Question: Due to situations like the "Yearning for Zion" being brought to trial, a psychologist thinks their system of belief obedience is abusive and authoritiarian....doesn't stand to reason that since all Christian belief is authoritiarian due to a belief in GOD and male to female high archy with GOD at the top, and which emphasizes submission and obedience as well, that all pyschologists would leap to the conculsion that Christianity itself is an "abusive" belief system? Although if the allegations of abuse prove true, or even false, doesn't seem like 'experts' and the state have siezed the opportunity to label faith in GOD as an "abusive" belief system rather than looking for physical evidence?

their is a topic on this forum i think if you do some searching you wil find the article to what hapend in colorado


i have done a fair bit of my own re search on this sect and what they hold onto and i can honestly say that women was brave for making that call to family services and i hope that they do not give those kids that are in their care know back to their parents

i work is such an orginisation were we have kids like this in our care we work close with department off community services and we have shift workers on cal 24/ 7


their is a group of women youth workers based around colorado that reach out to these young girls who are married of to the older men this is a throw of group as mormans are aware of these groups and they them selves have tried to reach out from with in but its hard as this throw of group states its the real later day saints church and they follow joseph smiths teachings to the letter


they have disclossed them selves from the other mormans who have seen that its wrong to hold on to his teachings and they do not believe in polygomy marraiges the lsd has camps around colorado with their own police force and mayors i saw this on 60 min and these men a fulley armed and have all the latest gear to prottect the lsd and their familys

young men are forced to leav their familys as the young men are seen as a threat i have read up on sevral cases comming up know in the courts were sevral young men have oppened up to the social workers that took the time to get to know these young men

this cult sticks to its self just like the excluded brethren the reason i have done a fair bit off digging is our church has reached out to sevral mormans we do not shut our selves off but we let them know were we stand when it comes to the bible



they have their own version and it states that a prophet who is ellected is alowed to have as many wifes as he wants and if that prophet sees some one as a threat he has the right to remove that man from their midst that means he can take on his wifes and add them into his clan the women will stick with the clan they will never go with the husband




the young girls have no say when it comes to the prophet who is ellected he has the right to alocate young girls with in the cult and if a member shows intrest in any of the young girls with in this cult all he has to do is speak up and he will be given permission to mary the young girl

Religon defines the issue


the diffrence between a polygomist and the follower of an alternative life style if often religon in addition to prottecting privacy the constitution is supposed to prottect the free exercise of religon unless the religous practice injures a third party or cause some public danger

I was raised and worked in San Angelo most of my life, 40 miles from the recent YFZ establishment. The people in Eldorado are good, God fearing, normal people. The YFZ bunch allows for 50 year old men to have sex with teenage girls. I trust the state on this one. I know the judge and many of the state players in this situation.
