Diplomats troubled at prosecutor's report alleging scale of Darfur crimes
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
UNITED NATIONS
The UN chief expressed deep concern at Sudan's reported lack of cooperation with the International Criminal Court. Costa Rica's foreign minister warned that Khartoum is "toying" with the United Nations.
Strong words were exchanged Thursday over prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo's semi-annual report to the Security Council.
"The entire Darfur region is a crime scene. Despite promises and denials, over the last five years, millions of civilians have been targeted by officials who vowed to protect them. Impunity reigns," the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court told rapt council members.
He promised to present evidence next month to a pretrial chamber of the court in The Hague, Netherlands.

For years Darfur is on topic but no one cared to do anything. It is all talks but no progress. Darfur is dying.

Another example indeed of the failure and bankruptcy of the U.N.
What some call the royal way of diplomacy, is actually the self-indulged world of diplomats who basically are woosies without vision or courage, the very two ingredients needed to SOLVE problems. Or should Joshua have sent diplomats instead of taking Jericho?

UN agencies predict grim year ahead for Darfur
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
KHARTOUM, Sudan
A combination of insecurity, a bad harvest, weak rainy season and rising world food prices foretell a particularly bad year for the population of Darfur, according to UN agencies operating in the war-torn region.
About 2.5 million Darfuris have been displaced by the four-year conflict and up to 300,000 killed, when ethnic African rebels took up arms against the central government.
Since May, the World Food Program halved its food ration to nearly 3 million people in Darfur because of attacks on its convoys. Two WFP trucks were hijacked Sunday, bringing the total to 83 since January.
Several UN agencies Sunday warned of a spike in malnutrition, and other long term effects if security and access are not improved.

You call that a prediction? It is a self made disaster U.N. because of your sleepy woosie lethargy!
I then predict that you will never lift a finger to solve it. But you still expect the citizens of the world to have FAITH in you? Take a hike.
My Faith is in God!
