Then you could say that about anybody Marcus. I don't think Agabus was a false prophet because he wasn't exactly accurate. Paul did what he wanted or felt led to do regardless.
Kim Clement???I don't know...But l'm not going to lay the axe to the root just because l don't know. God certainly is using this vessel whether we understand it or not. And vessels are used for all kinds of things.
Let's watch our words so we don't have to eat them later.

The following letter was emailed to us on February 7, 2002 by Chris A. Kissell.
To our dearest friends and horse lovers;
Banjo passed away today after many years with us. We will miss him greatly.
Banjo lived gentleman's life during his years on the farm. No riders, No wagons, Just plain NO WORK period. Waking when he chose. Eating breakfast, lunch and dinner at his leisure.
During his last few years his arthritis became very bad. He found that sitting on the fence relieved a lot of the pain in his hips. He soon became a local attraction that within a short time spread to the point that people were coming to see him from Delaware and New Jersey.
An anonymous person would leave Banjo a basket of fruit each Christmas and for his birthday they would tie a bundle of balloons to the fence next to his information placard and leave an additional basket of fruit and vegetables. We never found out who this fantastic person was but if he reads this we all hope that he knows just how much his kindness meant to use and to Banjo.
Banjo is buried on the farm next to his favorite drinking spot on the pond.
The Kissell's at Hickory Hill Farm wish to express their sincere appreciation to all of the people who took the time from their busy lives to stop buy and see "THE FENCE SITTING HORSE, BANJO"

, perfect picture to make your point. But, I am right there with you sitting on the fence. Although, my biggest problem is when they (profits) give a specific date and then it doens't come to pass
. What are we to do with those who are shown to be sometimes right but not always right in their prophecy? Are they sometimes hearing from God and other times only half listening or is it themselves that they are hearing? I don't want to judge that is not my job but God's. But if I were to be asked for a yes or no answer concerning this prophet, KC, I would be on the side of fence that is more the not side

I have been reading this post and thank everyone for the many hours of thought and personal decissions.
I would like to add that our own ADSTAR is having this very same trouble in another thread and I will try to find him and see if he will read through it too. He is dealing with a Morman who, uniquesly for any Morman I know I assure you, says the bible is not always correct in that prophets spoke words that did not come to pass.
I will find him if I can and perhaps it will interest him to read this section.

Coming back to Agabus ........
he says that the Jews will bind Paul and deliver him to the Gentiles .
Overall isn't that exactly what happens ?
Firstly paul gets co-opted into a Nazarite vow ................this may be a trap that was deliberately set so that they knew where he was , in the temple .
But leaving that aside , overall the Jews do deliver Paul to the Gentiles .
Whether it is inadvertant or deliberate is neither here nor there , through their machinations and CIVIL DISTURBANCE they bring the Roman Authorities into play , thereby effectively delivering Paul up to them .
As for the binding of his hands and feet . Although there is no mention of binding in the Acts 22 , when we get to Acts 23 and Claudius Lysias' written report of the event , he tells the governor Felix :
' whom I perceived to be accused of questions of their Law , but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of death or of bonds '
That is an ambiguous statement , but could CERTAINLY mean that the Jews had bound Paul prior to attempting to kill him .
WARNING : Don't jump to assumptions about what is 'New Testament ' prophecy based on one event , dubiously interpreted .............

I agree but it's just food for thought.
And bz...i don't idealize Kim like l feel your implying. I'm just being careful until and if the Lord brings him down. And if we pray maybe God can use him in a great (er) way?

IF Kim is in God's will and he's prophesying to the President of the USA....what kind of attack might he be under hummmm?
Here's another thought about banjo the horse and the life he lives (This is just for you bz) And many fence sitters will see themselves in this...

NO WORK period...Just sitting on the pew not making waves...getting hardened in our old age. No since jumping into the ring just sit on the fence...It's a lot easier that way.
I'm not chastising myself for this because l know that some have a long tongue that slips down between the wheat and wants to wrap it's self around a tare. The trouble is their roots go far and deep and are intermingled with all around them.
So if you take that tongue and wrench the tare you're going to get others with it. And it isn't just that one...they're everywhere! God doesn't want us messing with the harvest. He's going to do it...That's all. We come back to the balance in telling. You can speak the truth and others will follow. The Holy Spirit will put a check in those that belong to him.

Yes, there is that balance. Each of us must decide out part in what to say or not to say. Some are called to expose. Some think they are called. There's the problem.
But that verse about the wheat and the tares is so very important for us to remember. Better to preach principles than call out names --- unless God has truly told one to do that. And by the fruit of many it is evident that most of those that go about exposing others are not being led by the Spirit of God, but of pride. May God give us all wisdom to know the difference.

P.s., I am not saying that I should have said what I did about Kim in this opening post. I just don't know. But it is done and it seems the conversations that it has stirred have been helpful in helping people sort out the truth for themselves --- not just because I said this or that.

I was awake very early one morning, about 4am. My time. I was watching TV and stopped on TBN where Kim C. was doing his thing. He stood up and referred to preachers who wear a suit and stand behind the Pulpits of America as "Tight Butt ministers"...Come on!! Would Jesus call his Long time, hard working men of God who have dedicated sometimes most of their lives, Who get woke up in the middle of the night for someone needing prayer or just encouraging words, who also visits the sick in the hospital, and still have a good message prepared for us 3 times a week and still have a SANE mind after hearing so many church people fuss between themselves...Would Jesus CALL HIM a TIGHT BUTT Preacher?? I think Not!

I Admire that about you, you want him to do good and to see truth..
Even if he as been wrong, which he has. God will forgive him, if he seeks forgiveness because of the False prophecies.

Going back to Agabus .
Paul actually completely corroborates Agabus' prophesy in his speech to the Jews in Rome , doesn't he ?
Act 28:17 And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men [and] brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.

The parable of the Wheat and The Tares is found in Matthew 13 .
There are lots of interesting facets to this Parable , and I wondered what other people think .
I know that Tares IMITATE Wheat , and look all the world like the real Mccoy ...... its a salient lesson .
Seems like only Angels can discern the difference .

Also wondered if there's a resolution to a 'post-modern' problem in the story .
There was a big discussion about Bible Versions some time back ,and I wonder if the answer lies in this parable .
If we see seed as the Word , as per the preceeding parable , all the confusion about conflicting translations , adulterations etc is easily resolved .
Yes the Perfect Word has been corrupted , ( and we know Angels desire to look into the Word ) , and the Angels can see it , but a 'bad' Bible is better than no Bible at all .

God refers to laugh at calamity in the Psalms l think...Don't know the scripture off hand..maybe it's Amos? Because they laughed he laughed. Judged as you judged.

In everything God says...HIS words Never fail. They are RIGHT 100% ALL the time. NOT 45%, not even 99%. When GOD Uses someone to speak On his Behalf, It will be 100% accurate...On the Other hand, Satan Has been around on this earth for a long time...It only makes sense that the devils will try to predict things that May or May not happen. The devils been around a lot longer than we have. So why wouldn't unclean spirits have a good Idea about what's going on here around earth? They know Gods word better than some Christians who Never read it, they know they can deceive many and cause confusion.... satan comes to Kill, Steal, and Destroy so he would love to through the False Profits (Steal GODS Glory) (Kill our Joy and Blame God) (Destroy our Souls for eternity.)...NOW is the Time like Never before to Pray for Discernment and to Never let The Enemy deceive us. We need to teach this to our Children because it Looks like they are Gonna Need our Spiritual guidance More So in this Generation than any in a Long time..

Hi, I am new to the list and I look forward to the discussions.
I would like to say something about Kim Clement.
The first thing that came into my mind (and I believe through the Spirit) is we should act as David acted when Saul tried to kill him, we should say nothing bad about his servant. David refused to say anything against Saul.
Not because Saul was right but because he was at one time anointed by God.
I believe that is what God is saying about K.C.
Judge the prophecy by its accuracy and by the word.
I hope I didnt offend anyone, but I wanted to share what I felt God drop into my heart when I started questioning.

I love that about David and how God's character was revealed in him. Also the fact that he had a chance to kill him (Saul) and didn't.
Have you ever had the opportunity to crush an enemy that's been on on your case unjustly?
Or maybe even a brother that's envious and has made you appear before others to be something you are not. Or someone in authority over you? Oh my...I did...and l passed the test thank God...but with bitter tears. I'm so glad l didn't know God was testing me....

Much to be learned in this concept. God will honour and promote you above your fellows for touching not His anointed. If there is error it is not up to "me" to correct "you."

Hence, I do not think the verse about touching God's annointed applies to false prophecies and prophets. I am not saying Kim is one thing or the other, I am simply saying that many a false prophet has hid himself behind that verse without warrant. David exposed Saul to his son Johnathan and to those that were with him that Saul was walking after falsehood. However, it was Saul's death that David refused to take into his own hands. And I certainly agree that we are not to put to death any man for religious crimes. But I would remind everyone that Jesus is our example, and He by no means spared false teachers, but exposed them to the repeated shock of His own disciples! "Don't you know that you offended them?"
So what is the balance?
Only expose publically if the sin is public. For once it is public others must know the error otherwise it will be passed on further to the ruin of the hearers.
It is not about personalities and feelings, it is about defending the faith once and for all passed down to the saints.
Not meaning knit-picky things, and 'weaning out knats and swallowing camels'! But things that truly matter. And we know what truly matters as we 'grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ'.

That is very good Cornelius, we each have a function in the body of Christ. I learned a important view from someone once. We all see through a "grid".....we see from "our" side of the grid. If I held my hand up to you....with my palm facing me....you would see the back of my hand and describe it.....but that is not what I see.....I see the palm of my hand....as I would describe it.....Are you wrong in what you see? No. You see from your point of view...Am I wrong in what I describe to you? No. I see from my point of view. This whole thing is very interesting to me and think most people would like to know what the future holds for them and their countries (but only God's knows the future for sure..and we must put on our faith and step off into who knows where...and pray that God will help us through these LAST DAYS...if Kim is a brother who's in error we need to pray for him. If he is not a brother...God will deal with him. I have seen Kim on TV...and I too would like to say, "Amen"....but I wait to see. What are you chances of being correct 50/50. Yes we are all vunerable...we all make mistakes...we all sin ( I repent everyday....I'm getting better but not where I'd like to be) Kim may have started out doing God's work...I don't know. I have seen that kind of thing happen with leaders and ministries. When they become full of themselves....and believe their own press....heads swell....and bubbles burst.....and Christian leaders and ministries sink. What happen? Satan found the weakest link in the armour...and burrowed in...and made a stronghold....
I had 15 minutes of fame or more once....it was scary.....I had to give my view on some things....and the Lord spoke to my heart and said, "Becareful what you say for many will take what you say to heart. For they are looking up to you." Fear filled within me....why? Because I was center stage...people were looking at me for answers. I was a Christian and I knew I would offend some important people. I hated to be standing by myself all the time...being the odd one out all the time. Thought of as being weird. I spoke out 40 years before my time on what was coming down on the church and up on Christians. At that time very few people new what the New Age was...some never herad of it....others didn't care. I spoke of things that people did not want to hear, but was the truth. When you've come out of the Occult your eyes are sharp like an egale...For the Lord has aloud you to see things other have not and can spot many things before the average Christian can spot those dangers. That day of my fifteen minutes of fame I told them how I saw things from my point of view.....and etc. I was as honest as I could be from my heart....and I did offend some important peoplel who could make things rough for me...and they did. But on the inside I was standing up with Jesus and I was smiling the whole time except for my knees a knocking standing in front of a huge crowd. It is a heavy buden to be center stage.....to speak from the heart. I don't know that much.....but I do know this Satan would like to get a few of you going at each other.....taking sides....and crash this whole site.
So agree to disagree....either way God will bring it to light. A new born in Christ won't sink....or drown....get confussed for awhile maybe but the Lord will show him or her the way. As for us...on this forum we need to feel free to state our case....but also know that it is OUR case....our words are not written in stone.....only God's is. I happen to believe in the gift of prophecy....but one must look with discerment....I am always open to God moving among his people. And right now I think God is speaking to us ALL though natural disastors and world events and even this forum

I think l saw something different about itching ears...We want to hear things because we don't want to face something.
Repentance is hard. It upsets the horse cart.
It's hard to be wrong
because you have to start all over again.
Some people find it difficult to start from scratch. Those people are the foundation builders. Some people flip flop all over the place so they can make changes like they change cloths but other are serious about beliefs.
I'm thinking those same people (foundation builders) need to be helped not judged. Reconstruction...How can one change in the midst of brokeness?
I feel very sorry and sad about this. This country is headed down that road. But don't jump on the wounded animal to quick. God's not done.
It was funny to reread the string. I feel sorry for people...l can't help it. l know what it's like to be wrong.
Some are vile towards those wrong. They can't wait to say l told you so and slam scripture...Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Shekel is right. Those in the public eye need to be held more accountable.
I'm sorry for the church and the division...I'm just sorry for it.
