...Just for fun...
Who has captured your passionate ideals the most in the bible (besides God, of course and family)? Moses? King David? Apostle Paul, Peter, John etc...Daniel?
This isn't a popularity contest...I think we each have cords in our hearts that get rung the most by certain individuals in the bible, for whatever reasons that are personal to us. If you want to share why these people have touched you the most, go ahead and share if you want to too.
I'll wait to tell mine...fire away!

Everyone. The first one would be Christ and admire his beauty but still won't get my hopes up. Whenever i had hope it was broken into infinite pieces.

WhiteKnight....
That was a very sad comment you made. I know how that feels.
But I believe that with Yeshua.....He will never fail or disappoint. God is not like humans are.
They are quick to judge and quick to anger and quick to want to punish others. Not the Lord. Everything He always taught went against that mentality.
When He said He loved you.....He ment it.
There are so many that I would like to meet in heaven. After I spend some time with Yeshua and speak to Moses and David and Paul (I have a lot of questions for him because I think he was tad bit too harsh at times) and John and Peter (I like Peter) all of the disciples really.... then I can look for the ones that I also love....family, friends, (including some dear internet friends).

Ruth is who I would like to sit down and speak with.
"But Ruth replied, "don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God."
Ruth 1: 16
Ruth after loosing her own husband offers comfort and guidance to Naomi. Naomi who lost everything and had this deep seething bitterness inside of her. Naomi who was bitter and just wanted to isolate herself away from civilization so that she could die. But Ruth seeing deeply inside Naomi's heart saw the deep cuts of hurt on her heart. Only people that truly love can go beyond the bitterness and see the person...the person behind the bitterness.
Ruth such a faithful and loyal daughter in law. Ruth was willing to change her culture and her god for Naomi. And Ruth was willing to embark on a dangerous journey in order to reach Naomi's land. Two women traveling dark and dusty roads alone...not safe, not safe at all. But our Lord protected and escorted these two women to another land. The book of Ruth is a love story.

I have so many questions? Yet darn I can't think of any right now.
But it's gonna be great!

(((WhiteKnight)))...
Your hopelessness sounds a lot like what I've gone thru...when I feel hopeless one of the hugest comforts to me is the story of Joseph. A suggestion?...re-read that story and imagine what depths God can bring you from...to turn things around and give you more than you ever dreamed or hoped for because He IS life, and life more abundantly.
God bless you,

What a thoughtful response Al!
Yes, Ruth is such a beautiful example in the bible. That story has touched me many times and I love the romantic-ness of it all too. I love those words she used..."your people shall be my people, and your God shall be my God...wherever you go, I will follow"...just makes tears come to your eyes, don't it?

Ok, I'm ready to spill my beans...
After God and family...
Although I'd like to meet all those listed in the bible...the ones I'd like to meet foremost would be first, Joseph because his life story has given me so much inspiration through dark times and stirred up my hope like no other story.
Second, the Apostle John because it was his testimony about leaning upon the busom of the Lord as well as he was the one whom Jesus loved...his words also reflect love greatly...and his discernment was unique.
King David because God gave the testimony of him that he was a man after God's own heart...which I greatly admire...including his lifestory which has touched me more ways than one...especially his life of obedience.
God bless you all,
Kim

Replying to Who Do You Want To Meet In Heaven Most?
The ones I thought would not make it. A lot of folks think a lot of other folks will not make it. What is the passing grade to make it?

Answer: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Question, is not the water the same as the Holy Spirit? That would mean we are born of the Spirit twice?

It is hard to choose i'd like to have a conversation with them all i have alot of questions for them but for now I guess i'll pick, Deborah because she was a strong woman in a time when men had more power socially. and Melkizedeck(i don't know how to spell it

) because there is such a mystery about him I'd like to know more.

I would personally like to chat with Mary Magdalene about her perception on devotion to Christ... and then with Joseph of Genesis; I'd like to ask him how did he build the Great Pyramid of Giza? Followed by Moses and Ezekiel. And if there was time Elijah. Would this be at a dinner buffet?

I'd have to say Moses. Because he is mentioned more often in the New Testament than any other Old Testament figure and is a symbol of God's law.

David, because then I could ask him how big Goliath really was. Actually, it would probably be the Apostle Paul, Jeremiah, Elijah, and Daniel, basically in that order. They all seemed very passionate for God and His truth, though Daniel was a little more "laid-back" than the others, of course.

Elijah.........I want to discuss with him what it was like for him when he was taken away....
Days Of Elijah
These are the days of Elijah,
Declaring the word of the Lord:
And these are the days of Your servant Moses,
Righteousness being restored.
And though these are days of great trial,
Of famine and darkness and sword,
Still, we are the voice in the desert crying
'Prepare ye the way of the Lord!'
Behold He comes riding on the clouds,
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call;
Lift your voice, it's the year of jubilee,
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes.
These are the days of Ezekiel,
The dry bones becoming as flesh;
And these are the days of Your servant David,
Rebuilding a temple of praise.
These are the days of the harvest,
The fields are as white in Your world,
And we are the labourers in Your vineyard,
Declaring the word of the Lord!
There's no God like Jehovah.
There's no God like Jehovah!

After meeting God, and learning all the things I can't even imagine now, I'd love to talk to Jeremiah, and find out how he felt as a prophet. Constantly trying to help Israel, but they never failed to ignore him. There are so many people I want to meet...
