I am still new to the forum, but thought I would post this request.

My family fell apart. My mom and dad were married for 34 years and just divorced. It sounds like an episode out of some talk show unfortunately, but I am having trouble getting peace for this. My dad ran a restaurant and was a pastor and just constantly burned the candle at both ends. There are some other things that happened that I don't want to get into but, my mom ended up leaving him for another man. Now... he has another woman also. I feel like they did not/do not believe what I was raised to believe. I feel let down obviously, but I can't make it all fit in my head. Also, it has ripped me and my siblings apart, especially me and my sister. We are no longer talking. She has taken my dad's side when I have seen more than she as far as things he has done, she blames it all on my mom. When I do not condone what my mom did and take no sides I see why she wanted a divorce. I don't know or think there is any way for reconciliation for my parents, but I just want to find some peace with this. And I know the only peace will be from the Lord. I could really use some prayer for this in a huge way! Also for any sort of reconciliation in my family, including us kids just being friends again with our parents.

dear new friend really you have no peace and GOD know every thing about your family matters, but i pray for your mother,father and your sister get peace with you. may god bless your family and especially you.

My own children are experiencing the pain you are going through.

The circumstances are different, but the pain is the same, the broken family is the same.

My prayers are with you.

The only thing that makes sence in this is that satan wants to kill steal and destroy anything good including families, especially godly families.

You are so right Miche, satan is out to destroy our families and ever since this has happened to my family I have prayed that
much harder for me and my husband. Spiritual protection is a big thing to me now.

AngleK, Just remember that GOD is the GOD of more than enough. HE can restore things, in your family, even if it means that your parents divorce is the answer. I will be praying for your family and that the LORD send a HEALING BALM to each of you. May HIS LOVE transform this into something HE can use for HIS GLORY, and may it be a TESTIMONY of HIS LOVE, for each of you.

I'm so sorry to hear of your parent's situation. The ripping of the covenant of marriage is painful for everyone involved which is one reason why God hates divorce. I have prayed for your family. God bless.
