David asked me to give updates on his evacuation from New Orleans.....

He has gotten his Father and mother, wife and others out. They are currently on the road and it is slow going. At one point he said in 3 1/2 hours they only traveled 30 miles.

His Father is very weak. He is 81 and unable to walk. His Mother is also very frail. Please pray for their comfort and health.

David is very tired. He worked yesterday at getting his work equipment out of the city then came home to work on getting things from the first floor moved up to the second floor. The last hurricane did not flood thier homes, but he said that he is 75% sure his home will flood on the first floor.

I am grieved at the thought of this city flooding again. I was just there four days ago visiting David and ministering downtown on Bourbon street. There are alot of lost souls, but I have to point out that God is still working in the lives of many there. I praise God for the godly men and women who have been called to serve there. God strategically places his army.

I will give you updates as I get them for David. This brings back memories of this from three years ago.

Pray for the people there.

Lord, please keep this family safe, and I ask that their home be spared. Here are some faithful servants who appealed to all of us to show kindness by giving to others in their suffering, and now, Lord, they need your mercy for their own safety.....I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Oh Lord please protect the people from any physical harm from Gustav. We know that you are the author and perfector of life and that you have all people that are hurting this hour in your protective arms. Please give comfort to David and his family. David's wife so recently ill needs your added strength along with Davids dad. Lord please be with them all. And Lord? Please we pray that through this storm that your light shine...through this storm, souls will be saved...through this storm that good from humanity be shown. And Lord as the world watches please allow the Holy Spirit to work so that we may become givers during this hour of need. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Lord, please protect David and his family. Provide for all the people of New Orleans and I pray that this Hurricaine will weaken quickly in the name of Yeshua.

Let there be minimal damage. Show Mercy Lord and put your mighty hand over that city and state in the name of Yeshua. Amen.

Thank you for praying for one of our cities. There are many wonderful believers down in New Orleans.

New Orleans sits below sea level. And is surrounded by water. So when Hurricans come through and hit it directly on....there is a lot of trouble the people face.

There are MASSIVE flood walls that they are closing now. I just pray they hold and that mainly they will not be needed and that this Hurricane will weaken quickly.

Lord, I know that You have been merciful, and that Your Love is beyond our understanding.

I pray that You would shower David and his family, as well as our other brothers and sisters in New Orleans, with Your incredible mercy and grace in the face of this coming storm.

I pray that You would use this event to cause many to cry out to Your Son Jesus and to humble themselves at Your throne of grace. Please Lord, give strength to David and his family, to get through and give You all the glory!

UPDATE


I just heard from David. They managed to get the much needed rest by stopping at a hotel in LA on thier way to TX. All hotels were booked according to reports. David and his family needed at least 3 rooms. They prayed...... There were three rooms for them. Praise the Lord.

They just crossed over the Texas border and are still traveling.

Davids Father is doing well and so is his wife.

Please pray that God provides for all of thier needs as David will be unable to work while in refugee status.....

David said that he believes that most people will listen to the evacuation demands of the government. They learned from thier rebellion three years ago, that and the threat of imprisonment made most people leave.

Thank you from David for all of your prayers.

As promised, when I hear from him., I will share it all with you.

Dear Lord,
I ask for your mercy and provision for all of your children caught in this situation. Thank you so much for looking after David and his family. Lord, I know how it feels to be displaced and I sincerely ask you to provide miraculous provisions and strength to their bodies as well. (and thank you tremendously Lord as I prayed those underlined words, I was granted a witness of your power, thank you Lord!)

I also ask that this would be a time for all citizens of the US to contemplate their spiritual standing with you in light of these disasters.
Lord, I pray this for galaxee as well and if any others in this forum are from that area I pray for them as well.

Hello everyone, Thanks so much for your outpouring of support and love. It was an exhausting trip, 545 miles, four vehicles. We were all safe, thank God. I am moved by your prayers for me. Three years ago I met you all after I evacuated here to Tyler Texs area. I had just dreamt a dream a week prior and posted it as my 1st post when I joined. It was about the destruction of New Orleans. Here we are again. You comforted me then too. God is good.

Please pray for those who are still in harms way, including those fatigued and /or broke on the road who can't stop because there's no where to spend the night, and no money for fuel or food because crawling in snarled traffic is eating up their fuel. I'm sure many are crying and despairing over this. Many of those w/ breakdowns probably can't get repairs for any number of reasons.

I am believing that regardless of what happens, There will be much God directed work to be revealed. Please pray that I and others will be devinely led where and what to do.

David, I am praying for your family.

I am getting ready to leave for New Orleans. There is massive damage to the power infrastructure. Power is out to almost all of the city. There are 14 main transmission lines to the city and all 14 were knocked out. As of last night 1 was back on. I'm going to the house to get the chest freezer and clear out 3 refrigerators, and deal with any damage. Also, both my house and my parent's house have everything of value moved to the 2nd floors. We will have a generator, but no power otherwise.

Traffic is likely to be gridlocked, there is a 24 hour curfew, and gas stations have no power in the southern portion of the state. Baton Rouge is largely without power as well. Cities all over north Louisiana have flooded w/ enormous rainfall.

I'll be traveling through much of this. Please pray for me and others who are traveling. I particularly ask that God smoothly guide me around problems of all kinds, and provides ministry opportunities as well. I'll be calling Miche w/ updates.
