject. of course it is not a good thing to have sex with an angel, and i believe that it reads in the word that those who were born of angel human/parents were evil.

These immoral men had no sense of respect even for strangers. Now we can see just how wicked it was. Lot wanted to protect the two men, and didn't want the perverted Sodomites dragging them out.

Understand, Lot was a judge.

It's hard to understand how Lot could make such an offer with his own two daughters, however, this may be an indication of the mind-set that Lot and his family had sunk, when surrounded with such filth for so long. Let's face it, amongst the Sodomites, there is no honor, only degradation. There simply was no form of honor left in Sodom, except in the mind of Lot.
