Larry..when you compare what he is and what he stands for...When you listen to the speech and then compare it to Obama's deception...
His X Pastor and their disdain for our country..l can only shake my head saying my my... I was saying to Todd. "I feel like God's held him in the palm of his hand.."I know...all of us...but all of us aren't public figures...And l'll say this...Even if he doesn't win he got the honor due him last night. The majority under 50 can't identify with patriotism...it was lost after VietNam by many of us.. I marched through the streets of Seattle during the Cambodian Crisis..handing daisies to the police...but we just didn't understand a thing. Education helps. I got the truth of what this country was meant to be by watching Christian television...What they didn't teach me in school. Thank you Pat Robertson...I learned that the roots and foundation of this country were built on Godly principles...Christian principles.. If you haven't lived the era it's hard to believe and realize what this means...and that people are willing to die and be imprisoned and tortured for the idea of freedom...freedom in Christ...freedom in Christ...freedom in Christ...Bravo McCain...bravo...He gave the testimony of Jacob didn't he...how he was changed and he has the limp to prove it. Even his name bares witness to it.. Pray for McCain..I think he is still wrestling with God..I pray God give him the fullness of understanding and that our nation will receive the inspiration to fight on!...and not believe the lies of the enemy..IN JESUS NAME... THE GOD IN WHOM WE TRUST!!
I wrest with the personal need I have to be votive to the dynamics of US polittics. Being from another nation. Albeit a neighbour. For we are joined at the hip..Canada and USA. But for certain reflections of past glory, (war of 1812) I would be one of you. And I would have been in that war he was called to enjoin. I feel like I know him. I was never a prisinor of war. But I could have been. I was wandering around the middle east when he was in chains. Freinds of mine were shot down in the Suez and killed in those days. I could have been one of those. I believe, contrary to popular opinion, that the USA has a yet unfulfilled destiny. I believe the tradition of the lineage of presidential incumbents with a military background will be prolonged. Virtue of lifestyles will be the line of demarcation that reveres. Mccain has that integrity of the past that Obama can only look upon winsomely. He has the heart of the generations of America that had to stand like Bufford Pusser. "Walking Tall" and carrying a big stick. Todays under 50 inverts who "Knew not Pharoah" (to twist a phrase) think that they have no need of deliverance from bondage. Ideological terrorism has been to the door but has not suffered the death of an Egyptian. They need no Moses in this hour. As they claim. But troublesome times are upon us. And the maturity of a man who "knows the military" will be a budding rod that can still deliver by swallowing the serpents of Pharoah. There have been finest hours in the past. I believe there will be yet another. Until then the final destiny of the USA is under the hand of God. For He has adulterous children.
Larry l'm reminded of this old post about Apollo 13.
You know...Crisis...chastisement brings people to their knees. Even though this is coming for America and well deserved l still believe as you have said..

Larry l think of the good old days...I'm reminded that God chastises those he loves. I'm reminded that the chastisement might and does look something like thus:

God hasn't forgotten the good things from the heart of men he called but have lost focus.
Just like old George Bailey who wanted to see the world...
I was watching Apollo 13 again...They were predicting disaster

Reporter: So... the number 13 doesn't bother you?
Fred Haise, Sr.: Only if it's a Friday, Phil.
Reporter: Apollo 13 - lifting off at 1300 hours and 13 minutes, and, entering the moon's gravity on April 13th.
(Seven days of hell in space

NASA Director: This could be the worst disaster NASA's ever faced.
Gene Kranz: With all due respect, sir, I believe this is gonna be our finest hour.
We fall down we get...we fall down we get up..
Because he reveals his hand of mercy...even in our darkest hour.
A lot of this stuff reminds me of the numbers around 9/11.
but hearts will be different and that's what matters and what God wants.
I just couldn't help but wonder at the reality when they realized they weren't going to the moon..
they called it a successful failure.
and l wonder what it will be like for those who realize they missed the rapture.
Well..they get to work and the world prays...

This is what l see for America...The return,in humble thanksgiving..
Maybe not all but many...
