Is the state interfering with religious freedom or is religious freedom going too far?

This reminds me of a dream I had a long time ago...

I went to a church. It seemed so friendly when I went in, but shortly after
arriving I observed that the people were starting to swell up. It was frightening.
They tried to come out of their chairs and came into the entrance of the
sanctuary...barely able to move because of the swollen bodies meshed
together...the were smiling at first and as they started to swell up they got
angry and I could see them gnashing teeth.

I went to leave this place and encountered people at the front door unable to get out. It startled me as saw them cower back in the corners...when I looked toward the door I saw a huge snake. It towered up to the ceiling and blocked the door.

I ran toward it and grabbed it by the neck and finally was able to toss it out
the door. The people that gathered there were able to get out safely.

When I woke up in the morning I had two purple bruises and like indention
marks on my forearm. I realized what it meant. God sets the captives free.

Blessings,

I don't understand why does the pastor need snakes for?. Especially this very lethal snakes.

For some reasons. When someone mentions or speak of them i get "strange emotion". Don't know why.

it is a focus on one particular verse that the adversary relishes in causing
the people of God to conform to...

this is an extreme one...

yet, there are many more extreme than this...

it touches the flesh of man to ascribe God to his power and lust...

QUOTE
Handling snakes is practiced in a handful of fundamentalist churches across Appalachia, based on the interpretation of Bible verses saying true believers can take up serpents without being harmed. The practice is illegal in most states, including Kentucky.

Either this is one of the deluded hillbillies, or a satanic priest in disguise.
Either way, the insanity in the USA knows no limits.

But why do we feel the need to test the faithfulness of God? Couldn't this need to test be considered a lack of faith?

Gods Blessings,

Al

do we know what time it is...this has been going on for a long time. many
people think this is back woods...i live on the west coast and know that there
are many like this...and as a child advocate i have seen many so called
christian religious spirits control lives and destroy them.

i came to God for these children...and call out for them around the world.

signet did you ask for rain for California?
signet
hi, you. why do you ask?

i went to the sea...and stood in it. i asked for forgiveness.

i prayed for justice and mercy.

in my heart i wanted total justice...but a voice inside says i am
asking for mercy...that is why i went. if rain is mercy then, yes.
at this point they are the same...

O, sweet Jesus.

I agree with a quote from the article....."A venomous snake isn't a pet. You don't play with it. If you do, you're an idiot."

Harsh words but very true. These people and the one leading them are not understanding scripture...to their detriment. The subject being discussed is....Christ is reprimanding the eleven disciples and telling them to become apostles and take His Word to "evey creature." In doing this He is telling them the signs they will experience and the power they will have. One of which is.....

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

Those spreading His Word will be able to "take up serpents" - take up children of The Serpent, Satan. They can drink the serpent's poison...his twisted, vile deception of God's Word and...it shall not hurt them. It won't hurt them because they know the truth.

To answer your question....religious freedom in this case is not of God and it harms His children. People are free to do what they wish but they should ask themselves...how does this honor our Father? If it doesn't honor Him then just what father does it honor?

Don't play with snakes!
