rather interesting...

if this temple replica is planned to be full scale, wouldn't that be a perfect setting for doing sacrifice "demonstrations"....? i wonder if if it could be pushed further than that... its not hard to go from educational demonstrations to the real thing....

or am i letting it seem too simple?

Yes, a "museum replica temple" would be the perfect place to house "temple implements" (for show of course ), have "mock shows" of temple services, and for sacrifice "demonstrations". Perhaps Israel is finally learning how the game is played with her muslim neighbors...

BOSTON—British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, in his first foreign policy address in the United States, called on the U.S. and Europe on Friday to lead a new era of global "interdependence" aimed at solving international problems such as terrorism, poverty and climate change.

more stories like this"We urgently need to step out of the mindset of competing interests and instead find our common interests, and we must summon up the best instincts and efforts of humanity in a cooperative effort to build new international rules and institutions for the new global era," Brown said in a speech to about 350 invited guests at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.

Brown cited Kennedy's Independence Day speech in 1962, when the president proposed a "new and global declaration of interdependence." Brown said Kennedy's call for public service "still reverberates around the world and always will."

Noting Kennedy's creation of the Peace Corps, Brown called for the creation of "a new kind of global peace and reconstruction corps," which he described as an organization of trained civilian experts available any time to rebuild states.

Brown also talked about U.S. leadership following World War II, include the Marshall Plan that funneled millions in economic aid and technical assistance to help rebuild Europe.

"We must summon inspiration from the vision, humanity and leadership shown by those reformers to guide our actions today," he said.

Brown reiterated his call for reform of the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and United Nations to give emerging countries such as China, India and Brazil more say in the international institutions.

He called on the World Bank to intensify programs to reduce poverty and said the institution should become a bank for both development and the environment by transferring billions in loans and grants to encourage the poorest countries to adopt alternative sources of energy.

The British leader, who has set a mandatory target in the U.K. to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 60 percent by 2050, insisted that a new global pact on reducing carbon emission must be agreed on by the end of 2009.

He said the deal, which would replace the Kyoto Protocol that was rejected by the U.S. and expires in 2012, should be led by the United Nations and needs to set binding targets for all developed countries.

Brown, who has overseen some U.K. troop withdrawals in Iraq and sought to soothe public anger in Britain over the unpopular war, did not mention Iraq directly. But he insisted he would support future military action to intervene in failing states.

He praised President Bush for leading the world in an attempt to root out terrorism and "our common commitment that there be no safe haven for terrorists."

Brown said the United States and Europe should act as "hardheaded internationalists," and use "diplomatic, economic, and yes, when necessary military action -- to prevent crimes against humanity when states can no longer do so."

Collapse of Gazan aid distribution just hours away

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees warned that aid distribution would end in the Gaza Strip on Thursday unless Israel allows new fuel supplies, but Israel blamed Hamas for the shortages.

"Today's is our last day of stocks. This will be the last day for our food distribution since we have no more fuel to continue," an official of the UN Relief and Works Agency said.

UN officials said UNRWA and the World Food Programme, who together feed more than one million Gazans, would have to suspend aid distribution until they receive diesel for the trucks that deliver the food.

Israel, which maintains a punishing blockade on the impoverished Palestinian territory, claimed Hamas was preventing distribution of one million litres of fuel (264,000 gallons) delivered about a week ago to the Nahal Oz terminal on the Gaza border.

"Hamas has prevented the use of this fuel, notably for humanitarian use," said foreign ministry spokesman Arye Mekel.

Israel accuses Hamas of fabricating fuel crisis in Gaza Strip
http://haaretz.com/hasen/spages/977733.html

Israel on Thursday accused Hamas of causing a "fabricated fuel crisis" by refusing to collect and distribute the one million liters of fuel Israel has delivered to the salient.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said Wednesday that "there is currently no fuel available in the Gaza Strip on the open markets" and as a result the organization would be forced to halt food assistance to 650,000 refugees in the enclave.

However, Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel said Thursday that the million liters of fuel that Israel transferred to the Gaza Strip three weeks ago are still waiting to be collected on the Palestinian side of the Nahal Oz fuel terminal.

"Hamas can take the fuel but doesn't," he charged, accusing the Islamist organization of deliberately wanting to claim there is a crisis in the Strip.

Residents of the Strip said Hamas officials have taken fuel for their own purposes and given it to high-ranking officials, governmental employees and its own students, but failed to distribute the remainder to the population at large.

Lebanese army fires at Israeli jets violating its airspace

Apr 23, 2008, 10:47 GMT

Beirut - Lebanese troops opened fire Wednesday on Israeli warplanes flying low over southern Lebanon, but no hits were reported, Lebanese officials said.

Soldiers opened fire with machine guns and light anti-aircraft weapons mounted on armoured vehicles at two planes that flew by just east of Marjayoun town near the border at mid-morning, a Lebanese security official said.

'The Lebanese army's ground anti-aircraft guns confronted the hostile Israeli aircraft during its violation of Lebanese airspace over the regions of Marjayoun and Bint Jbeil, forcing it to leave the area,' the army said in a statement.

Israeli warplanes frequently fly over Lebanese airspace in what Israel says are reconnaissance missions.

Wednesday's incident was not the first time that the Lebanese army has fired on the aircraft since an August 14, 2006 ceasefire ended a month-long war between Israeli and Hezbollah guerrillas.

The deployment of about 15,000 Lebanese troops in the south along with some 13,000 United Nations peacekeepers after the UN-brokered ceasefire has not stopped the flyovers despite the UN describing them as a violation of Lebanese sovereignty.

Lebanon has reported an increasing number of overflights in recent months and the incident Wednesday was seen to signal the country's growing impatience with Israel and the inability of the UN to prevent such overflights despite frequent complaints.

Haniyeh: Ceasefire must include West Bank

As Egypt awaits Hamas' response to offer for truce with Israel, group leader hardens positions

Ali Waked and AFP Published: 04.23.08, 14:53 / Israel News

A day before delivering Hamas' officially response to the Egyptian ceasefire offer, group leader Ismail Haniyeh hardened his positions Wednesday.

Speaking in Gaza, Haniyeh said that should a truce be reached with Israel, it would bind the parties both in the Strip and in the West Bank. The talks mediated by Egypt currently focus on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip only, as a first stage.

Israeli officials have strongly rejected a truce with Hamas in the West Bank at this stage. A Hamas delegation headed by Dr. Mahmoud al-Zahar and Said Siam recently returned to Egypt following a two-day visit to Damascus, where they met with the movement's leadership.

Egypt is awaiting Hamas' response to the truce offer. Should the answer be positive, Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman will visit Israel next week.

According to Haniyeh, "The truce, should it be accepted by Israel, must be reciprocal and comprehensive – both in Gaza and in the West Bank. The mechanism for implementing the ceasefire depends on halting the aggression, lifting the blockade and opening the crossings. The ball is now in Israel's court."

Haniyeh reiterated remarks made Monday by Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal, stressing that his movement would not recognize Israel.

Speaking at the reopening ceremony of a children's hospital in Gaza, Haniyeh said that Hamas is ready to recognize a diplomatic agreement to establish a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital, which would include the refugees' return."

Meanwhile Wednesday, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad al-Malki said that "a ceasefire in Gaza will be declared very soon. We are very close to calling a truce which will cease the rocket fire on Israel, the Israeli strikes and the Gaza siege."

Russia to Israel: Did You Supply Georgia with UAVs?

(IsraelNN.com) Russia asked Israel last week whether it had supplied Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to Georgia, for it to use in military operations against secessionists from Abkhazia.

An Israeli security source confirmed that the UAVs being used by Georgia are manufactured by Israeli firm Elbit. A diplomatic source in Jerusalem said that the Russians did not have proof of this, however, and that the request for clarifications was based on suspicions. He added that Israel does not sell any attack weapons to countries that border with Russia and only sells them defensive equipment.

Georgia accused Russia of using a MiG-29 to shoot down one of its UAVs over Abkhazia and produced a video to back up its claim. The video was shot by the UAV seconds before it was shot down, and it shows a MiG-29. Georgia's president said he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin and demanded an end to the "unjustified aggression against Georgia's sovereign territory."

Knesset C'tee will Convene to Push Golan Law

(IsraelNN.com) The Knesset House Committee will convene after the parliament's spring recess to advance a bill requiring a national referendum before any concessions are made to Syria in the Golan Heights.

House Committee chairman David Tal – himself a member of the ruling Kadima party – made the announcement in response to Syrian reports that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert had relayed messages to Damascus in which he said that he would be willing to give up the entire Golan in return for peace. The bill, originally sponsored by former Kadima MK Avigdor Yitzhaki, has passed a preliminary reading in the Knesset plenum.

"We have to prevent political thievery that would result in abdicating the Golan," Tal said. "A withdrawal from the Golan would result in Hizbullah terrorists' entering the area and embittering the lives of the residents of northern Israel."

Peace with Syria suicidal, MKs say

Syrian report suggesting Olmert will agree to pull out of Golan Heights for sake of peace with Damascus inflames political area: Likud blames him for thinking of nothing but political survival; Kadima MK says will push forward referendum on area's future

Amnon Meranda Latest Update: 04.23.08, 14:35 / Israel News

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert undoubtedly heard about the Syrian report saying he had agreed to cede Israeli control of the Golan Heights in exchange for peace with Syria, while on vacation.

The report by the Damascus-based website Shams Press was joined by a report in the Syrian newspaper al-Watan, which claimed that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan telephoned Syrian President Bashar Assad on Tuesday and informed him of Olmert's willingness to fully withdraw from the Golan Heights in exchange for a peace agreement.

According to the report, which quotes "knowledgeable sources" in Damascus, Erdogan is expected to visit the Syrian capital over the weekend and take part in a first-of-its-kind economic summit between Syria and Turkey.

The Syrian report's credibility may be questionable, but that did little to pacify the infuriated political arena.

Head of the Knesset's House Committee, Knesset Member David Tal of the prime minister's Kadima party, announced Wednesday that he would push forward the forming of the Golan Heights Act once the Knesset returns from its Passover hiatus. The bill will make a referendum on the region's future mandatory.

Knesset Member Yuval Steinitz (Likud) said the report indicated "unprecedented irresponsibility on Olmert's part both political and defense-wise."

Without the Golan Heights, he added "Israel will have serious trouble defending itself and its water sources. I have no doubt the public is on the Golan's side, not the prime minister's."

The Likud party later issued a formal statement on the matter: "There is no limit to the dangerous concessions Olmert is willing to make for the sake of his political survival… Now he is willing to give way to Syria, an ally of Iran, which supports Hamas terror and supplies Hizbullah with weapons," said the statement.

False expectations

MK Marina Solodkin (Kadima) party, also criticized Olmert: "I am utterly against any withdrawal from the Golan, mainly because Syria is in cahoots with Iran and Hizbullah. Peace with Syria at this point in time is suicidal for Israel."

MK Ze'ev Elkin (Kadima) reiterated the sentiment, saying that in the last six months "Olmert has been fooling the Israeli public and the international community, making promises he can't keep… he has no support for this move, neither in the Knesset nor in Kadima.

"Creating false expectations like these will end up costing Israel dearly…a media spin is no way to make true peace," he added.

Knesset Member Effie Eitam of the National Union-NRP, said Olmert is sacrificing Israel's safety in a "desperate attempt to show his constituents some sort of a political achievement… He is willing to give up the one strategic asset which has kept the northern border quiet for the past 40 years."

The people, he added, "will not let him or anyone give the Golan Heights back to the Syrians."

Former Meretz Chairman MK Yossi Beilin, however, urged the prime minister to hold intensive and swift negotiations with the Syrians, saying "peace with Syria is a key part of regional peace and will lead to the implementation of the Arab peace initiative and to a dramatic change in Syria's relationship with the extreme elements in the region."

The Prime Minister's Office declined official comment on the report saying "we will not comment on the said report but we can refer everyone to the prime minister's holiday interviews saying that we know what the Syrians want of us, and they know what we want of them."

Diplomatic sources in Jerusalem linked the report to the upcoming US Congress hearing regarding the North Korean bid to distribute nuclear technology to Syria, among other nations.

Syrian minister confirms: Olmert expressed willingness to cede Golan

Syrian cabinet minister confirms Arab media reports, says PM Olmert agreed to withdraw from Golan heights in exchange for peace; meanwhile, Syrian foreign minister says nothing should stop resumption of peace talks

Reuters and Dudi Cohen Latest Update: 04.23.08, 21:45 / Israel News

Official confirmation from Syria: Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has told Turkey that Israel is willing to cede the Golan Heights in return for peace with Damascus, a Syrian cabinet minister confirmed Wednesday.

"Olmert is ready for peace with Syria on the grounds of international conditions; on the grounds of the return of the Golan Heights in full to Syria," Expatriates Minister Buthaina Shaaban told al-Jazeera television.

Meanwhile, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said Wednesday evening that there is no reason why peace talks between Israel and Syria should not be restarted
"If Israel is serious and wants to achieve peace, then there is nothing that should stop peace talks from being renewed," Muallem said during a peace conference in Tehran after meting with his Iranian counterpart, Manouchehr Mottaki.

'Withdrawal to June 4th borders'

However, the Syrian minister said talks should resume only as long as "they don't negatively affect the process with the Palestinians.

Muallem also indirectly addressed reports regarding the willingness of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to withdraw from the Golan Heights in exchange for a peace treaty with Syria.

"If Israel is committed to a withdrawal to the June 4th borders, there is no reason to prevent the resumption of talks."

According to Iranian news agency IRNA, Muallem and his Iranian counterpart discussed several issues and mostly focused on the questions of Iraq and the Palestinians. On Thursday, the Syrian foreign minister is expected to meet Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Earlier, Damascus-based website Shams Press was joined by a report in Syrian newspaper al-Watan, which claimed that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Syrian President Bashar Assad on Tuesday and informed him of Olmert's willingness to fully withdraw from the Golan Heights in exchange for a peace agreement.

The reports were harshly slammed by several Knesset Members, including Yuval Steinitz (Likud) who blasted what he termed "unprecedented irresponsibility on Olmert's part both politically and defense-wise."

Exclusive: Pyongyang scrambles to offset impending Syrian plutonium reactor revelations in Congress

North Korean Embassy in Damascus: Deeply embarrassed!
The CIA plans to reveal to a closed-door congressional panel session Thursday April 24 that the Syrian site targeted by Israel’s air raid last September was a reactor capable of producing plutonium for nuclear weapons, thereby offering final proof of North Korea’s nuclear ties with Syria. This is reported by the LA Times.DEBKAfile’s Middle East sources reveal that Pyongyang took the unusual step Wed. April 23 his week of ordering its Damascus embassy to gather Arab correspondents in the Syrian capital for an extraordinary briefing: The first secretary told them that North Korea had nothing to do with the destroyed reactor. However, he did not deny that Pyongyang maintained extensive military ties of cooperation with Damascus.

This week, a US delegation arrived in the North Korean capital to discuss Pyongyang’s failure to meet its December deadline for dismantling its nuclear program.

CIA to disclose Israeli September raid destroyed Syrian plutonium reactor
April 23, 2008, 6:59 PM (GMT+02:00)

The Los Angeles Times reports that the CIA plans to brief key lawmakers in a closed-door session April 24 about the mysterious Syrian site that was targeted by an Israeli air raid last September. DEBKA-Net-Weekly 320 was first to report on Oct. 6, 2007 that the target of the Israeli raid on Sept. 6, 2007, was a plutonium reactor in a remote part of Syria..

The CIA officials will tell lawmakers they believe the reactor would have been capable of producing plutonium for nuclear weapons but was destroyed before it could do so. They will also say that though US officials had had concerns for years about ties between North Korea and Syria, it was not until last year that the new intelligence [gathered in the Israeli raid] provided them with the evidence.

A blow to Bush's Mid-east peace hopes!

Despite stepping up his personal involvement in the process, the odds of President Bush achieving his goal of a framework agreement between Israel and the Palestinians by year's end may be shrinking. The President hosted Jordan's King Abdullah for breakfast at the White House on Wednesday, and will welcome Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for talks on Thursday afternoon. But less than three weeks before he travels to the Middle East himself, Bush's peacemaking efforts have been set back by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's decision not to attend an Arab summit in Sharm el-Sheik in mid-May, sources familiar with the planning tell TIME.

Bush will visit Israel on May 14 to celebrate the Jewish State's 60th anniversary, and will later go to Sharm for talks with Abbas and Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak on the sidelines of a long-scheduled economic summit. Mubarak invited Olmert to join them, but, according to a senior Administration source, the Israeli premier declined the invitation. "Olmert made it clear to the Egyptians he does not want to go because he thinks it will just mean pressure on him for concessions," the official says. The Israeli Embassy in Washington declined to comment.

Raising the pressure on both sides to make concessions is, of course, the very purpose of such talks, because, while the discussions held since last November's Annapolis summit have covered many sensitive issues, progress toward an agreement has been slow. Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni recently presented Palestinians with a map outlining Israeli ideas for a border between the two states, sources familiar with the talks tell TIME. And both sides have discussed the difficult issues of refugee return and the division of Jerusalem. But nothing has yet been put on paper, and

Israeli envoy to UN calls Carter 'a bigot' for meeting Meshal
Israel's ambassador to the United Nations on Thursday called former President Jimmy Carter "a bigot" for meeting with the leader of the militant Hamas movement in Syria. Carter, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, "went to the region with soiled hands and came back with bloody hands after shaking the hand of Khaled Meshal, the leader of Hamas," Ambassador Dan Gillerman told a luncheon briefing for reporters.

US: Syria must tell truth about reactor
North Korea's secret work on a nuclear reactor with Syria was "a dangerous and potentially destabilizing development for the world," said the White House Thursday. The episode raises doubts about Pyongyang's intention to carry through with a promised disclosure of its nuclear activities, it said.
LoisFaith2000
The UN atomic watchdog hit out Friday at the United States for withholding intelligence that Syria had been building a secret nuclear reactor with North Korea's help.

The International Atomic Energy Agency also criticized Israel for acting on the allegations and bombing the purported reactor in a raid last September without giving IAEA inspectors an opportunity to investigate.

The agency insisted it was taking seriously the allegations that were passed on by the United States on Thursday.

"(We) will treat this information with the seriousness it deserves and will investigate the veracity of the information," it said in a statement.

"Syria has an obligation under its safeguards agreement with the IAEA to report the planning and construction of any nuclear facility."

Nevertheless, the watchdog was critical of both the US and Israel for their handling of the matter.

Clinton: 'I Will Attack Iran' If Elected President

There has been a lot of movement of forces toward that region; two more battleships, etc. And along with the Israeli equipment and men, there has to be a purpose. In a long shot guess, I could say that the US might become the next Israel with evacuations of the region. But, I think that the Iranians and the rest of the countries that are allied with them could have more advantage in their detection of aircraft. Every day gives a greater advantage for Iran, but we don't hear the President of Iran, Ahmadinejad, say that he is going to attack anybody and I don't think that there has been any world court ruling against him. He hasn't gassed anyone, I don't think.

If the above statement is true, if Clinton did say that and if she were to get elected president, it would be the exact same thing as Bush attacking Iran. The same exact thing. Neither one has any knowledge of war, neither one has been to war, and neither one has been in any service. Bush has some advantage in that he was close enough to go AWOL. Even the vice-president has no experience of war. Cheney was the CEO of Haliburton and they have supplied the war equipment throughout all of this mideast turmoil. But,

There has been no movement in any direction on any side from any person or body of people whatsoever except repitition of that one phrase. Ah-Mad-In-Jihad could stand on the roof of his palace and yell 24 hours a day 'Death to Israel' and it seems that the only people that would offend is people who claim to be Jews and are not. Now, the only dispute is in the imagination.

Iran is a member of the organization of the inspectors of nuclear facilities and have allowed inspections of the facilities and they have found no evidence that anything is wrong. That is why they can continue with their nuclear program.

The only claims that are flying about are the building of the nuclear reactor in Syria which is a copy of a North Korean facility which was bombed by Israel and the training and supply of terrorists in Iraq by Iran.

The time is very short now before we and Israel go to war with Iran.

I just saw this on FOX.

Then of course I turned over to CNBC and saw our oil prices shoot up almost $3 a barrel to around $119.

These blank blank speculators in New York. They are just waiting for a sneeze, a scratch, or an itch to run up the oil.

I still stand by my earlier post this week. We should go ahead and knock out Iran's nukes and let it do it's run up so we can just get it over with.

With these little things happening now, it will be $200 a barrel before you know it and we'll STILL have Iran around and haven't done a thing to them.

It would only take our navy to wipe out ONE of these boats, and maybe they'll knock this off.

This is how many times now? And every time they do it, oil takes a huge spike. So, knock one of these boats out of the water just once, and be don

The US or Israel should've wiped out Iran a long time ago. But,both governments are full of wimps. We have the weapons to do it,so why don't they just do it. I'm sick of this crap.
I'm also sick and tired of paying almost $4 a gallon for gas when we liberated Iraq from a thug dictator. They should be giving us free oil for all the American lives lost and money spent to liberate their pathetic country.
Where is the thanks???

Lord come quickly!!!

Iran is steadily taunting the US......they don't want to be the first ones to fire a shot. They are just waiting for an excuse to attack Israel.

Between ANWAR and the reserves in the midwest of oil, we don't NEED their oil.

THAT is what I'm sick and tired of. This is ridiculous. We have it right here in our country, and off of our own shores. Yet, we are being forced into these kinds of prices?

Okay but say we do something (which I think we should) Bush will get railed for picking a fight. But we sit back and do nothing and Bush gets railed again for not doing enough. I think things are getting out of hand and Americans are paying a hefty price either way. Is there really a winning situation here?

Whether Bush does anything or not has become a moot point at this stage. Whatever we might think of him, he is done politically. The well is dry. Unfortunately, we don't have any candidate that is going to help once he/she gets in office either.

IMO, the problems we face in the middle east are insurmountable for one reason - We are not fighting against oppression, or empire building, or fiscal sovereignty or national sovereignty or even liberty. We are at war with ideology. Ideology can not be negotiated with or fought to an armistice. It must either be met fully or aquiesced to. There unfortunately is no middle ground. The acts of the Iranians and their leader are proof enough in the present if history hasn't been a good enough teacher for us. Iranian ideology allows for no negotiation, no quarter, and no middle ground.

Jesus, when He comes, is not coming to negotiate but to eradicate sin from the earth.

Iran would do well to take a look at that new parking lot in Syria and cool their jets.

Know what? I think the release of the classified report re: Israel knocking out Syrias nuke plant being declassified and given to the media at the same time as Congress is a prelude of this happening.

I say that for several reasons:

1. Releasing it now this long after the event causes Syria not to have to do the arab/muslim "Save face" game thingey. So they issued their stupid press release denying it.

2. More proof to me that Iran does not quite have nuclear capabilities yet. I firmly believe the Mossad has operatives in every nuke facility Iran has and I think they may have issued the USA an ultimatum......."You do it or we will." I think Israel has the capacity to carry out the same kind of air strikes as in Syria, however, it would be a more involved and lengthy kind of strike. Or they could just have operatives in the facilities cause meltdowns. Or if we don't use our airpower, which is the most superior on earth, to knock these facilites off line Israel could decide to nuke them. I say this cause they are hardened and underground. I think it would require our strongest bunker busting bombs to get to them.

Anyway now is the time to act. I say that and think Israel thinks that because they nor Bush is sure who will win the election in November. If the Dems win you can forget any strike on Iran cause both Hillary and Obama have said they want us out of the region period as fast as possible.

Sooooooo I think Bush needs to act while he's still in office and has the authority to do so and I think Israel has told him either you do it or we will and if we do it might not be so neat as the Syrian strike.

3. The USA is putting a lot of pressure on North Korea and the release of this info clearly shows that they were involved with, provided the material to and worked with Syria to make the nuke facility Israel wiped off the face of the map. No doubt about it. So this is being used to put added pressure on them.

4. It was declassified and given to the media and Congress at the same time cause we all know Congress (even the House and Senate Intel Coms leak like collanders so it would've been leaked to the media anyway).

5. Also declassifying this event and giving it to the media is also a veiled threat to Iran.........We (USA) nor Israel will let you go nuclear.

6. We're already in a proxy/covert war with Iran anyway. They are sending their operatives into Iraq to train and participate in attacks on our soldiers. They have set up training camps in Iran for al-Qeada and other terrorists factions to train out and then sending them into Iraq. So it's kinda time for everyone to lay their cards on the table and see who's bluffing and who's not. I'd say that little short, snotty pseudo dictator in Iran is the one bluffing. I think our UAV's especially the new ones with more firepower could essentially blanket the skies of Iran (stealth mode) and take out their radar, air fields and other such targets and make way for either Israeli jets to drop our bunker busting bombs on to these facilities or for our jets to do the same thing.

7. We are there already! We are in Iraq next door and have a base of operations to launch such strikes against Iran's nuke facilities and don't think we nor the Mossad do not know where each and every one of them is.

Anyway that's my take on the situation.

Though I'm sneaky and devious. If I were in the US intel/military and the Mossad/IDF I'd have my operatives cause accidents and explosions inside the facilities within Iran to cause meltdowns and make it look like Iran is filled with idiots who don't know how to operate nuke facilities and then I'd ratchet up the propaganda machines to the Iranian people letting them know their own government is the cause of all the problems any of them might be experiencing cause they live close to any of these facilities.

But that's just me and ain't y'all glad I'm not in charge.

9/11 We Will NEVER forget.

Please Pray for our Troops.

Iran is steadily taunting the US......they don't want to be the first ones to fire a shot. They are just waiting for an excuse to attack Israel.

They don't want to fire the first shot because if they do, they have no backing and they need it to oppose us openly in a war. Now if we are Israel fire first, then not only will we have to fight the Iranians, but probably the Russian bear too.

Then we gotta get the Dems out of control and by proxy the enviromental weenies who put up the road blocks for the drilling of that oil.

Also, Congress needs to take back the $$$$$ incentives they give to the oil companies unless they start building new refineries.

In Anwar.........I don't care if a few moose get ticked off. Most will adjust to enviromentally friendly drilling and the pumping stations. They certainly adjust to neighborhoods and what not. At this point I agree with Glenn Beck, "Drill right through a moose's head if you have to and get that oil!" Just make sure to harvest the meat for someone to eat.

Same thing for the midwest. Think of the surge to the US economy. The jobs brought in for the drilling. The jobs brought in by building new refineries. The jobs brought in by the mfg companies who help build the machinery needed to do all this. Not to mention the lowering of gas prices which then lowers the price of just about everything else. Consumer confidence goes up and the dollar gains value again.

However, we need folks who will stand up to the green weenies and tell them to "Talk to the hand" and go ahead and do what needs to be done and if they don't like it then go elsewhere and whine about the environment and pay $10 a gallon for your gas to fly your jets and such. They use more energy to protest than the average American does. Yet they complain about SUVs while driving in Limos, flying all over the place in private jets, having three or four 20,000 sq ft plus houses all over the place, having numerous cars but one hybrid to show how green they are. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Sorry I got on my soapbox but these people are anti-American. They are anti-Scripture (put the natural order over us which is in direct contradiction to Scripture) and some are just plain nuts. Plus, they are a MINORITY!!!!!!

So why do they have such power??????????

Because the silent majority remain on their butts and silent. That's why!

Things are gonna stay the way they are until we get off our tails and get out and counter protest and do the things they're willing to do but do it with more people behind it.

Okay I'm through now.

I'm not so sure Putin would get involved in that. He's power hungry and such but he's not stupid. He knows how many nukes we still have aimed at him. The MAD theory is still very much in play regarding Russian and other nuclear countries. I don't think any want to get into that kind of fight other than the nutcase in Iran and the one in North Korea.

I think Putin would find a way to stay out of it unless this is the time of the Gog/Magog prophecy. Then it won't matter cause God will take out all their nukes and their army.

You could be right but I don't think they would stay out of it entirely. They may take on an "advisory" role, like we had in Vietnam with the South Vietnamese in the early stages, or like the CIA had in Afghanistan vs. USSR.

Back in Israel and it is good to be home. Our trip to Turkey last week was led by the Ruach Ha Kodesh and much was accomplished. We traveled from coast to coast over the Turkish Mountains making valuable contacts. By far the greatest accomplishment was the purchase of the larger boat. It took another step in faith to spend the finances we had in hand for the purchase price knowing that it left this ministry with little working capital and a new monthly over head that must be paid, after much prayer we knew this is what God wanted us to do. There is a spiritual leading that clearly says the time is now and we must be very serious about being ready for many will need our help to survive. There is still many things that must be done in order to be ready, the new boat needs navigational equipment such as a radar, gps-chart plotter, the largest cost will be the generator and water maker. There is a generator onboard now but it is very old and not reliable, the water maker will make it possible to take care of many for a prolonged period should we have to take cover for a while. This boat is very sound, the motor, sails and hull are in excellent condition. I want to take the opportunity to say thank you for those who have responded to the touch of God’s Hand and are making this Ministry possible, may God show great favor to you as He has promised in Gen. 12:3. On our return to Israel we are hearing the same chatter; Assad is trying to divert attention from his dealings with North Korea in building nuclear weapons. Putin is making deals with Libya, Egypt, Iran, Syria or anyone else who hates Israel to make sure they can have nuclear possibilities and the necessary weapons to kill Jews. Bush, Rice and Olmert are still busy trying to give God’s land to His enemies while promoting Abbas as a peace maker knowing who and what he really is. Knowing there is little to nothing we can do to prevent what is sure to come in God’s Word it is our desire to keep our eyes on God’s calling and bring those who we can to salvation. For the only thing a Believer in Yeshua has to answer for will be his or her works or the lack of them. And those who have been chosen by God to bless Israel have found grace and favor in His eyes. Pray for the pace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel and all the IDF. Pray for this Ministry and your part in it. Shalom, jerry golden

Ahmadinejad Phenomenon

http://www.iran-press-service.com/ips/arti...henomenon.shtml

Among Islamic Republic of Iran's seniors, president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is more known for his fierce rhetoric and odd behaviour. His absurd comments, lack of rationality, revolting habits and odd gestures suggest a personal immaturity or even abnormality.

In his speeches, he usually sinks himself into a hectic and incoherent stance in which his words go so beyond the limits of decorum that even some of his companions feel embarrassed about him.--even the most inexperienced and insecure politicians rarely engage in spontaneous outbursts like he does.

Ahmadinejad needs to seek refuge in his unreal world. He views himself the direct vassal of the Twelfth Imam, the Mahdi, of Shi’ites, for whom he prepares the reappearance after more than a thousand years of occultation. He propagates the idea that he is in permanent contact with him and receives advice from him.

Whatever one may think of Ahmadinejad, any perceived insanity or instability can be best explained by his unshakeable belief in the ethos of the Shiite sect-- with a messianic idea of world catastrophe leading to the coming of the Twelfth Imam and Islamic rule over the world. If one analyses this religious belief, his words make perfect sense but only within the strict context of this belief system. When he believes the Mahdi protects him with a "halo of light", then his words must mirror this belief.

The belief in the imminent return of the Mahdi has not only influenced Ahmadinejad's words and attitudes, but also driven his foreign policy brinksmanship. According to him, "a historic war between the oppressor, non-Muslims, and the world of Islam" is under way, and the IRI is on the front lines. Thus, as Ahmadinejad told a closed-door session of the "Majles"(Iranian parliament) foreign policy and national security committee in January 2006, Iran must abandon its decade-and-a-haft-old policy of "detente" with the West in favour of confrontation.

Ahmadiniejad's constantly deteriorating behaviour can be threatening even for his colleagues who can witness more signs of abnormality in his attitudes, language lapses, and ridiculous gestures. It is said that the way he behaves his colleagues leads to the repeated change of his ministers and staff.

Psychopaths are social predators who may charm, manipulate, and ruthlessly plough their way through life. They have traits such as glibness, grandiosity, lack of guilt, and shallow emotions, as well as social deviance traits such as impulsiveness, lack of responsibility, and antisocial behaviour. Completely lacking in conscience and in feelings for others, Psychopaths are found in every segment of society, including in fields of religion and politics. Throughout history there have been many psychopaths, even with the norms of generally accepted behaviour, who brought obscurantism, wars and catastrophes for their people.

Institutional psychopaths, Stalin, Pol Pot, and Hitler imposed restraints on progress and evolution of their societies. Each considerably set back democracy, civil right, and free thoughts in their totalitarian states. And of course, they killed millions of people. As an Islamist, Ahmadinejad seems to be in the same psychopathological stance to bring the same degree of harm for his people if he were politically in their position.

It is believe that Mr. Ahamsdinejad follows a psychiatric treatment, but he acts as if he were not aware of his personality disorder. ENDS AHMADI PHENOMENA 26408

Hamas 'playing games' with truce, Israeli official says
An Israeli official says a Hamas proposal for a truce in the Gaza Strip is "not serious" and would only allow the hardline Islamic group to prepare for a new round of fighting. Israeli government spokesman David Baker says the group is "playing games, trying to buy time in order to regroup and rearm."

Iranian Conservatives Consolidate Their Control of Parliament in Runoff Elections
Conservatives consolidated their control of Iran's legislature in run-off parliamentary elections, according to partial results announced Saturday by state media. Out of 82 seats included in Friday's run-off, 56 have produced final results, said Iranian state television and the official news agency IRNA. Supporters of hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won 12 seats, his conservative critics seven, reformists 12 and independents 25.

4.7-Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Reno for Second Day in a Row
Another earthquake dumped cans off shelves, knocked pictures off walls and sent rocks off hillsides in the Reno area late Friday night, a day after a quake caused high-rise casinos to sway and put visitors and residents on alert on the Sierra Nevada's eastern front.

'Muslims' hack into Bank of Israel site
The Bank of Israel took down its Web site on Friday night after it was sabotaged by hackers, apparently from Algeria. "Listen to me Jews - you are a nation whose fate has been decreed and sooner or later you will lose the war," read a message posted by the hackers on the bank's home page.

State Department Tells U.N. to Stop Complaining and Start Investigating Syria's Secret Nuclear Reactor Project
The State Department had a pointed response Friday for the U.N.'s criticism that the U.S. did not come forward with information about Syria's clandestine nuclear reactor program: Get over it and start investigating.

Military: Turkish planes, artillery bomb Kurdish rebels
Turkish warplanes and artillery units struck Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq who were preparing to cross the border to carry out attacks, the military said Saturday. The raids took place Friday and Saturday, according to a brief statement on the military's Web site. The strikes were in the regions of Zap, Avasin-Basyan and Hakurk near the border, where rebels were known to have maintained bases in the past.

Iran is steadily taunting the US......they don't want to be the first ones to fire a shot. They are just waiting for an excuse to attack Israel.

Yes, why don't we just be done with these people!

QUOTE
"Syria has nothing to hide," he added. "IAEA inspectors should go into Israel (instead) ... The real danger is the Israeli nuclear arsenal."

The fact is, neither Israel nor the US will allow inspectors to go to their nuclear facilities. Not that they would find anything unordinary in those nuclear facilities, but there would be so much nuclear material and waste products that it would take years to complete inspections and the fines levied against companies for their carelessness in the storage and use would further drain an empty economy. Any person who has been inside a nuclear reactor or even around one has been baptized by the nuclear god and this god is slow in his actions, but he is violent and deadly and all-consuming. You know, hell is never full.

Prior to the bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the nuclear bomb was only tested once. In fact, I don't know that there was a nuclear bomb before then. Of course, there were scientist that were drawing up the plans and formulating theories and equations and it is suprising that the actual laboratory experiments were done by 13 people and the experiments were not initially done destroy things, but conceal people with conventional weaponry so as to pull off a suprise attack.

These 13 people were all part of the Nazi regime under Adolph Hitler.
Three of these men defected to the US when Austria was annexed to Germany and the remaining 10 were captured and held in England until the US developed and dropped the atomic bombs on Japan with the assistance of these three men.
After the bombs were dropped, the 10 scientists that were captured and held were released and became professors and instructors at major universities around the world.
After the US developed the knowledge and formed the material and encased the material in destructive devices, they tested their theories in New Mexico, USA.
The 3 scientists that defected to the US from Austria witnessed their invention and wrote a letter to the President of the US after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and implored him to send a delegation to Japan to demonstrate the destructive capability of this weapon and offer a condition.
The condition would be to surrender or we will use it.
This request was backed by General Dwight D. Eisenhower.
This request was refused.
And you know the rest of the story.
Perhaps, you do not know the names of the 3 scientists who defected to the US.
Ever hear of the 'Unified Field Theory' or the 'Theory of Relativity?' That's a hint.
Leo Szilard and Eugene Wiegner were 2 of them and Albert Einstein was the 3rd.

We all know what atomic bombs will do to people, but as Einstein said in his letter to President Roosevelt in 1939, if a bomb were to be developed, it probably would be too heavy to carry by air. But, they only suspected that Hitler was developing a bomb and Germany was bombed into submission to the US and turned over their studies. And what do you think the US found when they investigated facilities over there?
Ever hear of The Philadelphia Experiment?
That was an experiment carried out in the New York harbor on the ship USS Eldridge using theoretical studies done by Nickola Tesla and Albert Einstein.

There was also the Montauk Project 40 years later at Camp Hero, Long Island, New York using theoretical theories developed by Nikola Tesla and John von Neumann and finishing the Philadelphia Experiment and space/time calculations developed by Tesla and Einstein.

Now, the problem is not that the US Government suspects the development of nuclear weapons, it is they fear a recurrence of what happened in Russia and the spread of the insanity that is caused by the use of the atomic weaponry already developed.

There is so much more that the public is not being told or they cannot figure out what they are seeing.

Why do you think that Ahmadinejad acts the way he does?

QUOTE
Ahmadinejad needs to seek refuge in his unreal world. He views himself the direct vassal of the Twelfth Imam, the Mahdi, of Shi’ites, for whom he prepares the reappearance after more than a thousand years of occultation. He propagates the idea that he is in permanent contact with him and receives advice from him.

Ever heard of UFOs?

Who do you think Hitler thought he was?

Government scientists plan to conduct an underground nuclear experiment Tuesday at the Nevada Test Site, the National Nuclear Security Administration said.

The subcritical experiment, dubbed "Armando," will involve detonating high explosives around plutonium in a steel sphere while X-rays, radar and lasers chart the behavior of the radioactive element in a non-nuclear explosion.

Scientists from the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico are conducting the test in a tunnel 963 feet below ground at the Nevada Test Site, about 80 miles northwest of Las Vegas.

"Armando" is the 21st subcritical experiment at the test site, and the third in a series. Its predecessors, "Mario" and "Rocco," were conducted in August and September 2002.

Friday's 4.7 quake originally was estimated to be 4.9, the USGS said, but revised downward after more details were available.

A 3.5 aftershock followed at 12:29 a.m. Saturday, followed by at least 30 smaller ones, the USGS said.

The initial quake was felt 30 miles north in Portola, Calif., and at least 45 miles south near Stateline, Nev., on Lake Tahoe's south shore.

Dear friends:

This morning a friend pointed out to me a video of a profound TV program by J.R. Church and Gary Stearman of Prophecy in the News, whose scholarship I have always greatly respected. A guest on the program is Pastor Mark Biltz, whose teaching emphasis is Jewish roots and who has also extensively studied the dates of solar and lunar eclipses from NASA and other astronomical resources, and how they line up precisely with Jewish feast days in the year 2015.

Concerning what has been discovered, the normally calm and studious J.R. Church exclaimed, "This is phenomenal!" I agree. I have just watched the program two times and do not think I have ever been more encouraged or excited about the soon return of the Lord! I urge you to watch this 30-minute program as soon as possible at http://66.155.114.80/video/Dsl/5904-D.wmv

I will give you a sample...

They begin their discussion about how the Bible reveals that just before the Lord returns there will be signs in the heavens, the sun darkened, the blood turning to blood, etc. God promised "signs," or celestial indicators that certain things are about to come to pass.

The year 2014-2015 on the Jewish calendar is a Jewish sabbatical year, as is 2008, which is prophetically significant.

A "tetrad" is a rare series of four blood red moons. This will not only happen in 2014-2015, but it is a historical rarity that they will all be on significant Jewish feast days.

Get this: Pastor Biltz has discovered that the last time it happened was in 1967, the year of the miraculous Six-Day War when the Temple Mount was captured, and the one before that was just after Israel became a nation in 1948, all truly historical and prophetic years. This is extremely significant. Those two years, 1967 and 1948, are two of the most significant years in all of history.

In 2014-2015 there will be 4 lunar eclipses and 2 solar eclipses, all on Jewish holidays, including Rosh Hashanah in 2015! This will not happen again in this century.

They discussed that 2008 is also a sabbatical year, and that 2015 minus 7 years is 2008, and the possibility that the 7-year Tribulation will begin in the fall of 2008! In connection with this, they noted the ominous signs of imminent war in the Middle East, possibly nuclear. If that is true, this means the rapture could literally be at the door! Be ready. Do not be caught asleep, or your lamps without oil. Be filled with the Spirit, and as Jesus exhorted, "Watch!"

The above is just a taste to whet your appetite. The video includes much more.

If you are not able to watch the video, J.R. says it will all be in the May edition of his magazine which you can order it at 1-800-475-1111. Please consider subscribing to this excellent resource. J.R. and Gary produce the best, in-depth prophecy studies available.

US: We have the power to strike Iran

The United States has the combat power to strike Teheran if needed, Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff warned Friday.

He alleged Iran was ratcheting up its support for militias in Iraq by providing them with newly manufactured weapons and bringing them across the border to receive training from members of Teheran's Republican Guard.

Mullen said the military is preparing to roll out evidence, including date stamps on newly found weapons caches, to prove that recently made Iranian weapons are flowing into Iraq at a steadily increasing rate.

'Hamas trying to make bomber drones'

Hamas is trying to assemble bomb-carrying drones, Al-Aharam reported Saturday.

The Egyptian newspaper said that the revelation was made by Egyptian security forces during their interrogation of a Muslim Brotherhood terror cell.

The interrogators reportedly discovered that the operatives were working with Hamas on the project.

Al-Aharam said the security forces learned that as result of the cooperation between the two terror groups, know-how and equipment were acquired to assemble the unmanned planes and were transferred to the Gaza Strip.

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said that the report was a "big lie". He told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that such a claim was consistent with the campaign led by Al-Aharam and numerous other newspapers against Hamas and the Palestinian people.

On April 10, An Israeli think tank issued a report issued claiming that since 2005's disengagement from the Gaza Strip, Hamas had forged a formidable military of 20,000 men.

DAMASCUS (Reuters) - Syria will cooperate with Turkey in its mediation to relaunch peace talks between the Damascus government and Israel but the Jewish state has also to make an effort towards a deal, Syrian officials said Saturday.

President Bashar al Assad said after meeting Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan in the Syrian capital that "Syria was ready to cooperate with Turkey in any effort that brings security and stability to the region."

"The meeting focused on ways to activate a just and comprehensive peace and the president praised Turkey for the efforts in this regard," the state news agency said.

Syrian officials said that the meeting focused on attempts by Turkey to help Syria and Israel relaunch negotiations that collapsed in 2000 over the scope of a proposed Israeli withdrawal from the Golan heights, a water-rich plateau overlooking Damascus.

Asked if the Turkish effort will succeed, one of the officials said: "There is another party to this equation," in reference to Israel.

The meeting between Erdogan and Assad was attended by Ahmet Davutoglu, Erdogan's influential chief foreign policy adviser, and Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem.

Erdogan said Syria and Israel

Iran demands Azerbaijan release Russian nuclear shipment
TEHERAN, Iran

Iran has demanded that Azerbaijan deliver a Russian shipment of nuclear equipment that it blocked at its border with Iran almost three weeks ago.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini says his country has asked the Azerbaijani ambassador in Iran to get his government to deliver the shipment as soon as possible. He spoke Sunday at his weekly press briefing.

The shipment is headed to a nuclear reactor the Russians have helped build in the southern Iranian port city of Bushehr.

Azerbaijan has said it was seeking more information about the shipment due to fears that it might violate any of the three sets of UN Security Council sanctions imposed on Iran over its failure to halt uranium enrichment.

Amo 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

That may say that restoring the kingdom to Israel is a secret because:

Act 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

There is a whole lot more foliage on that limb that comes off the tree of life, there. The question that the apostles asked of Jesus was, 'Are you going to restore the kingdom to Israel at this time?'
You could say they asked 'Is Israel going to control the kingdom now?'

Jesus Christ said, 'The Kingdom of God is within you.'

Restoring the Kingdom TO Israel might mean either Israel did not control the kingdom at that time and Jesus probably explained something about all of the people were going to come to Jerusalem to worship in the future or that there was no peace in Israel.
How about both? But notice Jesus said that the Father has His Own power. There is some more things to look at though.

Gen 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Luk 12:56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

Maybe Jesus fulfilled the prophesy of Amos 3:7.

God so loved the world that He sent His Only Son and the people didn't know it.
But, Peter was a prophet. He knew who Jesus is. There was at least one more ruler of a city that knew who Jesus is.

UN: Syria must explain reactor...
Defense Minister Ehud Barak postponed a trip to Washington scheduled to begin today in the wake of Thursday's CIA briefing to Congress over Israel's September 2007 airstrike on a Syrian nuclear installation.

Barak was slated to meet with senior U.S. officials including Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates during the two-day visit.

Barak made the decision a few days ago. The postponement is aimed at avoiding the impression that his meetings were in any way connected to the U.S. decision to disclosure information on the Syrian
