As forecasters take that possibility more seriously, they describe fundamental shifts in the way we work, where we live and how we spend our free time.

Peak oil may soon be a reality. All society requires oil for far more than gasoline products. It could mean the end of life as we know it at a future date. It could mean war for the right to claim the remaining balance of resourses. It could mean world wide financial calamity as nations struggle with high prices brought on by manufacturing and delivery costs and transportation of goods, services and people...It could be the catalyst for prophetic end time fulfilment...

It will all be a window of time that brings about ultimate good, say what? Is that not what the upshot of climactic prophesied times is meant to bring in?

I will clarify then

wonderful, more bad news = more waiting.

I hate waiting. I'd rather cut through the Gordian knot

and to add to the bad news.. my husband mentioned last night that he heard yesterday that
home heating oil has gone up 40% .. (that's what we use) .. and if that isn't bad enought,
gas (for home heat) has gone up 70%.. (that's what our children and our parents use in their homes)

and it's NOT even winter yet!

my first thought is to panic at the thought of it all.. but then the Lord gently reminds me who
holds tomorrow in HIS hand smile.gif

i do believe we are living in fearful times.. and things are going to get worse before they get better, eh?

ah ha! found the article hubby was speaking of..

A terrible June finally ends

geeee... a terrible june ends? what's that mean for the days ahead..

anyways.. about 1/4 of the way down is a chart titled Energy prices -- New York close

take a lQQk at the YTD chg (year to date change) .. *shaking head*

How did they get around in China before the car was invented?
But you see, the Chinese didn't invent the car.
The Horse and Buggy gave people the idea and Henry Ford perfected it along with mass production which gave the North the edge against the South in the Civil War.
It is world addiction that WILL cause mass extinction of all things.
Now, how is oil made in the earth?
After you answer that answer 'What have we been doing with all of the mass culling of livestock and chicken and all?'
What about the mass graves during the Holocaust?

I live in the land of natural gas supply and we use it for our severe winters here et all...it has doubled in price....and gas is $131.9 a liter just now...that is $5.94 an imperial gallon..some what less to USA conversion...but certainly far more than USA pays as the top there was announced as $4 a gallon...

I have a good idea...if the nations turn from producing their instruments of war... beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks they would not spend anything on war and the financial resources could be averaged out across society and we could all afford the (remaining) gas...and they could spend that money on learning new ways to attain power from the sun and it would be clean power and free....solar energy is most surely going to be the way we go in hi tech millenial life...

That's what keeps the Pope in power. We will not stop learning war.
