As you can see, I believe that John's rev' refers to our time.
And it's all about Jerusalem and faith.
Well, here is my interpretation to John's rev':
1. 666 - the number of the beast, the number of a man.
Arabs don't have sir names (family names) and you able to distinguish a single person by his son's, him selves, his father's and his grandfather's names
The name of Muhammad therefore is: (abu-father of) El Kasem, Muhammad, (Iben- son of) Abdullah, (Iben- son of) Abed El Mutaleb.
In Hebrew the name is: אל קאסם, מוחמד, עבדאללה, עבד אל מוטלב and equals 666 in Hebrew gematria.
2. The dragon is Ishmael.
Right before Sarah getting pregnant by miracle with Isaac (the father of the Jewish and the Christens, by the Jewish tradition) Ishmael was born.
3. The woman
The woman is a city - the hub of earth, the connection point to GOD.
In ancient time it was Babel or Ur Kasdim, and after Sarah got pregnant the hub moved to Jerusalem (The Foundation Stone at the Dome of the Rock )
17 : 3 " So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns."
In the prophecy, the woman sits on the beast. But in real life, the beast sits on the woman. According to the line of thinking I started before, the offspring of Ishmael sits in Jerusalem.
17 : 4 "And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:"

The seven heads.
As we can see in the prophecy, the beast (Islam) has 7 heads, exactly like the dragon, and the dragon (Ishmael's offspring) gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority... (John's rev' 13:2 ).
Therefore, the beast in John's rev 17, is the first Moslems, Ishmael's offspring.
17 : 9 "And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. 10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space."
"five are fallen" - 5 Ishmaelite Moslems kingdoms/rulers how sit in Jerusalem (chronologically ) :
* Umar ibn al-Khattāb (638 AC)
* Saladin/ Salah al-Dīn Yusuf ibn Ayyub (1187 AC)
* Egypt (1247 AC)
* Mamluk (1260 AC)
* Ottoman Empire (1517 AC)
" and one is" – Jordan (1948). Although Jerusalem is the capital city of Israel , the Waqf is the governor of the Temple Mount. And the waqf is being dominated by Jordan.

In John's rev' 13:

The 1st head - Umar ibn al-Khattāb , after +- 400 years of Moslem reign was defeated by the crusaders. It was a great defeat for the Islam.
After 88 years of crusaders reign over Jerusalem, the second head of the beast - Salah al-Dīn defeat the crusaders and bring the Islam beck to glory (1187).
" 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. "
After Salah al-Dīn the Islam is rising up, and people who are not from Ishmael's offspring becoming Moslems: Mongols Asians Indians European etc.
*And then appears another beast – the Moslems who are not from Ishmael's offspring (Ishmael's offspring = the dragon).
"11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,"
