This is picture l posted the first week of August under a just for fun topic about my yard.

On the 18th of the month an east wind came up and l went out to tie these up, as they were getting quite tall. As l tied the last one up...the one in the middle.. l heard in my Spirit..

"Strengthen your stakes," I knew because an east wind was coming. This was also during the Olympics.

Look at those same flowers today.
The one l was tying when l heard "strengthen your stakes" is the one in the middle that has grown so tall!! The others have bent down...

QUOTE
Isa 54:1 ¶ Sing, O barren, thou [that] didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou [that] didst not travail with child: for more [are] the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
strengthen your stakes come from a portion of scripture in Isa.54 2..

Isa 54:2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

Isa 54:3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

Isa 54:4 ¶ Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

Isa 54:5 For thy Maker [is] thine husband; the LORD of hosts [is] his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Isa 54:6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

Isa 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

Isa 54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

Isa 54:9 ¶ For this [is as] the waters of Noah unto me: for [as] I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

Isa 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

Isa 54:11 ¶ O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, [and] not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

Isa 54:12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

Isa 54:13 And all thy children [shall be] taught of the LORD; and great [shall be] the peace of thy children.

Isa 54:14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

Isa 54:15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, [but] not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

Isa 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD.

God has continued to use my greenhouse as a type of his protected work..
sunflowers in particular and also the fact that Jacob is being protected until the time is full.

But l also wondered about what Shekel said about God using Isaac as a type of the Father and Jacob a type of the Son.. ('but don't throw eggs if l'm wrong')..

Anyway.. God is speaking whether l understand the fullness or not.

Any thoughts about this portion of Isa.?

(I should also add that the Lord has showed me when our tents fill up and we spread out there is a need for discernment.)

WOW! huh.gif I had started this post yesterday ..... but the Lord would not let me post it. As a matter of fact He has not let me post anything since Friday before last. I understand now.... as you will read below Miki.... but I am just sitting here amazed looking at this picture of the Bloom! I had this post already pretty much put together yesterday but it was not His time. As I look at the picture it is like looking at the scripture that I quote below... Isaiah 60:14! The same scripture that I have shared with a couple of people on the forum concerning what is going on in my life. Just Amazing! Oddly enough... this is my 2008 post! Whew.... I know this is no coincidence. The whole connection with my Psalms threads and where He has had me over the past couple of years. Psalms 108/2008. Hmm?

Whew! You do not even know what this scripture means to me! I have some very personal issues going on in my life. There is nothing like a bit of news to destroy everything you thought was secure.

The Lord revealed some things to me a week ago Friday and by Saturday morning I had found them all to be true.

I remember when you 1st posted this... and the picture in another thread. Little did I know that the messages was/and would be so personal and real in my life.

Over the past few years, the Lord has pretty much allowed me to see some of the Prophectic side to my dreams and visions. Little did I know that the personal was there as wel. I am not sure.... maybe I was to blind to see…. Or just not the Lord’s timing until this past weekend.

Yes .... all I can say that I am very thankful that I have strengthen the stakes..... and heeded His warning sometime ago to get grounded in His Word again. To focus totally on the Spirit and let go of the Flesh as much as I could! What a rough few years it has been in my life.... but the Lord was preparing me for last weekend! 2 years ago the Lord gave me this very chapter in Isaiah. I have clung to it through some very troubled times.... but not so troubled as now. Anything that had resembled my home and stability had been destroyed. Honestly, things that I just took for granted about my husband and my children have come to realize are just out of my hands! I have come to understand after 2 years since my Christmas dream.... that I cannot make their decisions or purchase their gifts for them. I can only influence and teach .... and then it is up to them for their choices. In the dream I had 2 hours to complete the shopping. So odd that when I got this devastating news.... it was exactly 2 years to the month! This very thread I met Dani in for the 1st time. Wow.... and the Lord showed us a week ago Sunday that this very dream was about this news!

http://www.christian-forum.net/index.php?s...ic=7499&hl=

After Saturday's news my world was shattered.... yet I had this peace that honestly I still cannot comprehend. Saturday night I spent about 2 hours in the Word and in Prayer. The 1st place He took me too was Isaiah 54! What comfort the Lord brought me! He once again reminded me of the promise He had brought me a couple of years prior!

After that long time with the Lord on Saturday night... I prayed and asked the Lord for a dream! When I woke up on Sunday I thought hmmm the Lord did'nt give me a dream? Later that day when I got back in town I spoke with Dani on the phone. She proceeded to tell me a dream she had the night before. As I listened... I knew it was the dream I had prayed for. Then I thought of the words I had spoken in my prayer.... I had not asked the Lord for Him to make me dream and give me a dream.... but I just asked for a dream! He gave it to my best friend.... who has been there for me night and day over the past 2 years. Who knows my very struggles and my family probably better than anyone I know! Here is the dream.... on a personal level it was about the news and my family.

http://www.christian-forum.net/index.php?s...mp;#entry230516

Miki.... honestly.... when I seen the new picture of the sunflower towering I just had to smile! Yes ..... only the Lord could raise up those that are afflicted..... tossed with tempest, and not comforted..... listen to the way the last half of this verse reads in the Living Bible reads....

Isaiah 54:1

I WILL REBUILD YOU ON A FOUNDATION OF SAPPHIRES AND MAKE THE WALLS OF YOU HOUSES FROM PRECIOUS JEWELS!

Honestly all has been destroyed! Yet…. I can rejoice in knowing that God
Is the builder of this house!

WHEW! Praise the LORD! Only He can take a house and rebuild it like this! That night/ Sat. He had me to read Isaiah 54-through the end of the Book. What encouragement He brought to my aching heart! Although the Lord did not tell me these exact words as you to strengthen my stakes.... way over a year ago He told me that the storm was on the horizon! Four years ago He told me to get grounded in His Word again… because the times ahead would be tough. He told me that it was very urgent!

Around 2 years ago I was driving home from work, that day looking to the East... and He said "Valerie.... get ready... there is a huge storm coming.... it is just on the horizon!" I even posted it somewhere on the forum. I could include links to all the dreams and visions and things He has said… because they are all posted on the forum. For times sake I will not. Yet know this…. He has warned time and time again. If others want them included... just ask I will find them.

Thank the Lord.... that my hope is built on the Solid Rock! Because honestly I do not know how I would be standing right now. And in the midst of the biggest storm of my life.... I just shake my head because I feel that I am standing taller than I have in many years!

There is a scripture in Isaiah 60...
14The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

Do you not see it in your blooming picture? Look at the other sunflower bowing low at the feet of the towering blooming one. The color... the height.... whew... just amazing!

What a promise that we have….. and interestingly enough the Lord has begun to show me this very thing in my own life. I have stood amazed this week …. Time and time to see these words coming to pass.

A few years ago the Lord gave me a dream that for the most part showed me that no matter what happens Valerie.... Don't grow weary in well doing.... for in due season you will reap if we faint not.

Miki I am convinced that the storm that is about to come upon us is one like we have never known. To weather this strong wind we do have to strengthen our stakes and dig deep to be grounded enough to endure. We need to be anchored to the ROCK! This requires preparation before the storm…. And I am afraid that time of preparation is just about up!

The Lord has allowed the most devastating thing to happen in my home on a personal level! Thinking back to Dani's dream all that was left in tact of the foundation was the pier-and- beams. It is going to take a WHOLE LOT OF CEMENT TO SHORE IT UP!

Oddly I know a little about concrete work, this is the business my father has been in for about 40 years. The pier-and-beam is where you dig a hole deep in the ground and then fill the concrete with steel and then pour the cement inside. This helps the foundation to be anchored and secure. If you noticed in Dani's dream..... it was only these pier and beams that were visible underneath! Honestly.... this is all I have in my life! It was that faith that I have built on the Rock, and it is the stability of being grounded in Him that is pulling me through when everything around me is destroyed!

I cannot help but think what is coming on a grander scale for the US / the World? What is the scope of the prophetic side to Dani's dream..... and what will be the magnitude of that destruction? Very sobering to think about! Who will remain standing and who will fall?

Love in Christ,
Valerie

Valarie,

God is great...He is using this word and teaching me. I want to say quickly though before going any further that he uses our lives for signs so that we can understand the magnitude of situations. It's one thing to read it..another to live it. Even if it's only a type. I may pm you with a more personal thought.

One of the things l was realizing today is that the types of Joseph and Jacob over lap. The more l thought about it the more l realized how things are interchangeable. Jacob is a type of Christ as is Joseph. (Like Father like Son)

Bare with me..l'm learning as l go...and my mouth is full of words...

Jacobs trouble.

When the storm comes from the east it will be time...
and it's out of that time that God will raise him up. A remnant.

Many of us have Jacobs in our lives. One of the things l told God is... if you save Jacob do it utterly. I could not bare a lukewarm pretender
appeasement sad.gif ...spare me from that charade Lord. God even uses that to show me how he hates the lukewarm...

I think that many people will have to be brought into deep trouble to turn to the Lord..This chastisement is (l believe) Gods last resort..He doesn't want to do this but will and we know he will because he says he will.

But Val..we look to the sunflower that the LORD stakes up. The sunflower doesn't stake itself up. I believe the Lord was showing me that he will stake many up in the time of trouble for his pleasure and purposes..and in turn they will lengthen their cords ..expand the tent and strengthen their stakes. We know because we know the Lord will use the Jacobs..now becoming Israel after wrestling with God to bring the message to his brothers and to the world in the last days. It will be by fire.

Us to. God has used this simple garden event to demonstrate other things to me as well..interchangeable things. He talked about what we need to do when our tents fill up..about discernment and watching and chewing and holding a high standard. In fact he strengthens us for this very purpose...so that we can do the same for others according to his high standard.

When l researched east wind l found that God greatly uses it...to dry up the red sea..to bring drought..to bring locust...to bring quail...to scatter the ships of Tarshish and the list goes on. Many other could elaborate on this and on this portion of Isa.

I pray you gather strength from being able to have an objective view of your situation. The signs in my life..dreams and visions... have done that for me. Do not grieve that some may go through 7 years of tribulation...Better that than an eternity without the Lord.

I guess for me the sticking point is
that all is still not set in stone...boy that's rough.

I keep looking for something that shows me the final outcome but it's just not there.. Some will be given special glasses to see...but other just blinders...We don't know and God in his mercy holds it back.

Love to you Val.. I thank God that he has prepared you to weather the storm...Your friend Miki

I would love to hear the scriptural insights you've had...I know right now you're consumed on a personal level but if you settle into it please share.
Love to you!! wub.gif And thank you Dani!!!!!!

Couldn't help but think of Jonah Miki.

Not sure of its relevance.............maybe its a sign (of Jonah), signs need stakes laugh.gif .......but it does speak of a quick growing plant and a violent east wind.

Jon 4:5 ¶ So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.
6 And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made [it] to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.
:7 But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.
8 And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, [It is] better for me to die than to live.
:9 ¶ And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, [even] unto death.
10 Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night:
11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and [also] much cattle?

Hi Val .....what's the storm that's coming?

I have seen the final outcome, and yet it was dismissed by most. No use in saying it again.

Why didn't you strengthen them all Miki?

It's not set in stone Marcus...But the prophet must speak true and not be afraid of the outcome one way or the other. A prophet faces himself daily (he has no choice) as he faces God. It's hard to go..and if you don't face the side of yourself you don't want to see God won't deliver you but let you be blown down with the rest. Read what the Bible says in the word about Jacobs trouble and you will know what the east wind brings and why.

There is hope in this portion of Isa. though..Read it and commentary about the chapter if you want..I need insight.

QUOTE
COMFORTS OF HIS ROD AND STAFF
"Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me."

David never loses sight of the Shepherd all through his wonderful song. Comfort here stands for protection, peace, preservation, strength, and assurance in the hard places of life. If we were left to our own strength and wisdom we would be overcome and destroyed. There is no place of safety except in the Shepherd's care.

By means of His rod He beats back the evil powers which threaten us. Mighty wonders on land and sea have been accomplished by the rod of God. Our Saviour-Shepherd may select a very ordinary instrument to serve as His rod, but it will serve both Him and us well. His own power passes into this common instrument, just as the "rod" of Moses became the might of God. It became a devouring serpent and swallowed up the rods of the magicians. This same stick from the desert became the instrument in the hand of Moses by which God rolled back the waters of the Red Sea and delivered Israel. By this rod streams of water flowed in the desert.

The rod of our Shepherd prevails in every battle. The rod is an instrument of sovereignty. Our Sovereign-Shepherd rules over all. In our day when men's hearts are failing them for fear of those things which are coming upon the earth, the saints of God can rest in confidence that their Shepherd-King is overruling the governments of this world, and can be assured that the kingdoms of this world shall soon become the kingdoms of their Lord and Master.

The rod stands for correction, but even the chastening of our Shepherd is not void of comfort. Saints have learned that succeeding each correction from the Shepherd's rod, fresh and sweet revelations of His love and grace speedily follow. Someone has said, "I was almost glad to receive the whippings which my father gave us, just to receive and enjoy the special caresses and expressions of deep love which always followed."

Chastening assures us that we are yet the subjects of our Shepherd's love. "For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth." Heb. 12:6. Chastisement does not always indicate that the sheep of God are wayward. We are told that this word actually means "Child-training." Even our sinless Saviour was put to grief, and "learned obedience by the things which He suffered."

"Now chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby." Heb. 12:11. In view of the afterward the sheep of God can even "joy in tribulation."

Unlike the complaining woman who said, "When I feel the best, I feel the worst, knowing how bad I'll feel when I feel bad again," we should say, "We feel the best when we feel the worst, knowing how good we shall feel when the chastisement has ended."

Some of us who belonged to the order of better days (days wherein parents ruled their children rather than being ruled by them) learned a valuable lesson concerning chastisement. Instead of drawing back we discovered that if we would draw close up to the correcting parent the licks would not be nearly so hard.

"As many as I love I rebuke and chasten." Rev. 3:19.

The shepherd's staff is used to count the sheep at the close of the day when they pass through the door of the sheep fold. He who counteth the hosts of heaven, and calleth them all by their names, counteth His blood-bought sheep, and numbereth even the hairs of their heads. No loving mother ever cared for her child with the love and deep concern which our Shepherd knows. He forgets not the minutest interests of those who love Him.

The staff is used by the shepherd to rescue the sheep which is caught in thorns, or has slipped and fallen to some hazardous point at the verge of a yawning chasm.

You, dear saint of God, may be caught in some tormenting thistle where all hope appears to be in vain. Despair not, for thy Shepherd knoweth thy sad plight and will come to your rescue on schedule. He is never late for those who trust in His care. Some sad disaster may have struck, or through no fault of your own you may be suspended over some dreadful precipice without a beam of hope in sight. Despair not, for the Shepherd's long and loving reach shall rescue you in time. His staff may not appear in the manner we think, but it is His nevertheless. It may be a song, a sermon, a kind word, a prayer, a promise from the precious Book, or some unexpected act of providence, but it is our Shepherd's staff.

The staff also stands for support, or something to lean upon in the time of weariness. Our loving Shepherd shares His staff with us and supports us in times of sorrow or trial. This staff may well stand for the unfailing precious promises of the Bible. What a staff to lean upon! Men's promises may fail, but the promises of our Lord can never fail. His Word is a rock which will never quake. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but His Word never. This is our staff now, shall be our staff in the darkest night, shall be our comforting support at eternity's border, and shall be our stay in the ages yet to come. How great is this staff! Let us make much of it: read it, meditate upon it, believe it with simple faith, practice it in our daily lives, then rest upon it when earth and all that is mortal is receding. "Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me."

I think the fact that l was tying the sunflower to the stake indicates a big storm. I'm reminded of sailors who lashed themselves to the ship.
Miki
Val...I came across this when looking for a picture of someone lashed to a ship. It's the first thing l came across and know it's a word!

It's long but l posted it all just incase l might lose a crumb or morsel.

"LEFT BEHIND" AND THE SPIRIT OF DESERTION.
A LESSON IN CHRISTIAN DEVOTION FROM
THE SHIPWRECK OF THE APOSTLE PAUL

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A devotional/exhortational essay by Gavin Finley MD
email: gwfinley@cox.net

SUMMARY
Caught in a gale lasting two weeks the stricken ship carrying the Apostle Paul has been driven westwards across the Mediterranean sea. On the fourteenth night the crew have sensed that they are approaching land. After taking soundings they know that they are in shallow water. They let go four anchors from the stern and pray. Now the vessel lies straining at anchor in the howling gale. The vessel pitches and rolls. They are trapped against a treacherous lee shore in the hours of darkness. There is no way to sail off into deep water again. During the night the four stern anchors are barely holding the vessel from shipwreck. But for how long?

Now, somewhere off the coast of Malta a sinister drama begins to unfold. In the midnight hour Paul observes some of the crew behaving furtively up on the deck. As he watches he sees that they are preparing to lower the lifeboat over the side. They are secretly preparing to desert the ship. They are going "A.W.O.L"! This is a serious matter. In military parlance these crewmembers are now preparing to be "absent without leave".

What had possessed these crewmembers to do such a thing? Certainly they were being faithful to themselves. Oh yes, they were "looking out for number one". But they were ready to abandon their shipmates. They had fully intended to desert the ship. They were prepared to walk out on their responsibilities as seamen and to leave the passengers to their fate. Oh yes. They would be OK, in their special cozy little vessel, leaving early to avoid the shipwreck. But the passengers were about to be left stranded aboard a stricken ship in a raging tempest. The deserters were quite happy for these people to be <>b>'left behind'!

What were these crewmembers thinking? Where was their heart? Hadn't they read and taken note of their commissioning papers? They were responsible for these people! Now, instead of attending to the passengers in their tribulation and seeing to their safe passage in the spirit of the "red badge of courage" they were "outta there"! They were running off! They were going to abandon them! They, as crewmwmbers, were going to "cop out", to desert! The passengers would be left to perish in a watery grave. Oh yes. The ship and its passengers would be "left behind"!

Dear saints, let us just pause for a moment.
And let us take a close look at what is going on here.
The crew are responsible for the safety and secutity of all on board.
But what do we see?
They skipping out before they have been given leave to go.
They are deserting their stations.
And they are skipping out at a time when they are most needed.
What an awful and shameful business this is!

Well our God is not unaware of this conspiracy. And He happens to have His representative right there onboard. The Apostle Paul sees this whole caper as it begins to unfold. And he knows what is really behind it. He takes a dim view of this shameful and self-serving impulse. A desertion by the crew would have jeopardized the lives of everybody onboard, including the lives of the despicable deserting crewmembers.

The Holy Spirit speaks to Paul. And Paul alerts the captain. He warns him that the ship and the ship's company cannot be saved if the crew skips out. The crewmembers still loyal to the captain are summoned. They respond immediately and decisively to this budding act of treachery. They cut the lifeboat loose. And the cowardly and self-serving act is prevented; - just in time. The engraving above shows the ship's perilous situation as dawn breaks on the 15th day.

THE SPECTER OF DESERTION.
A LESSON IN CHRISTIAN DEVOTION
FOR US IN THE WESTERN CHURCH TODAY.
Just up ahead the epic crisis of the age is looming for the western church. We have all been commissioned to bring in the final and climactic witness of Jesus Christ in the midst of a raging of nations. There will be great trials and a great tribulation. Our Lord Jesus told us so. (Mat.24, Luke 21)

Dear saints.
This is an issue of Christian devotion pure and simple.
Shall we stay with our God through all this?

Historic times are up ahead. They will probably open up on some future Jewish New Year. At that time a seven year peace covenant will be confirmed involving Israel and G-7 nations of Christendom. The trumpets will sound. And the awesome end-time drama will begin to unfold. The curtain will open. And the end-time saints will go up on stage. There they will take their places for the final acts of the play. The final three and a half years will see the 5th seal opened. This will be the "final witness" of the Church. And so the story of God for this era will come to its grand climax.

What will this world and the watching angels see? And in particular, how will the western Church perform under pressure? When Jesus returns "will He find faith upon the earth?" - Luke 18:8 Will He find true loyalty and Christian devotion when He comes back? Or will He find that many, having been given no information or false information, will themselves desert from the Christian faith?

And here is the key question. Are we ready to face the challenge Of Christian witness under pressure should we be called upon to do so? Or are we entertaining notions of abandonment, an inclination to in effect 'desert the ship'?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ACTS 27; THE SHIPWRECK OF THE
APOSTLE PAUL AND THE SPECTER OF
CRAVEN COWARDICE AND DESERTION
IN THE FACE OF DANGER.
In our studies and meditations in God's Word some messages emerge quite clearly and factually. Others emerge as themes. These are "types" and "shadows" of spiritual truths. Such themes may repeat themselves, reverberating as it were throughout the holy scriptures. These themes must be spiritually discerned. They require confirmation by cross-referencing with other scripture. And they are brought into focus for us by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. - John 16:13
Here in this sea story there is an important spiritual message for us to learn. The theme appears to be a warning to us from God. It concerns the issue of "dereliction of duty in the face of danger". We might also call it "abandonment" or in military parlance, "desertion", "going AWOL" or being "absent without leave". In this sea story God is sending us a message. And He is is calling us to true loyalty and Christian devotion. He is calling on us to "stick with Him until the end".

Our story begins in Acts 27 with the voyage of our dear Apostle Paul. As you will recall, he was a prisoner under extradition to Rome. Why? Well he had appealed his case to Caesar. Paul was embarking on his last voyage, a voyage that would take him to the very center of power of the then known world. There he would complete of his life work and ministry.

Like Paul, the followers of Jesus are also prophesied to come to a tempestuous final period of history known as the 70th week of Daniel. It will occupy the final seven years of this present age before Messiah returns to minister and rule upon this earth. John the Baptist prophesied that the saints who follow Christ would eventually come to not only their baptism in the Holy Spirit but also to a "baptism of fire".(Mat.3:11)

Unfortunately this is untaught in the western Laodicean style church of today. Combat veterans know what "baptism of fire" means. The popular church in the west today does not, (or will not), allow themselves to learn what it means.

As with our Apostle Paul's voyage, there is to be a climax, a showdown at the end of this age. Many western saints have never been under fire for their Christian faith before. But we need not fear. We have been given many promises. Jesus Himself will keep, preserve, and cover us as we come (Gr.)"ek" or "in, through, and out of" our "hour of trial". (Rev. 3:10).

Jesus has also charged us with the Great Commission. Right there in our commission He has given us His personal assurance that He will be with us until the end of the age. The scope of our commission is quite clear from the words of Jesus. Our assignment extends right on out to the very end of the age. (Mat.28:16-20) So we can be sure that our commission to serve God here on earth does not expire until the last day of this age, (or the end of our life, whichever comes first). Jesus Himself has promised us that He will not desert us in our hour of trial. He said that He would be with us "even to the end of the age".

If He will be with us right through the end of the age then why should we desert the Captain of our salvation? How can we possibly entertain fond notions of skipping out seven years before the end of the age? Why should we toy around with any fancy ideas of absenting ourselves from the final 7 years of this age? We are His witnesses are we not? Doesn't that final 7 year period of this age involve the witness of the saints? Why are we even listening to a doctrine of the end time that is secretly undermining our faith, denying the blood covenant devotion, and has us giving up and deserting the ship?

THE TEMPEST, AND THE SHIPWRECK OF THE APOSTLE PAUL.
Let us return to our sea story now. The gale in the Med was a particularly awful one that year. It went on for two weeks and on board that storm tossed vessel things were grim. Towards the end all hope was lost.
The details of this voyage from a nautical perspective have been wonderfully outlined in the website 'The Apostle Paul's Shipwreck It must have been quite a storm. The sailors girded the ship with ropes for fear it would break up in the raging tempest. Then they threw the cargo overboard. Next to go over the side was the ship's tackle and everything else that could be thrown overboard. Then they lashed the vessel with ropes to prevent it from breaking up in the howling tempest.

During the night an angel of God appears before Paul. He is told the ship will indeed be lost. But he is also given a comforting word of encouragement.
Paul is told,
"God has given you the lives of all who sail with you".
This was indeed a wonderful and timely assurance.

On the fourteenth night the sailors sensed that land was near. They confirmed this by taking soundings. They were being driven towards a lee shore during a gale at night. This was the sailor's ultimate nightmare. They put out four stern anchors and prayed for daylight.

The midnight hour brought that awful moment of reckoning. What would the sailors do? They knew that shipwreck was near. As officers and crew aboard that ship they had this information. The passengers did not. What to do?

As we focus in on the story here the plot begins to thicken. The ship is doomed. It is on approach to an unknown shore. In the darkness the crew can hear the breakers downwind in the distance. There is no hope of sailing clear. They are now fully aware of their perilous condition. The ship lunges forward then is held back as the four anchor lines groan at the stern of the ship. How much longer can the anchors hold?

Amidst the fear that clutches at their hearts certain members of the crew begin to waver in their devotion to the captain and the ship. They begin to entertain thoughts of their own personal survival. Towards the midnight hour they begin to think the unthinkable. They begin to think of desertion. Notions of abandonment and dereliction of duty begin to play upon their minds. Soon they were no longer a crew committed to the ship. They had become a rabble obsessed with thoughts of their own personal safety. Without proper authority a few of the crewmembers begin to toy around with some special plans of their own. They begin to entertain the idea of a special early escape. They fantasize, then they believe, and then they act upon their belief. They exclusive escape plan they hatch out is for themselves and for themselves alone. They plan to leave the doomed ship, and the ship's company. They plan to escape in the lifeboat. They will launch the boat over the side before the inevitable final crisis unfolds.

There was no need for this. The crew had heard Paul's words of encouragement. They had heard his message of assurance. God had said that all on board that ship and sailing with Paul would be saved. But they had discounted the Word of God. They refused to believe the message the Apostle Paul had given them. Instead, the crew acts on the basis of the sum of its fears. They choose to believe that the ship will be wrecked with great loss of life. They believe the vessel will soon be breaking up on the rocks at night with all lives being lost in the sea.

So what do we see? We no longer see a crew under the discipline of higher authority. They are now an unruly mob. They have switched over into a survival mode based on selfism. When that ship comes in they don't want to be on board! No sir! This escape plan they have hatched is for themselves. They have a special little boat. It is theirs. And now they are lowering it over the side. This little vessel of grace is for them, and for them alone!
And as for the others?

Well they will be LEFT BEHIND!

Abandonment! Dereliction of duty! Desertion of the ship in its moment of trial! What a dreadful thing this is. Who were these men who were secretly lowering the ship's boat over the side in the midnight darkness? They were members of the ship's crew. These men had vital responsibility for the lives of all on board. These sailors had signed on with a commitment to serve onboard that ship until the end of the voyage. So just what were they up to here? As sailors their duty was to ensure the safe passage and administration of the vessel until it came safely into port at its final destination. Their job was to see to the preservation of all the ship's company and the passengers sailing with them. Now, in this shameful act, they had become unfaithful to that commission. They had become sailors unworthy of their calling.

Just what had happened here? Fear, it seems, was the key. Because of fear they had let go of their faith and lost sight of their devotion. And now they were about to become just an unruly gang of deserters.

Those people onboard had been entrusted to their care. Why then, had these crewmembers entertained this unfaithful and cowardly notion of abandoning the rest of the ship's company? Why were these sailors deserting the ship and its passengers just when their services were about to be needed most? -see Acts 27:30.

I don't agree with his word on the broader scale but do agree with it on the lesser scale. It isn't abandonment if the Lord takes us out. It's only abandonment if we act like Noah...

But l do think that the Lord has to lash us to the post at times to keep us from fleeing...He's done it to me.

If not l would have surely fled with much carnage behind me...and this in more than one situation..

Looking back l can honestly say that in ministry as well as personal situations that had the Lord not used circumstances to lash me to the ship l would have surely gone.

Marcus... Honestly I think it is Both! I can only say this from the perspective of what I am going through in my own personal life.

The Lord and I have been strengthening these stakes for several years now! He knew the storm on the horizon and how it would be the test of my life! Yet in the midst of the Pain and hurt I cannot describe the Joy that I feel even though I have been lied to for 5 years!

The security that I trusted in man and my marriage of 25 years has failed me... yet the Lord has lifted me up! Honestly I have not felt this spiritually strong in years! It is only the Lord! In the midst of the worst storm of my life the blessings that you speak of have poured from the hand of the Lord.

Yet trust me... it did not come without a storm/ yet I am weathering it only because I am staked to the Lord. I posted a scripture earlier in my 1st post....

Isaiah 60:14 the Lord speaks of those that have afflicted me and oppressed me He will cause to come and bow down before me.

I have sat with my mouth on the floor at what the Lord has done over the past week and a half. He has poured His blessings on me 100 fold! Why? honestly I am not sure. I think to give me some insight into what will happen in this future storm that is coming! Am I special that He would use me or show me? No, not anyone special at all .... just someone that Loves the Lord will all my heart! He is my rock.... my anchor... my stake! I know that the news I received will probably pale in comparison to what is to come... yet He has shown me that as long as He is what anchors me that I will weather the storm! I will remain standing for Him whether in life or death.

So you asked about what the storm is? I am not sure...only God knows for sure..... who knows maybe it is a judgement on those that have not remained faithful to Him? The scripture says that judgement must begin with the House of God 1st!

Maybe the labor pains have started? Maybe it is something that will be so devastating that it will level the house so to speak.... and all that remains is a few concrete pillars/ the Rock! Who knows for sure but I do not believe the blessing comes alone... but comes either just prior or during the storm.

At least I can attest to what has happened on a personal level for me. I feel that most of the dreams and visions He has given me over the past several years...... the prophetic side was easy for me to receive of the Lord.. I was just blinded or did not want to see the personal side was for me as well.

Marcus....have you done much camping? There is not to much need to stake a tent when there is no wind or storms forcasted. But trust me.... OKLAHOMA WHERE THE WIND COMES SWEEPING DOWN THE PLAIN..... you better have it staked then! Or you will be like me once..... chasing our tent down the plains! blush.gif The end of passage in Isaiah 54 speaks about the fear and the terror not coming near.. Why is that? It is because in Righteousness we are established! They will gather together against us.... they will draw their weapons of war against us.... they will use their tongues and rise against us. We can be certain The wind will blow... yet if we are established in His Righteousness we are sure to stand!

Miki.... I will respond to you tomorrow.... as it is very late and I am tired. Thank you for your words of encouragement! I found the post about Paul and being lost at sea very comforting! The Lord bless you sister.... He has used you many times over the past several years to confirm what He is doing in my life. Thank you for sharing what the Lord is doing in your life!.

Wow I still cannot believe the picture of the sunflower in bloom, how the Lord used that to speak to me!

Love in Christ,
Val

I wonder if we as a nation. are going to be betrayed?.. ..Elections are coming.
For many countries there is a shift of power...(Just thinking out loud).

We reap what we sow...there is no doubt. But...

Because we're strengthened to stand the storm

we will pass it on.

I say this again as l have said so many times before. Chastisement will happen before the rapture. This will cause many fence sitters to slip to one side or the other...Boy..It's still not set in stone on which way each will go...but pray and believe.

Many will find true salvation
and many will mock and say.."Where is your God now"?.. Then in a twinkle..

God is strengthening us now with his rod and staff... Soon you will understand it.

Please hang on. I know some have already deserted the ship and have climbed aboard with the nay sayers.. they will find their fate.

We love you Lord...Tie us as Abraham did Isaac...so we won't flee...

As he strengthens us to stand agaisnt the east wind we are in turn admonished to strengthen the stakes of our expanding tents.

Discernment. What is happening in yourfamily and church and forum that needs dealing with.

QUOTE
2. The bounds of the church were extended much further than ever before, Isaiah 54:2,3. (1.) It is here supposed that the present state of the church is a tabernacle state; it dwells in tents, like the heirs of promise of old (Hebrews 11:9); its dwelling is mean and movable, and of no strength against a storm. The city, the continuing city, is reserved for hereafter. A tent is soon taken down and shifted, so the candlestick of church privileges is soon removed out of its place (Revelation 2:5), and, when God pleases, it is as soon fixed elsewhere. (2.) Though it be a tabernacle state, it is sometimes very remarkably a growing state; and, if this family increase, no matter though it be in a tent. Thus it was in the first preaching of the gospel; it was the business of the apostles to disciple all nations, to stretch forth the curtains of the church's habitation, to preach the gospel where Christ had not yet been named (Romans 15:20), to leaven with the gospel those towns and countries that had hitherto been strangers to it, and so to lengthen the cords of this tabernacle, that more might be enclosed, which would make it necessary to strengthen the stakes proportionably, that they might bear the weight of the enlarged curtains. The more numerous the church grows the more cautious she must be to fortify herself against errors and corruptions, and to support her seven pillars, Proverbs 9:1. (3.) It was a proof of divine power going along with the gospel that in all places it grew and prevailed mightily, Acts 19:20. It broke forth, as the breaking forth of waters--on the right hand and on the left, that is, on all hands. The gospel spread itself into all parts of the world; there were eastern and western churches. The church's seed inherited the Gentiles, and the cities that had been desolate (that is, destitute of the knowledge and worship of the true God) came to be inhabited, that is, to have religion set up in them and the name of Christ professed.

What's going on inside our tents..painful though it may be we are admonished to look. Yes, God is control but we are given specific instructions not to just throw our hands up in the air and say "Oh well, l'm just going to love everybody and God will take care of it". No. That is not scriptural at all. We must watch against the true enemy..

This word stretched beyond it's first application and l don't think God is done yet.

I suppose you don't need to look far for an East Wind..............

QUOTE
Hundreds of thousands flee as Ike roars toward Texas

Hundreds of thousands of residents in Texas' coastal areas — including parts of Houston — were ordered to evacuate as Ike raged across the Gulf of Mexico on a collision course with the state, packing hurricane-force winds that stretched more than 200 miles and were expected to gain even more strength.

Forecasters issued a hurricane warning for the Texas Gulf Coast from the Louisiana state line to near Corpus Christi. The warning, which also extended east along much of the Louisiana coast to Morgan City, means hurricane conditions could reach the coast by late Friday with the front edge of the storm before its powerful center hits land over the weekend.

Ike is expected to become at least a Category 3 storm, meaning winds upward of 111 mph before it comes ashore, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said.

In Houston, gleaming skyscrapers, the nation's biggest refinery and NASA's Johnson Space Center lie in areas that could be vulnerable to wind and floodwaters if Ike crashes ashore as a major hurricane. Mandatory evacuations were ordered for tens of thousands of people in low-lying areas in Harris County, where Houston is located.

If projections of the storm's path hold up, the area surrounding Houston — home to about 4 million people — would be lashed by the eastern or "dirty" side of the storm, said meteorologist Jeff Masters, co-founder of San Francisco-based Weather Underground. This stronger side of the storm often packs heavy rains, walloping storm surge and tornadoes.

Masters said that Ike could cause a "huge storm surge" affecting at least 100 miles of the Texas coast.

l suggest to Marcus if he's interest to go back through the links and look at the study l did on the east wind.

This word can apply personally..locally and on a broader level as well. It's not hard to figure out.
We've talked about it on his forum for years.

Some will be raised up to see because God lashed them to the mast..They stand the storm and many will be saved because of it.

In a greater sense l see both Jacob and Joseph here...Jacob as the remnant of Israel...144,000 being given eyes to see..

Joseph being raised up because he has eyes to see. Notice the lamp stand in the picture below. Like two eyes seeing red.

Those red light bulbs where in that fixture when we moved in..The people had a hot tub there. I never figured out how to open the fixture so l left them. The glass is frosted and you can't see them except when the son shines through them...as during sunrise and sunset.. cool.gif

It reminds me of the English bible-code..http://bible-codes.org/english_KJV-picture_bible_code.htm

Dean speaks of this in the codes in the most solid of ways..The images in my garden remind me of it only. They are by no means comparable to the work God did through him. He's only confirming it for me because l believe. He wants to confirm his work to all..in their own language...whether a theologian, mathematician or a truck driver's daughter.

QUOTE
All of this code reads perfectly in agreement with the Scriptures!

She is "the wife of the Lamb"! (Rev. 21:9.) (For the earrings that she wears, see Ezek. 16:12. She also wears a veil not seen in this image.). She is a seeress (prophetess), therefore notice the red-tinted glasses of the "seer", for she will be given glasses {enablement} to see! (The glasses are angled so as to invite you to look through them yourself, that is, you are looking from behind the prophetess through her glasses.)

Indeed, God will grant her eyes to see Yesu ("seers"/glasses), "and an ear" to hear Yeshua ("here-ing aid"), a nose to smell that which is sweet like "mint" but also to smell that which is "hated", and a mouth to prophesy Jesus to the four corners of the earth. (The three spellings of Jesus are perfectly located at the four main senses of the head, that is, the sight, hearing, taste and smell. The word Jesus is not located anywhere else in this code!)

The "temple" of the glasses (i.e., the rod used to hang glasses on the ears) reads/reeds, "Eyer, eyes north --- hope!" She is looking upward toward the north to north-west sky, where a storm is rising. (This is Russia and Europe as seen from the direction of the sea of Galilee.) She is crying. (Lit. reads, "Eye cry a tear!", which letters form the shape of "a tear" below her eye, --- even a fountain of tears flowing in both directions. The Hebrew word for "eye" also means "fountain".)

To her is given a "reed" to measure and to rule. It is 360 units long. The head is eight reeds long. (And much much more!) It is 12,000 (less 6 + 6 + 6 letters) times 12 long (144,000 letters) from ear to earring, (less a total of 6 x 6 x 6 letters). (The code is at an ELS of 11982 letters.) The symbolism of this numeric tells us that she has been redeemed from fallen mankind! (For "6-6-6" combined with "12,000 times 12" ("144,000") see Rev. 13:16 to 14:3 {7:4-8}.)

Nearly every word is a play on words. Thus, "here" also means "hear", and "reed" also means "read", "hare" also means "hair", and "eye" also mean "I", and "bare" also means "bear", "case" means 'a trunk of luggage' or 'a legal case', etc. The bible code also at times uses three languages, Hebrew, Latin, and Greek. However, when it does it uses all three readings together to say the same thing so as to make the meaning certain.

The boat reads (along with many other things), "I am Yeshua". However, the English code also transliterates the Hebrew for "I am" and it happens that "I AM" ("anee") in Hebrew also means "a boat"! Thus, "I AM Yeshua" also means, "A boat is Yeshua"! And thus we have the image of the boat symbolic of Jesus as the "Ark" of Noah, and hence the rainbow. (The code reads much more than the above examples.)

As said, this English code interacts with all other picture bible codes revealed on the website even though the other codes are in Hebrew. It interacts perfectly numerically, pictorially, and thematically in every way! Awesome!

Shekel also talks about the 3 dimensional whore house...Israel was a whore house as stated in scripture.. but never the less she's God's protected work...He is holding back the forces of darkness until his purposed time..and then in the storm of great trouble and trial God will protect....raise up some higher than others... for the sake of others... and his mercy will yet prevail.

I'm reminded that these sunflowers of mine where raised in my greenhouse..I moved them into containers because we might move at anytime...I wanted to take them with me...but it's not set in stone. God is only painting a picture for me of the signs of the times so l can understand but he doesn't reveal everything.

I see all of scripture being able to be used in our lives in a practical way. Perhaps in a family God will raise up one true believer for the sake of all the rest. Even though God's not done yet, scripture tells us our families will be sanctified because of us.

God lashes us, in a symbolic sense, to the mast for our own sake and the sake of others..We see a type of that in the scriptures about Paul's journey through the storm..about jumping ship etc. I'm no martyr. If circumstances hadn't held me l'd have jumped ship many times. Lets stay the course in the tough days ahead...God will use it.

Dean says:

QUOTE
Coming soon:

Key phrase, "I am Yeshua!"

QUOTE
The name "Jesus" is Latin, whereas "Yesu" is Greek, and "Yeshua" is Hebrew. These were the same three languages that the name Jesus/Yesu/Yeshua was written above the head of Jesus on the cross as ordered by Pilate, John 19:19-20. His name means, "Yah {the Lord} is salvation".

The Greek spelling of the name Jesus is Yesu. Note the name written on the forehead starting from the middle of the glasses reading up (backwards). This agrees with the bible when it says,

"And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads," Rev. 22:4.

All of this code reads perfectly in agreement with the Scriptures!

Deuteronomy6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

QUOTE
Geneva Study Bible
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary

6:4,5 Here is a brief summary of religion, containing the first principles of faith and obedience. Jehovah our God is the only living and true God; he only is God, and he is but One God. Let us not desire to have any other. The three-fold mention of the Divine names, and the plural number of the word translated God, seem plainly to intimate a Trinity of persons, even in this express declaration of the unity of the Godhead. Happy those who have this one Lord for their God. It is better to have one fountain than a thousand cisterns; one all-sufficient God than a thousand insufficient friends. This is the first and great commandment of God's law, that we love him; and that we do all parts of our duty to him from a principle of love; My son, give me thine heart. We are to love God with all our heart, and soul, and might. That is, 1. With a sincere love; not in word and tongue only, but inwardly in truth. 2. With a strong love. He that is our All, must have our all, and none but he. 3. With a superlative love; we must love God above any creature whatever, and love nothing but what we love for him. 4. With an intelligent love. To love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, we must see good cause to love him. 5. With an entire love; he is ONE, our hearts must be united in his love. Oh that this love of God may be shed abroad in our hearts!

thing is - I think for the "saved" who heed the message - and get strengthened - it is a blessing!

but see - the dream Valerie prayed for - the "shed" was completely destroyed and replaced with a wooden floor with a foundation of piers and beams into concrete - and in need of a big ole truck to pour all of it's concrete to stabilize it. How the dream ended made it unclear what becomes of the wooden floor that replaced the shed.

The Lord is I am... past present future - so I don't know how to write this sentence: I wonder that Miki's strengthening of the stakes ( for Val, for the personal interpretation ) is that which is.

When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up A standard against him.

This is the scripture the Lord just quickened to me...as l googled for application the first thing l came to was this. It's a prayer by a fellow and l think it fits well here. Especially the first part.

QUOTE
"When The Enemy Comes In Like A Flood."
A prayer

"When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up A standard against him." Isaiah 59:19(cool.gif

My soul is satisfied in the Lord of Host. He is my refuge, He is my strength, He is the joy that sustains my life. In His hand times and seasons are established. He is righteous and in justice He rules upon all there is. I see the Lord Most High, exalted upon His enemies and the eyes of captives open to be behold the Truth that sets them free and the Way to the Father.

The blood of many saint who did not retreat, cry out unto the Lord. The blood speaks before Him of the love of His Son, in obedience and trust. Christ in them is still before the Father silently echoing: "Father the hour has come, glorify Your Son, that Your Son may also glorify You…" (John 17:1)

We are before Him and His eyes are set on those who fear Him. His heart is attentive to their cries and His ears to their words. The Lord of Host has arrayed Himself for battle. Open your spiritual eyes and behold Him. He speaks and who listens? He utters judgment and who can stand? A little while longer until His enemies are brought at His footstool. "Ask from Me the nations" He has said….

"Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling" (Psalm 2:11) Do not be afraid but request the nations for His glory. The Lord He is longsuffering and gracious, He is Lord of our lives, let Him be also Lord of our death, so that He may choose and ordain our steps until we see Him as He is. Refrain nothing from Him, He is your Lord. Ask to be preserved unto His glory. Trust Him and your trust will be justified in the day of His power. And I tell you, it will not take long to see the fruit. "Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him." Psalm 2:12

He is our rock and our fortress, therefore for His name’s sake He will lead us and guide us. Trust Him for His ways are eternal to deliver and what He establishes is not removed. From the foundations of the earth He set in throne in justice. He is not indifferent to the sorrows of His little ones. The blood of the righteous cries for justice and mercy, the Lord hears. He arrays His arm for battle and shake the foundations of the kingdoms. He measures their times and puts terms and limits to their exploits.

I see harvests past and the final harvest. I see the early rain and the later rain. The knowledge of the Lord covers the earth. What kind of knowledge is it? Knowledge of the Most High, of the intentions and purposes of Your heart. No more will man wonder what is in the mind of the Lord because the mind of Christ in them shall lead them to plunder the world and bring the kingdoms of this earth at Your footstool.

I see there will be no more fear upon the heart of men, because death will be swallowed in Your glory. Oh the blood of Your saints, is it not holy unto You? Is it not precious unto You? In one day, in one day He will raise unto Himself a powerful nation from the rejects of this world. In that day they will shine with His glory. Because of the blood of the martyrs that covered the ground, He was moved from His throne to outpour the knowledge of Him and His glory upon the whole earth. Because You do make a difference between the death of a sinner and the death of those who are holy unto You.

As in the times of old, the harvest will be watered with the blood of those who stand obedient unto You, with trusting hearts, not loving their lives but Your word above all, holding unto You. In the midst of trials and persecution this nation will turn her eyes unto You and You will extend to cover her under Your wings. You are God, a God of Mercy who shows mercy unto those You choose to show mercy. Yours are the times and the seasons. What is life of man but a breath , a puff of air lend from You for a while. To You it returns and then eternity is revealed. Blessed are those whom You call to partake of the harvesting, but blessed are those who have watered the fields with their own lives. For in the mysteries of The Eternal One, they have been given to partake of the Joy of their Savior when He looked and saw the fruit of His travail. Blessed are those chosen to look into Your glory and be changed forever.

I pray Father for those that struggle with confusion and despair. Do not let one be lost, but by Your power and the unction of Your Holy Spirit, show grace and mercy and deliver them from the trap of the of the fowler. Cause them to inherit the faith of those before them and be strengthened against despair, against depression, against losing hope, against fear. But let the heart of Christ be in them even stronger than it was in those before them.

Remember, Father, it is not by might or by power, but by Your Spirit. Cause all things to be made new, and in the newness of the Spirit upon them , let them reveal Your glory, unfolding it, revealing it, as better than what it was before. Because You have said that the later glory of this house, Your house, would be greater than the first one. And here is at hand the later glory to be revealed unto mankind. Many have longed to look upon it, but it has been reserved for those You have chosen to bear witness of You before the ages.

Be strength and comfort to Your little flock. Let them know that the good pleasure of Your heart is upon them. Be strength in them. in the day that highway shall be revealed before the nations for . The way You have revealed in those You have refined like gold to reflect Your glory. And there shall be the revelation of that road, nothing will be allowed to hinder their walk in You, like Isaiah prophesied, because the Lord Himself has become their way

"A highway shall be there and a road, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, but shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, shall not go astray. No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast go upon it; it shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there, and the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing. With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 35:8-10

Oh Father, be the voice crying from behind and leading them so that they wont go astray. But kept in Your will, they be preserved for glory and for a testimony of Your faithfulness unto those that were before them, that none of their sufferings were in vain. Do not allow the reward of those who serve You, to be plundered by the enemy but bring Your enemy down and rule upon him with a rod of iron until You crush him forever as You have promised my Lord.

Deliver unto You those souls destined for salvation, open the prison doors and set the captives of Islam free. That there may be upon the land a cry of glory and deliverance when the light of the gospel is revealed unto them. Call those that You have chosen and allow nothing to hinder them come to You. For every believer that has been tormented, persecuted, killed because of their faith in You, let their suffering in Christ set those in darkness free to follow You. "Father the hour has come, glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him." (John 17:1-2)

In this hour where darkness covers the hearts of men, and clouds their understanding. Now that the enemy has risen against You and has charged against us like a flood , Arise Oh Lord and lift the standard of salvation upon them, as You did with Saul of Tarsus. Let them come to the knowledge of You and be saved, justify the suffering of those who have been slain by Your enemy in his vain resolve to keep his prisoners captives. We ask from You, the nation of Afghanistan, pull down the stronghold of Islam her midst, deliver their souls for Your name’s sake.

"So they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him." Isaiah 59:19

And by the way Marcus..l did stake up all the plants..the center one was the anchor.

And Dani...Yes...not set in stone. The fact that he doesn't tell us... after a time becomes obvious. We are called to pray unified for God's Holy Land, instead of dividing it.
God has now pointed out numerous times that America should change its course and stand with Israel.

Once that is accomplished, the key will click in the lock. It is not that hard.

I realized something that's been bothering me..

The weather's changing and l know my sunflower set up won't withstand the weather.

I looked up harvesting.
To harvest... you put a bag over the head and cut it off. unsure.gif

I would take the shorter ones first as they are ready..

It reminds me of the coming trial when many will loose their heads..

There's another sunflower l didn't plant..a wild one..a volunteer. It is short and stout and planted in a different container. It's seeds are the all plack kind.

I will leave it for the birds for sure.

You can see it coming up in the image below just above the top of the chair. It's mature now and full of seed. It is tied up as well.

In the days ahead l'm going to talk about my garden bench. In the picture above..about half way down on the far right you will see a pot of sage...In the dark background above it is the top of a garden bench l bought a couple of months ago. I have other pictures l will try to use but will have to wait till l have access to high speed Internet.

I wanted something to put in the center of my yard to feed the birds. I use to only have an old bird bath base with a log round on it. When l was at a garden store l saw some really neat potting tables but they were to expensive and impractical since l already have potting tables. But they had something similar and smaller...A garden bench. I decided it would be perfect. I didn't much like the cutsie pooh bird house things, but Oh well..

(pictures coming soon) I believe God is using this to confirm the throne image on the bible-codes web site. This is for me but l'm sharing it with you all.. even if there is a lack of interest... l feel led to share it. I looked back in the file on this computer and the pictures l have where dated the end of Aug.. Not sure what's on my lap top..will have to wait.

Last week of Aug. or first week of September.

Below; This morning. Notice the wild sunflower on the left. I didn't plant this one. Also notice how it's head is upright and not bowed down.

I even considered the flowers that were purple and red..the begininning and end of the color spectrum.

I didn't plan this.

See how ready, how swift God is to show mercy; how he waits to be gracious. Israel was a wall, a strong wall, which God himself reared as a defence to his sanctuary. The Lord now seems to stand upon this wall. He measures it; it appears to be a bowing, bulging wall. Thus God would bring the people of Israel to the trial, would discover their

The message of Amos, one of the minor prophets of the Old Testament, is somewhat different from that of the rest of the prophets, and has been singled out as unique. The message of this book is basically to declare the impartiality of God. God plays no favorites. He makes no allowances for one person that he will not make for others as well. There is no such thing as being God's fair-haired boy. He does not give any more to one than he does to another, in accordance with the promises that he makes. Any who are willing to fulfill the conditions of the promises will find his blessing poured out upon them, regardless of who they are; and any who presume upon these conditions will find him sitting in judgment upon them and his Word condemning them no matter who they are. This is the message of Amos.

9Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.

10Yea, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.

12But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.

13And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground.

I must look at Amos in the context of this day as the sign is given for us.

QUOTE
And then as the prophet moves on he puts his finger on the very thing that is wrong:

Therefore because you trample upon the poor and take from him exactions of wheat, you have built houses of hewn stone, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink their wine. For I knew how many are your transgressions, and how great are your sins---you who afflict the righteous, who take a bribe, and turn aside the needy in the gate. Therefore he who is prudent will keep silent in such a time...(5:11-13)

Now this is the reason this book is so loved by the liberal; Amos is called the prophet of social justice, the man who demanded that man treat their fellow-man rightly. Liberals love this book because of these thundering pronouncements against the social evils of Amos' day---and rightly so. God is always disturbed by social injustices. But what the liberals seem to miss in this book is Amos' appeal to these people. He doesn't just say to them, "Now stop doing these things." He does say that, but that isn't all he says. It is how to stop doing these things that is the important message, and you will find it plainly given twice in chapter 5:

For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: "Seek me and live." ["Don't go to Bethel. Don't go to those golden calves. Seek me and live."] Seek the Lord and live, lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph. (5:4, 6a)
What is the answer to the wandering heart? The answer isn't just to clean up your life. It is to come back to God. It is to repent and to think again. Turn. Come back to the Lord of your salvation. Call upon him. Ask him to set you back on your feet and straighten out your life. That is the answer. That is always God's appeal. Come back into a relationship with one who loves and in patience tries to awaken us and bring us back to himself.

In other words as you're tossed to the ground don't cry uncle (Uncle Sam) Cry Abba Father!

By the way...the fence the Owl flew across is a cyclone fence.

But God chastises those he loves... He loves you...Love him back!

(Thanks Val..I don't remember about Julie)

This owl was frightened from the Plum Tree because of the mower..I actually hit some plum pits.

In Matthew Henry's Commentary on Amos 7 he talks about previous judgements in terms of the "Kings mowers" Henery's commentaries are long but here is a portion.

Amos 7:1-9

QUOTE
We here see that God bears long, but that he will not bear always, with a provoking people, both these God here showed the prophet: Thus hath the Lord God showed me, v. 1, 4, 7. He showed him what was present, foreshowed him what was to come, gave him the knowledge both of what he did and of what he designed; for the Lord God reveals his secret unto his servants the prophets, ch. 3:7.

I. We have here two instances of God’s sparing mercy, remembered in the midst of judgment, the narratives of which are so much like one another that they will be best considered together, and very considerable they are.

1. God is here coming forth against this sinful nation, first by one judgment and then by another. (1.) He begins with the judgment of famine. The prophet saw this in vision. He saw God forming grasshoppers, or locusts, and bringing them up upon the land, to eat up the fruits of it, and so to strip it of its beauty and starve its inhabitants, v. 1. God formed these grasshoppers, not only as they were his creatures (and much of the wisdom and power of God appears in the formation of minute animals, as much in the structure of an ant as of an elephant), but as they were instruments of his wrath. God is said to frame evil against a sinful people, Jer. 18:11. These grasshoppers were framed on purpose to eat up the grass of the land; and vast numbers of them were prepared accordingly. They were sent in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth, after the king’s mowings. See here how the judgment was mitigated by the mercy that went before it. God could have sent these insects to eat up the grass at the beginning of the first growth, in the spring, when the grass was most needed, was most plentiful, and was the best in its kind; but God suffered that to grow, and suffered them to gather it in; the king’s mowings were safely housed, for the king himself is served from the field (Eccl. 5:9), and could as ill be without his mowings as without any other branch of his revenues. Uzziah, who was now king of Judah, loved husbandry, 2 Chr. 26:10. But the grasshoppers were commissioned to eat up only the latter growth (the edgrew we call it in the country), the after-grass, which is of little value in comparison with the former. The mercies which God give us, and continues to us, are more numerous and more valuable than those he removes from us, which is a good reason why we should be thankful and not complain. The remembrance of the mercies of the former growth should make us submissive to the will of God when we meet with disappointments in the latter growth. The prophet, in vision, saw this judgment prevailing far. These grasshoppers ate up the grass of the land, which should have been for the cattle, which the owners must of course suffer by. Some understand this figuratively of a wasting destroying army brought upon them. In the days of Jeroboam the kingdom of Israel began to recover itself from the desolations it had been under in the former reigns (2 Ki. 14:25); the latter growth shot up, after the mowings of the kings of Syria, which we read of 2 Ki. 13:3. And then God commissioned the king of Assyria with an army of caterpillars to come upon them and lay them waste, that nation spoken of ch. 6:14, which afflicted them from the entering of Hamath to the river of the wilderness, which seems to refer to 2 Ki. 14:25, where Jeroboam is said to have restored their coast from the entering of Hamath to the sea of the plain. God can bring all to ruin when we think all is in some good measure repaired. (2.) He proceeds to the judgment of fire, to show that he has many arrows in his quiver, many ways of humbling a sinful nation (v. 4): The Lord God called to contend by fire. He contended, for God’s judgment upon a people are his controversies with them; in them he prosecutes his action against them; and his controversies are neither causeless nor groundless. He called to contend; he did by his prophets give them notice of his controversy, and drew up a declaration, setting forth the meaning of it. Or he called for his angels, or other ministers of his justice, that were to be employed in it. A fire was kindled among them, by which perhaps is meant a great drought (the heat of the sun, which should have warmed the earth, scorched it, and burnt up the roots of the grass which the locusts had eaten the spires of), or a raging fever, which was as a fire in their bones, which devoured and ate up multitudes, or lightning, fire from heaven, which consumed their houses, as Sodom and Gomorrah were consumed (ch. 4:11), or it was the burning of their cities, either by accident or by the hand of the enemy, for fire and sword used to go together; thus were the towns wasted, as the country was by the grasshoppers. This fire, which God called for, did terrible execution; it devoured the great deep, as the fire that fell from heaven on Elijah’s altar licked up the water that was in the trench. Though the water designed for the stopping and quenching of this fire was as the water of the great deep, yet it devoured it; for who, or what, can stand before a fire kindled by the wrath of God! It did eat up a part, a great part, of the cities where it was sent; or it was as the fire at Taberah, which consumed the outermost parts of the camp (Num. 11:1); when some were overthrown others were as brands plucked out of the fire. All deserved to be devoured, but it ate up only a part, for God does not stir up all his wrath.

2. The prophet goes forth to meet him in the way of his judgments, and by prayer seeks to turn away his wrath, v. 2. When he saw, in vision, what dreadful work these caterpillars made, that they had eaten up in a manner all the grass of the land (he foresaw they would do so, if suffered to go on), then he said, O Lord God! forgive, I beseech thee (v. 2); cease, I beseech thee, v. 5. He that foretold the judgment in his preaching to the people, yet deprecated it in his intercessions for them. He is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee. It was the business of prophets to pray for those to whom they prophesied, and so to make it appear that though they denounced they did not desire the woeful day. Therefore, God showed his prophets the evils coming, that they might befriend the people, not only by warning them, but by praying for them, and standing in the gap, to turn away God’s wrath, as Moses, that great prophet, often did. Now observe here,

(1.) The prophet’s prayer: O Lord God! [1.] Forgive, I beseech thee, and take away the sin, v. 2. He sees sin at the bottom of the trouble, and therefore concludes that the pardon of sin must be at the bottom of deliverance, and prays for that in the first place. Note, Whatever calamity we are under, personal or public, the forgiveness of sin is that which we should be most earnest with God for.
