The Dome has a writing on its Wall.
What an aim!

And yet only a shot across the zone
It is the last year of the Dome.
That is what was said prepare
That ye might be aware.

And yet the thunders have not yet been
Thy golden head will save no mujahedin.
As Muhammed broke Gabriels Word
so will thy children not be heard.

Now wait for thy crumble
for ye made the Twins so humble
so God only does unto thee
the same so that thou may see.

It is carved.
Amen.

Jerusalem: Demographics and Division

by Ezra HaLevi

(IsraelNN.com) For the second day, the Jerusalem Conference held a discussion on Jerusalem’s future. Wednesday’s discussion dealt with demographics and the Temple Mount.

“Jerusalem should not be up for negotiation,” Chief Sephardi Rabbi Shlomo Amar declared, joining a similar statement a day earlier made by his Ashkenazi counterpart Rabbi Yonah Metzger. “The Temple Mount is the heart and soul of the Land of Israel and there is no Jewish unity without the unity of the Land of Israel.”

Haaretz Journalist: Jerusalem Suburbs to Become Sderots
Nadav Shragai, who covers the Land of Israel beat for Haaretz, spoke about the practical ramifications of the planned division of Jerusalem currently being negotiated.

“The neighborhoods surrounding this hotel [the Regency, between the Jewish French Hill and Arab Sheikh Jarrah neighborhoods in Jerusalem –ed.] are but a few of those that are to be relinquished in an agreement reached by this government,” Shragai said. “The routes leading to Mt. Scopus and neighborhoods like Pisgat Ze’ev, Neve Ya’akov and Har Homa are being negotiated – whether they will have to be accessed via tunnels or covered roads.”

The 25-year-veteran journalist stressed that Jerusalem’s Jewish neighborhoods are but a few hundred meters from the Arab ones that would become part of a sovereign Arab state. “The proximity of all these [Jewish] neighborhoods to the newly Palestinian ones leave them vulnerable to attack, even by light weaponry - which is possessed by every Palestinian faction.”

Session Chairman Yechiel Leiter pointed out that the distance from the rocket-launching pads of the northern Gaza region to the western Negev is greater than the distance between most Arab and Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem.

Shragai, whose newspaper has been the strongest backer of the Oslo Accords and subsequent initiative, estimated that “It is reasonable to assume that attacks will continue even after a final agreement. The Palestinians will not give up on the "Right to Return" – including in Jerusalem. They have documented all the pre-’48 properties and plan on standing by these demands.”

The Demographic Paper Tiger
“Everybody talks about demographics as a reason to relinquish Arab neighborhoods,” Shragai said. “The real issue is not the Arab residents, but Jewish emigration from the city. Will making the hundred thousands of Jews living in the eastern Jerusalem neighborhoods into border towns like Sderot solve anything? It will make the situation much worse.”

Shragai, who has refrained in the past from voicing political pronouncements, had harsh words for his colleagues. “The press – of which I am a part – is neglecting to ask the tough questions about the division of Jerusalem,” he concluded.

Demographer Yoram Ettinger went even further than Shragai. Presenting his findings that the birth rate of Jews and Arabs in Jerusalem has in fact already reached parity – with an upward trend for Jews and downward for Arabs.

“Anyone who believes that relinquishing the Arab neighborhoods will have any demographic benefit is detached from reality,” he said.

Jerusalem’s Handling by Government Unethical to the Core
“The way Jerusalem is being negotiated personifies the unethical nature of this government,” said Danny Dayan, the new head of the Yesha Council of Judea and Samaria communities (formerly Gaza as well). “Even before Annapolis, the Olmert government obviously put Jerusalem on the table, conceding at least the Clinton parameters to the PA [which entail Israel relinquishing many of Jerusalem’s Arab neighborhoods –ed.].”

Dayan said the fact that the Olmert government is completely willing to lie to the faces of the populace – knowing that the citizenry knows full well they are being lied to – personifies the unethical nature of the current government. But he pointed the finger at the populace for failing to topple the government. “Everyone knows what is going on and everyone is hiding their heads in the sand,” Dayan said. “The press is being complicit and allowing it,” he added, echoing Shragai.

Jerusalem Without the Holy Temple is Not Jerusalem
Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, the founder of the Temple Institute in Jerusalem spoke about his experience being part of Motta Gur’s Paratrooper unit that liberated the Temple Mount. “Once we liberated the area, I saw the Prime Minister, the president and all sorts of dignitaries entering the Temple Mount. But where did they head? To the Kotel [the Western Wall of the Temple Mount –ed.]. We arrive at the Temple Mount after 2,000 years – and where did we go? And the Torah world was fully complicit in this – it was not just Moshe Dayan and the government. Humiliation. Complete humiliation.

“There is no Jerusalem without the Holy Temple,” he proclaimed. “I have been sitting here for two hours and heave heard about housing and demographics and even the Jewish Quarter – but nothing about the Holy Temple, which is inextricably the whole essence of Jerusalem. It is impossible to speak about Jerusalem without mentioning even once the Holy Temple.

“Every generation at least implemented to the best of their ability what they prayed for. Our generation simply runs away from it. We talk about the Temple Mount, but not building the Holy Temple.”

God is showing again!

Last night our sky was blocked by a thick cloud cover. I was very tired and finally went to sleep.
When I woke up I was very refreshed, and of course, curious as my nature is, I went to Spaeweather.com to see what the eclipse had looked like. When I entered the site, my mouth fell open.

Here is this Moon, fully red with Love (NOT destructive fire) and on the top a sickle or a bow of white Light, all together in ONE circle. Not only that, but the picture clearly shows the Moon SITTING ON THE TOP OF A MOUNTAIN. Then I looked to where this picture was taken from: PERSIA.
Another peculiar thing is that there are NONE sunspots and solar flares at the time!!

Here is the subtitling as I read it: God says:
"I am full of Love for all, and my Light is ON TOP.
You want a Temple?
I come down as a Temple and sit on the Mountain.
Visible from Hawaii till Persia.
I show you this in ONE circle of Unity,
therefore I address to ALL."

God is talking to Persia right now. Stay still and do not point a finger! Let God do the work!

Go check this out: http://www.spaceweather.com/

I am thrilled in bliss. Thank you God!

Is It Time for the Temple?

THE SANHEDRIN

The Sanhedrin was a council of 71 rabbis who governed Israel under Roman rule near the temple during the time of Christ, and continued to function outside of Jerusalem (primarily in Tiberias) until around A.D. 400. The reinstitution of the Sanhedrin is seen as a harbinger for the rebuilding of the temple and the coming of the Messiah. Orthodox Jews believe that a body like the Sanhedrin is needed today to oversee the rebuilding of the temple, and to identify Messiah should He appear on the scene.

The body met for the first time in October 2004 in Tiberias (the place where they last gathered), but now meets monthly in Jerusalem in order to issue rulings on matters related to Israeli Judaism. Their goal is to eventually become the governing body for the modern nation of Israel, which would replace their current social democracy. Orthodox sects are known for following
specific leaders as opposed to valuing unity between themselves. This is why the founding of the Sanhedrin is viewed by many within the Orthodox community as miraculous because it causes them to believe that great things are on the horizon for the Jewish people of Israel.

Hebrew Christian scholar Arnold Fruchtenbaum has noted the following:

The significance of Israel’s reinstituting the Sanhedrin may be another event that leaves in place the possibility of how the Lord will work out His will with His people. Almost 60 years after a 1,900-year absence, the nation of Israel came into existence. Jewish people from the four corners of the world have made aliyah to live in the Land. The Temple Institute in Jerusalem has reconstructed the instruments for Jewish Temple worship; Jewish men determined to be descendants of Aaron, known as the Kohanim, are being trained in ritual practices to serve as Temple priests; and now we have the establishment of an authoritative body to speak to the nation of Israel on matters of Jewish religion. This is significant in light of such passages as Zechariah 12:10 and Hosea 5:15, which speak of a time when the people of Israel will be led into the acceptance of Jesus as their Messiah. The existence of a religious authority for the entire nation will facilitate the multitudes coming to faith. 1

It is important to note that as a result of the June 2005 meeting of the Sanhedrin, they have issued a call for specific plans to rebuild the temple. “The Israeli rabbinical council involved with re-establishing the Sanhedrin, is calling upon all groups involved in Temple Mount research to prepare detailed architectural plans for the reconstruction of the Jewish Holy Temple.”2 This demonstrates that increasingly, the new Sanhedrin believes it is taking steps to prepare the modern state of Israel for a new temple and the coming of the Messiah. These stage-setting steps are in concert with the endtime events that will take place during a future era known as the Tribulation.

In order to specifically carry out the Sanhedrin’s call to prepare architectural plans for rebuilding the temple, “the group will establish a forum of architects and engineers to begin plans for rebuilding the Temple — a move fraught with religious and political volatility.”3 The Sanhedrin is also “calling on the Jewish people to contribute toward the acquisition of materials for the purpose of rebuilding the Temple—including the gathering and preparation of prefabricated, disassembled portions to be stored and ready for rapid assembly, ‘in the manner of King David.’”4

READY TO REBUILD

Randall Price and I wrote a book in 1992 called Ready to Rebuild 5 about the current efforts in Israel to rebuild Israel’s third temple. Frankly, this book was the first in the American evangelical world to introduce many to the growing temple movement in Israel. Now, 13 years later, even more organizations and Israeli Jews are working toward this goal. I recall our visit to the Temple Institute in West Jerusalem during a trip to Israel a few years ago. (This is the group of orthodox Jews who have already reconstructed all of the implements that will be needed for the third temple.) Our group asked the woman who led our tour of the Institute whether the organization really believed a new temple would be built upon the Temple Mount where the Arab Dome of the Rock now stands. She stated very clearly and repeatedly that its members were positive a Jewish temple would one day be reconstructed upon that Mount. Asked how she thought this would happen, she said she had no idea, but knew the Lord would bring it to pass in order for the end of days to unfold.

The main problem facing those who would rebuild the temple is political in nature. Israel recaptured the Old City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in the Six-Day War (1967) and then Moshe Diane returned day-to-day control of the Temple Mount to the Muslims. Until Israel comes to the point it is willing to exercise political control over the Temple Mount, the Jews will not be able to restore the temple. Increasingly, new organi-zations arise among the orthodox Jews seeking to regain hegemony
over their most holy place.

One of the newer organizations that has recently arisen to join older ones like the Temple Mount Faithful and the Ateret Cohanim is the group called Revava, led by David Ha’ivri. The goal of Revava is to restore Jewish sovereignty over the Temple Mount. Its tactics include an effort every month to take a group of 10,000 Jews or more up to the Temple Mount.6 The 35-acre Temple Mount platform is the most volatile piece of real estate upon planet Earth. The mere (unsuccessful) attempt by Revava to take 10,000 Jews up to the Temple Mount in order to pray resulted in over 100,000 Muslims in Indonesia rallying “for continued Islamic dominance over the Mount.”7 The police prevented the Jews from ascending to the most holy place in all of Judaism, so they carried on a demonstration near the Temple Mount.

Demonstrators sang songs and danced and chanted slogans about reclaiming the Mount for Jewish worship. Several Israeli Knesset members delivered speeches about the importance of the Temple Mount to Jewish tradition.8

The point that needs to be made is that Israeli Jews are becoming increasingly interested in rebuilding their temple. It appears that the more the Islamic militants increase their terrorist pressure upon the Jewish nation, the more religious Jews step up efforts to focus upon rebuilding the third temple. “Islamic Jihad issued a press release claiming Jews were planning to ‘attack’ the Mount, in which they would explode the entire region and open an unprecedented confrontation with the ‘Zionist entity.’”
9 In fact, on June 6, 2005, when Israel was celebrating the 38th anniversary of Jerusalem’s liberation, a number of Jews were allowed to go upon the Temple Mount. This resulted in about 300 Palestinians throwing stones at the Jews. “They came from Al Aqsa, took off their belts, and ran through the Jewish Israeli group to evict them while trying to throw stones,” noted a Jewish police spokesman.10

CONCLUSION

In spite of contemporary turmoil, Israel's third temple will one day be rebuilt, as Dr. Price and I explained based on Daniel 9:24-27; Matthew 24:15; 2 Thessalonians 2:4; and Revelation 11:1-2; 13:14–15 in our book Ready To Rebuild. Few observers
of world events ever thought Israel would become a nation again, but that did occur in 1948. Yet, there will be a rebuilt temple by the middle of the seven-year Tribulation in order to facilitate the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

I have often taught that the long-awaited permission for the Jews to rebuild their temple will likely be part of the covenant between the Antichrist and Israel that begins the seven-year Tribulation after the Rapture. It appears to me that the temple will be rebuilt and supervised supernaturally by the two witnesses during the first half of the Tribulation. Since one of the two witnesses will most likely be Elijah, this would mean that Elijah’s ministry should tell us more about the ministry of the two witnesses. Malachi 4:5-6 says, “Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD. And he will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse.” Perhaps Elijah’s ministry, through which he will help the Jewish people “get right with God” before the return of the Lord, will involve their third temple—until it is commandeered by Antichrist.

Regardless of how the Lord works out the details, His plan will be brought to pass. In the meantime, many events taking place in and around Jerusalem and the Temple Mount are setting the stage for a string of events that will usher in the Second Coming of Christ. Meanwhile, the Church is looking for the Rapture, where Christ will take us in an instant to be with Himself
for all eternity. Maranatha!

The al-Aqsa mosque was never the site of a Jewish temple, Sheikh Raed Salah, the head of the Islamic Movement's northern branch, said Monday during a press conference he convened in Jerusalem to respond to voices calling for the expulsion of Israeli residents of the city who participate in terror activities against Israel.

"Those calling for the expulsion of Palestinian residents of east Jerusalem are hysterical and stupid and belong in the trash can," Salah said at the conference.

He went on to deny any Israeli or Jewish historical claim to the city, denying that there ever existed a Jewish temple on the Temple Mount.

"The claims of the Jews are big lies and they have no right to any speck of dust here," he said.

Israel, he claimed, was carrying out extensive digs under al-Aqsa mosque, and was hiding destructive tunnels under the compound which had already caused damage to the mosque and several houses in the Muslim Quarter.

"I think that we are at a critical time. We believe that al-Aqsa is in danger and that it is under occupation, and we believe that Jerusalem is in danger because it is under occupation," Salah said. "Jerusalem is not only houses - it is faith, it is history, it is a culture, it is a present, a future and an eternal right that we will not relinquish."

In January, Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz filed an indictment against Salah, charging him with incitement to violence and racism in a speech he made last year protesting the archeological dig carried out at the Old City's Mughrabi Gate.

During his sermon in Jerusalem's Wadi Joz neighborhood on February 16 of last year, Salah urged supporters to start a third intifada in order to "save al-Aksa Mosque, free Jerusalem and end the occupation."

Salah's speech also attacked Jews, saying, "They want to build their temple at a time when our blood is on their clothes, on their doorsteps, in their food and in their drinks. Our blood has passed from one 'general terrorist' to another 'general terrorist.'"

He also said, "We are not those who ate bread dipped in children's blood."

Benny,

You and I disagree on this issue and that is ok, but there may not be a re-build and if something is built there it will not be acceptable to the Lord for sure. Nothing about a re-build action in scripture that I see. Some point to the results by inference, but I would suggest taking a very close look. I know that the orthodox Rabbi's and followers want to to this, but I doubt they will get it done either before or during the tribulation period. I believe a much more likely occurence will be that the Al Aqsa mosque turns out to be the temple of the "antichrist".

You just might be right Stephen. I suppose the false wonders will be so convincing both sides will except the antichrist. Its hard to imagine the Jewish people worshiping at the AL Aqsa!

'Lost Tribe of Israel' couples marry in Jerusalem
Group 'descended from Joseph' struggled to 'return home'

JERUSALEM – Eighteen couples from a group of hundreds who recently moved here from India believing they are one of the "lost tribes" of Israel have been married in a massive, emotional ceremony, fulfilling for many a lifelong dream of starting a life in what they consider their homeland.

"For the first time, 18 B'nei Menashe couples – equal to chai ['life' in Hebrew numerical equivalent] – married in a joint ceremony under the wedding canopy in Jerusalem. This symbolizes their successful absorption into Jewish and Israeli society, and we wish the couples a lot of joy and success," said Michael Freund, chairman of Shavei Israel, a Jerusalem-based immigrant organization working with the "lost" Jews.

Shavei hopes to bring to the Jewish state the remaining 7,000 Indian citizens who believe they are the Bnei Menashe, the descendants of Manasseh, one of biblical patriarch Joseph's two sons and a grandson of Jacob, the man whose name was changed to Israel.

The tribe lives in the two Indian states of Mizoram and Manipur, to which they claim to have been exiled from Israel more than 2,700 years ago by the Assyrian empire.

This past August, WND reported Freund's group brought 230 Bnei Menashe to Israel; the new arrivals made their way to a Shavei Israel absorption center in northern Israel where they studied Hebrew and Torah. The batch of arrivals followed about 1,200 other Bnei Menashe brought here the past 10 years, largely with the help of Shavei Israel.

Freund, who previously served as deputy communications director under former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stressed the Bnei Menashe have been keeping Jewish customs for at least the past four decades and were well-off in India but came due to Zionist ideology.

(Story continues below)

According to Bnei Menashe oral tradition, the tribe was exiled from Israel and pushed to the east, eventually settling in the border regions of China and India, where most remain today. Most kept customs similar to Jewish tradition, including observing Shabbat, keeping the laws of Kosher, practicing circumcision on the eighth day of a baby boy's life and observing laws of family purity.

In the 1950s, several thousand Bnei Menashe say they set out on foot to Israel but were quickly halted by Indian authorities. Undeterred, many began practicing Orthodox Judaism and pledged to make it to Israel. They now attend community centers established by Shavei Israel to teach the Bnei Menashe Jewish tradition and modern Hebrew.

Israel moves to restrict "lost Jews" immigration

Freund recently brought batches of the tribe to Israel after members of Israel's chief rabbinate flew to India to meet with and convert members of the Bnei Menashe. Once legally Jewish, the tribe was able to apply for Israeli citizenship under the country's "Law of Return," which guarantees sanctuary to Jews from around the world.

But the Israeli government, which heavily restricts conversions, put a halt on the plan in October when Israeli Interior Minister Meir Sheetrit pushed through a bill heavily restricting approval of new immigrants who want to convert to Judaism and move to the Jewish state.

The bill, largely viewed as specifically targeting the Bnei Menashe, took away the interior minister's power to approve the immigration of groups who claim Jewish descent, instead requiring a vote by the entire Israeli cabinet each time any group of more than ten "lost Jews" wants approval to immigrate.

Freund accused Sheetrit of attempting to "prevent groups with historical ties to the Jewish people from returning to Judaism and moving to Israel."

"Requiring full cabinet approval every time a group of 100 or 200 people wish to move here and undergo conversion is a recipe for bureaucratic inertia, as there is little chance of getting such an item onto the busy agenda of the entire government," said Freund.

This bill wasn't the first time the Israeli government has blocked the arrival of the Bnei Menashe.

Over the last decade, Freund's Shavei Israel, at times working with other organizations, brought about 1,200 Bnei Menashe members to the Jewish state.

The original batches of Bnei Menashe to arrive here came as tourists in an agreement with Israel's Interior Ministry. Once here, the Bnei Menashe converted officially to Judaism and became citizens.

But diplomatic wrangling halted the immigration process in 2003, with officials from some Israeli ministries refusing to grant the rest of the group still in India permission to travel here.

To smooth the process, Freund enlisted the help of Israel's chief rabbinate, who flew to India in 2005 to convert members of the Bnei Menashe, a process stopped last year by India.

Freund then coordinated with the Israeli government the arrival of batches of a few hundred Bnei Menashe as tourists who would later convert, but that process was canceled after Sheetrit took office.

The activist said he was hopeful a way would be found to fly over the remaining Bnei Menashe:

"The divine process of Israel's return to Zion is far greater than any single person or even government, and no human power can stand in its way," he said.

Preparing to Rebuild The Temple ~ Temple Institute prepares linen garments for descendents of Aaron

"For Aaron's sons, make tunics and sashes. Also make them hats that are both dignified and beautiful. Place these [vestments] on Aaron and his sons. Then anoint them, and install them, sanctifying them to be priests to Me. Also make linen pants to cover their nakedness, reaching from their waists to their thighs. [All these vestments] must be worn by Aaron and his sons whenever they enter the Communion Tent or offer sacrifice on the altar, performing the divine service in the sanctuary; otherwise they will have committed a sin and they will die. This shall be a law for [Aaron] and his descendants after him for all time." (Exodus 28:40-43)

"They made the tunics for Aaron and his sons by weaving them out of fine linen. [They made] the linen turban, the fine linen hats, and the line pants, [all out of] twined linen. [They made] the belt, embroidered out of twined linen, and sky-blue, dark red and crimson wool." (Exodus 39:28-29)

To view photographs documenting the commencing of production of the priestly garments, please click on the link below. http://www.templeinstitute.org/garment-photos-option.htm

The Temple Institute is Pleased to Announce that Production of 120 Sets of Linen Garments for Lay Priests is Presently Underway

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 1,938 years the linen garments of the lay priests are being produced in preparation for the rebuilding of the Holy Temple and the renewal of the Divine service. The last priestly garments to have been worn were those worn by the priests who were martyred by the Roman legions who brutally invaded and destroyed the Holy Temple on the ninth day of the month of Av, in the year 70 CE.

THE TEMPLE INSTITUTE HAS SPARED NO EFFORT in procuring the necessary materials for the performing of this Torah commandment, and once again has enlisted 21st century technology in order to do so in a manner befitting the Torah injunction that these priestly garments be "both dignified and beautiful". (Exodus 28:40)

SPECIALLY PREPARED FLAXEN THREAD, wound into six-ply strands, according to the Torah prescribed requirement, ("twined linen - shesh mushzar"), has been imported from India. These individual spools of thread are presently being spun into larger 1.7 meter long spindles in order to accomodate the next step: the weaving of bolts of fabric 1.7 meters wide. Before commencing this process, (known in Hebrew as hashtayah), of creating the 1.7 meter spindles, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, founder of the Temple Institute made the traditional shechechiyanu blessing expressing gratitute to G-d " ...for keeping us alive and preserving us and permitting us to behold this day." In addition, before every step of the manufacturing process, a special statement of intent must be uttered in Hebrew: "L'shem mitzvat assei assiyat bigdei hakehuna: for the sake of the positive commandment to make the priestly garments."

THE PREPARED SPINDLES are then being transported from the textile factory in the town of Gedera to a second factory in the city of Tel Aviv. There they will be woven into kilometer (3,280 foot) long bolts. The weaving process, (known in Hebrew as arigah), creates the checkerboard pattern described in Torah, (ibid 28:39).

THE FINAL STAGES of the manufacture of the garments involves the cutting, sewing and embroidering of the woven fabric, creating the tunic (ketonet), pants (michnasayim), turban (mitznefet) and belt (avnet). The turban (mitznefet) is eight meters (26 feet) in length, and is wrapped around the priest's head. Each belt (avnet) requires a sixteen meter (52 feet) length of linen, which is wrapped around the priest's waist. (During the time of the Second Temple, when preparing to serve in the Holy Temple, the priests dressed in the chamber known as the chamber of Pinchas the Wardrober, and each priest was assisted by a fellow priest with the turban and belt.)

AS ALWAYS, IN RECREATING TEMPLE-READY VESSELS AND GARMENTS, the Temple Institute research department initiates the process with intensive research, assuring in this case that the priestly garments will be created in strict accordance to the halachic requirements as described in Torah and in the unbroken oral tradition received at Sinai and preserved by Jewish sages throughout the generations.

EACH SET OF PRIESTLY GARMENTS will be tailored to fit its individual purchaser. The garments being created are not museum pieces or collector's items. Their cost is 2,500 shekel, (approximately $695). They will be sold only to true decendants of the High Priest Aharon, who aspire to be fully prepared for the day when they can once again perform the Divine service in the Holy Temple, may we merit to rebuild it soon!

INCREDIBLY, this is our first public announcement of the production of the priestly garments and we have already registered our first orders. A second production run is already being planned to accomodate the anticipated demand. In these very difficult and trying times we witness the enemies of the G-d of Israel arrayed to the north and to the south and to the east and to the west of the land of Israel, shamelessly boasting of their wicked intentions, and even Israel's friends are calling upon her to relinquish control over the Temple Mount, the one place chosen on earth by G-d for His presence to dwell, and for all mankind to be seen in His service. The demand by the descendents of Aharon for the garments that they will wear while tending to their daily responsibilites in the Holy Temple can only be understood as an expression of unshakable faith in the unfolding trajectory of Jewish history and in G-d's promise for all mankind: "And My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations." (Isaiah 56:7)

If you are a kohen and would like to reserve a set of bigdei kehuna, please contact us.

Animal rights groups against Passover sacrifice

Movement threatens to take legal action against Jerusalem municipality, Jewish leaders planning to publicly slaughter animals

Kobi Nahshoni Published: 04.02.08, 06:54 / Israel Jewish Scene

The Temple movements' intention to hold a public slaughter of the Passover sacrifice was slammed by the animal rights movement, Let Animals Live.

The activists demanded that the event's coordinators cancel their plans, and sent letters to Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski, and to the Director of the Temple Institute, Yehuda Glick, threatening to sue if their demands were not met within 24 hours.

Jewish slaughter in danger, chief rabbi tells importers / Neta Sela

Rabbi Metzger initiates meeting with meat importers, asks them to pressure slaughterhouses in South America to adopt 'boxing' method which does not cause animals undue distress. 'The koshering organizations are under attack, and Jews are presented as cruel people,' he warns
Full story

According to Let Animals Live director, Reuben Ladianski, the law states that it is prohibited to abuse or torture animals, including slaughtering them in a cruel manner.

"Any use of animals for educational purposes must be approved by the committee for animal experimentation," Ladianski said. "And the law states that permission will not be granted if the goal of the experiment can be reached in other, more humane ways."

In his letters, Ladianski warned that the maximum penalty for infringement of this law is three years in prison. He also mentioned the halacha, which prohibits animal abuse, and cited halachic rulings dealing with the correct treatment of animals.

In his letter to the mayor Ladianski writes, "Performing a public act in which an animal is sacrificed, when one can just as easily use a dummy, is wrong and unnecessary.

"Before we assume legal action we request that you notify us within 24 hours that you have received this letter and do not plan to allow this slaughter in Jerusalem's jurisdiction."

Eti Altman, one of the founders of the Let Animals Live movement, told Ynet that in her opinion, "The event is pointless and suitable only for unenlightened countries.

"Apart from the fact that it constitutes abuse, the slaughter of animals before an audience is liable to threaten their sense of humanity, and may deepen the rift between religious and secular communities."

Well, "C"....has given his view.....now I will present my view....................(1.) Israel Re-gathered While Still in Unbelief

God has uniquely conveyed throughout the Bible through the use of both imagery and symbolism that Israel would first be re-gathered from the nations while yet remaining in a condition of unbelief. This fact may be startling to some, to those that may think that Israel’s repentance is a prerequisite for Divine accommodation back into the land. But the fact of the matter is that God will change their hearts toward him after they have returned to the land, a geographic-demographic fact which in turn causes a world-wide conflict from which they can find no resolution. Albeit, a world leader will arise to offer Israel a deceptive plan for peace and security. The prophet Ezekiel describes this physical restoration to the land in the following scripture references. (Pay close attention to the italics and under-lined portions of scripture as you read from Ezekiel:)

Ezekiel 36:24-29 For I will take you (Israel) from among the heathen, (nations) and gather you out of all countries, (diaspora) and will bring you into your own land. (partial physical restoration) Then (afterwards) will I (God) sprinkle clean water (spiritual restoration) upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit (spiritual rebirth) will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart (blindness and hard-heartedness) out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land (realization of a permanent physical full land-covenant) that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, (fruitful land- Millennial Kingdom) and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

Ezekiel 37:11-14 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.

Ezekiel explicitly states in verse eleven that the dry bones that are pictured within his prophetic imagery lesson are specifically the House of Israel. In verses 11-14 of Ezekiel’s vision, we can easily see the utter despair in the Jewish psyche, and the sense of hopelessness that was endured by them throughout the Diaspora. But a return to the land was always in the forecast, and formed the backdrop for the Zionist dream that was uniquely venerated in the exilic anthem, “next year in Jerusalem.”

Ezekiel 37:3-10 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord. So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

In this portion of scripture, Ezekiel clearly lays out the scenario for Israel being restored in a physical body first. (bone coming to bone with sinew covering coming upon them) The restoration of the physical body is followed by a spiritual rebirth, as depicted in the fact that new physical body is shown first without breath being in it. Only after the body parts are shown reconstituted as a legitimate body are we confronted with the realization that it has no life. (…but there was no breath in them.) The physical body still requires the breath of life to be breathed into the body for it to experience actual life. So it is with the house of Israel yet today. Israel has been reconstituted in the world as a physical entity, but it has not yet experienced the “breathing of life” being breathed into its restored body. But the existence of the body portends that Israel’s time of spiritual restitution is close at hand. .........The physical birth of Israel is aready a fact, since she had become a nation May 14,1948......There is a spiritual rebirth, that is yet to come to pass.........yes, there are many Jews in Israel today that are accepting the Lord Jesus into their hearts, in growing numbers as a fire being blown by the wind(Holy Spirit).....who will be caught up in an event that we call the rapture, which happens prior to Daniels 70th week.........The Word of God says that all of Israel will be saved, and The Lord does state:..."unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God..........The Lord also states to the Jews in John 5;43.."I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. The Jews Of Israel, who had been left behind at the rapture, will accept the anti-christ as their long awaited messiah......It is not until the event of the "Abomination of Desolation"...that the Jews Of Israel will realize that they were deceived, and will realize that Jesus of Nazareth, is their True Messiah, and then at that point, the Spiritual rebirth of Israel will come to pass. When the A.O.D. comes to pass, only a third of the Jews in Israel will be left alive, who will all flee at the sign of this event called the A.O.D........Who will all flee to the wilderness, to what many believe will be a place called Petra, which is located in Jordan.......The "Woman" in Revelation 12 is identified as "Israel".......When the A.O.D. comes to pass, there will be 1,260 days to go, before the actual physical return of our Lord Jesus Christ to this earth. When Jews from all over the earth, wittness the Ezekial 38 battle, which happens prior to Daniels 70th week...........Jews from all over the earth will recognize that It was God who had defended Israel....And many, many Jews will return to Israel with a desire to rebuild the third temple, and considering that The Lord had destroyed Russia's and the Arab's military......there is no one to stop the building of the third temple...........Even though, many Jews from all over the earth will return to Israel......It seems that not ALL jews would be able to afford to make such a move financially. During the Great Tribulation Period,Jews from the four corners of the earth, will be hiding from the long arm of the anti-christ........Many non-believers(those who have refused the mark),will place their Jewish friends into hiding........From the story of the sheep/goat judgement,. we have all the nations gathered before the Lord Who is sitting on His throne,.....The battle of armageddon is done and overwith...........and the Lord is about to Judge the nations that fought against Jerusalem...........What comes to mind is that not all the people from all nations were probally not involved in fighting against Jerusalem......What I had to take into consideration was that while all nations were fighting against Jerusalem, that there were old men and women too old too fight, that there were crippled people, children over the age of accountability, not all people could not be transported to Jerusalem to fight against it,.....That there were unsaved men and women who were hiding and protecting Jews, from the anti-christ......The unsaved men and women, fed , clothed, and protected the Jews, thus they were friends to each other.......Many mourned when they say the Lord descending towards the earth, which is a first step towards repentence...........These unsaved people were a blessing to the Jews who were hiding from the anti-christ......with this in mind, comes to mind a scripture from the book Genesis.....which states: "Blessed are those that blesses thee, and cursed is him that curses thee"...............In Ezekial 37;21-28.....The Lord says that He will gather the Jews(His People),back into their own land.......Today, the Jews are slowly gathering back into Israel......Also, after the Ezekial 38 battle, the Jews will come back to Israel and build their third temple.........But, when the A.O.D. has come to pass, we find that the Jews are in the wilderness, and yet their would still be many around the globe that have yet to return........At the actual second return of our Lord Jesus,we find in Matthew 24;31 that the angels gather His elect(the Jews) from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.......and brings them all to Israel......And the Lord will live in their midst forever more......when one thinks about it,.....the angels will also gather all those who have the mark and had fought against the Lord, and will be thrown into the lake of fire, along with the ac and the false prophet..........The Jews that were protected in the wilderness from the ac, the friends who had clothed, fed ,that had helped the Jews ,also the tribulation saints will enter the millenium and repopulate the kingdom......................benny cool.gif

Beth-El was originally called Luz (Bereshit [Genesis] 28:19) which is the less common word for almond or almond tree in Hebrew, but loz is the regular Arabic word for almond.

If the almond tree means the word : Beth-El . . . then
the Beth(house/temple) of Elohim(IHVH) is most certainly speaking
of the connection between the almond prophecy and Temple Mount:

Yirmiyahu (Jeremiah) 1:1-16 Moreover the word of HaShem came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said HaShem unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. And the word of HaShem came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof [is] toward the north. Then HaShem said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land. For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith HaShem; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

So is the almond date of May 10th-13th, 2008, a warning about the Beth-El ?
Meaning the Temple of Jerusalem ?

. . . I am seeking specific `Almond Tree` prophecy about the following excerpt about
the hen's egg takes 21 days to hatch, just as the almond blossom takes 21 days to develop into a fruit . . .
The celebration of Tu Bishvat, the Jewish arbor day was January 22nd, 2008.
This matches the blooming of the almond prophecy. Then 21 days
later, the almond produces fruit, by the February 13th, 2008.

The almond can be regarded as having two periods of ripening. It is edible together with its rind a few weeks after the tree blooms, while the fruit is still green. Its second ripening is three months later, when the outer rind has shriveled and the inside cover has become a hard shell[20].

If three months is the second ripening of the almond, from February 13th,
2008 + 3 months = May 10th-13th, 2008 . . . does this timeframe introduce a prophecy threat to Israel, during the 2008 almond tree 21 day blooming to fruit period in nature ?

The answer to why the almond prophecy has 2008 listed, is based
on these ideas :

A) flowering/blooming of the almond was 1-22-2008
cool.gif fruiting of the almond was 2-13-2008
C) 3 month 2nd ripening will be May 10th-13th, 2008

By the way, Israel became a Nation May 14th, 1948

So 60 years, this May 14th, 2008 is very close to the almond prophecy of 2008.
However, it could be 2009----------2_ _ _ ( fill in the blank )

The understanding of the 60 years, is a encoded meaning relating to the word
`support`.
Also many researchers in Jewish history, consider the numerical 60, a type of
Dark night of the Soul . . .
If readers find research about the anniversary 60 years, relating to Israel and
the almond, please forward.

I see your point about the almond, interesting, although I think that we need to be careful about using Jewish traditions. I have quoted them too at times, but this knowing their source. Much of it comes from the Kabala which was influenced by gnosticism, which is the pursuit of knowledge for salvation and the mystical and magical supposed power of certain numbers. Gnositicism was a major problem in the early days of the Church.

Click here: What Does the Bible Say? (Ezek. 34:11-16; I Cor. 15:20-28; Mt. 25:31-46.)

Ezekiel and Matthew suggest that salvation has to do with faithfulness, hope and healing. Ezekiel 34 indicates that the community’s salvation depends upon how faithfully and responsibly leaders minister to the people. Unfaithful leaders cause the community to disintegrate, scatter, and lose power in relationship. For the sake of the salvation of community, leaders cannot become "fat cats" feeding off the weaknesses of the people.

When God tells the people through Ezekiel that God will take over their leadership because of the gross negligence of their leaders, one gets a sense of what it means to be faithful in a position of authority. The leader seeks out those members of the community who have scattered "on a day of clouds and thick darkness." The leader seeks the lost and brings them to economic well-being: "I will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel. . . I will feed them with good pasture." The leader is concerned about the physical and spiritual condition of the community. Therefore she or he will use the resources at his or her disposal to "bind up the crippled" and "strengthen the weak." The faithful leader will champion justice and "will feed them in justice."

Not only must the leader be faithful to these tenets of good, leadership, the people must be faithful in participating with the leader in sustaining and healing community members. In Matthew, Jesus makes it clear that salvation also depends upon the people exercising charity and compassion for each other: feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick, welcoming the stranger and giving drink to the thirsty. Neglecting these responsibilities means damnation for the community.

Paul speaks of salvation in another sense when he affirms hope in a grand resurrection of the dead at the end of history. At this time Christ will become triumphant by subjecting all things under himself and conquering death.

excerpt above feels closer to my thoughts about 'Christ subjecting all things under himself and conquering death. )

While giving lectures at a mid-western college I came face to face with a major affliction among young people: biblical illiteracy. As we tried to interpret some literature crammed with biblical allusions (all of which functioned symbolically), the students were at sea. They knew none of the biblical contexts. Finally we got to the theme of salvation, and a student asked: "What does the Bible say about salvation?"

This prompted me to reflect on the spot about biblical passages that communicated an important word about salvation. Some of that word is positive and productive. It speaks of salvation on earth in a social sense. Some of the word from Paul is problematic. It uses hierarchical and patriarchal imagery to speak of salvation at the end of history. This imagery can be alienating.

Finally all reality (even Christ) will be subjected to God, the father, who will be "everything to every one." Though Paul also suggests that salvation is realized in life when we die to the sin of Adam and take on life in Christ, this image of the eschaton sounds discouraging to many women. In this state of affairs patriarchy reigns supremely in images of God, the Father and Christ ("the first fruits, at his coming". . . "until he puts all things in subjection under his feet")

Paul also suggests an astounding sacralization of hierarchy here: "But when it says ‘all things are put in subjection under him [Christ],’ it is plain that he is expected who put all things under him. When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things under him . . ."

In this vision of salvation at the end of history we can see the final affirmation of patriarchies and hierarchies. Perhaps in Paul’s time these images were not problematic. But our consciousness has been heightened about the ways hierarchical and patriarchal systems oppress people according to sex, race and class.

Citing the Pauline passage, I made this point to the young people: What the Bible says about salvation is not to be interpreted and accepted uncritically. The Bible provides many discussions of salvation in various social contexts, according to various traditions (the prophetic tradition, the apocalyptic tradition) and at different stages in Christian and Jewish history.

But for those who have not read the Bible, it is important to do a literal reading of the text in order to become familiar with its face value. Critical techniques can be used to extract deeper meanings from texts only after the entire book has been read.

My sudden encounter with biblical illiteracy among the young made me aware that in many American homes the Bible has nothing to do with the foundations of faith and morality. Perhaps these very bright young people had learned about Christian ethics only from Western history where Christian ethics coincides with slavery, racism, the Holocaust, the oppression of women and the exploitation of the poor. Inasmuch as these sorts of evils continue, young people have a right to wonder whether knowledge of the Bible makes any difference. Do its teachings about morality and salvation belong to a world passed away long, long ago? Is the Bible merely good literature like Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey, telling of exploits that fire the imagination but have very little or nothing to do with life as we live it?

Young people have perhaps discovered that as the 20th century nears its end, we in the Western world are living in an age of immediacy where instant gratification and rabid individualism based on greed erode the processes of reflection and moral and spiritual preparation for adult life. I suppose, from the perspective of the biblically illiterate, the final question may be, as one student put it: "Why read a book telling about a kingdom coming when technology has already created paradise? And it’s getting better every day."

I notice this women doesn't talk about the blood as a means to salvation but defers to it in a social sense. Remember...God didn't want kings because he knew the inevitability it. Looking to men instead of God.

As Christians we try to obey those in authority over us but we shouldn't look to them as some kind of a means for the salvation of a community...Which the author seems to be implying...

In the OT it was expedient that the King be all that he could be according to the laws of social justice but mostly it didn't happen and it should be clear evidence that trusting in the leaders of men while legally correct isn't spiritually what God has called us to.

To try to grasp outside of the blood for hope based on works is futile for works is the product of the blood..not the other way around. And l know she didn't outright say this but her lack of mention of the blood causes me to believe she is a social liberal trying to interpret the scriptures according to her own moral conscience rather than rightfully seeing what they say...
There fore she...becomes the blind leading the blind.

I also see it as side stepping the root issue that Kabala was influenced by gnosticism... the pursuit of knowledge for salvation and the mystical and magical supposed power of certain numbers.

Good Morning Miki:

I care about the devout thought process of this disclaimer, I clearly posted at the end of the
excerpt :

This link is not for the faint of heart, the excerpt above feels closer to my thoughts about 'Christ subjecting all things under himself and conquering death. '

So, if people/writers of literature do not understand about the theme of 'Christ subjecting
all things under himself and conquering death', the writer of the web link, was promoting
the most important step to Creator-above-creature(mankind) . . . maybe the writer promoted
the authority of God (IHVH) without even knowing she was doing so . . .

Similar to the rocks calling out His Glory, if need be . . .
Maybe, you receiveD the subject matter as a faint of heart, reader, which I warned about
at the end of the excerpt.

I am glad you presented an opportunity for me to restate how the authority of God (IHVH)
is first, in the universe and opinions by crownsevenalphabet or Miki fall into a
secondary viewpoint of importance in the scale of importance.

And no side stepping, I selected the web link because the author ` is ` connected to gnosticism...

And the point remains, that I clearly have re-stated, " Christ subjecting
all things under himself and conquering death " . . .

Even in her gnosticism she was forced to write that sentence. Meaning, that the opportunity of
viewers reading that sentence brings each 'free-will' reader into the moment of literature
exploration to think about Christ being the Messiah ' King ' of the Universe . . . no other
point was important to me in my position regarding the selected excerpt. As Saul killed
the Jews, God (IHVH) redeemed him unto the new name : Paul . . .

Why not pray for the redemption of the writer, who is like a Saul . . . with the 'knowledge' of the
most important principle of faith toward salvation : Christ subjecting all things under himself
and conquering death

If we see a glimmer of hope for others, why not make a bridge between them and the
next steps unto salvation in Christ Jesus, why do you blow the bridge up . . . destroying
the access to cross over to the 'LIGHT' ?

Miki
I don't have a personl relationship with her C7..so no bridge blown...but if you do have relationship l suggest you cross that bridge and declare the blood of Christ. I see far more negative then positive in her presentation. Glad you see the glimmer of hope.

smile.gif It didn't make me faint by the way, to read the article but since you've drawn attention to your links l pursued with curiosity. I'm sure Ms. Williams has conversed with many greater than the likes of I.... and my thoughts are but a passing breeze to her. After all...she has many in her charge to lead.

Nissan, Month of Redemption, Begins

(IsraelNN.com) 4/6/08 Today is the First of Nissan, a month connected with redemption in Jewish faith. The Pesach holiday, marking Israel's redemption from Egypt, occurs in this month. Future redemptions are also predicted to take place in Nissan: the Talmudic Sages said that "in Nissan [Israel] were redeemed and in Nissan they shall be redeemed."

The first day of Nissan is, according to tradition, the day on which the Holy Tabernacle was built in the desert, thus marking the beginning of the time that the Shechina, or Divine Spirit, began its presence amidst Israel.

..............Judge Rules Paschal Sacrifice Practice "Proper," Appeal Filed

by Ezra HaLevi

(IsraelNN.com) The Jerusalem Magistrate's court ruled Friday that the Jewish Temple movement may, under state law, slaughter a sheep on Sunday as a “general rehearsal” for the renewal of the Pesach (Passover) sacrifice. The judge even called the effort "proper," but organizers have been summoned to appear at 1 PM in the District Court after an animal rights groups filed another last-minute suit.

The slaughter is planned as part of a conference dedicated to studying and restoring the Jewish observance of the Korban Pesach, as it was called since it was first observed in Egypt. At the time of the Exodus, Jews slaughtered a sheep per family group, despite its status as a deity to the Egyptian oppressors. The blood was then applied to the doorposts of the Jewish homes.

Rabbi Chaim Richman on temple sacrifices

Click here for an interview with Rabbi Chaim Richman of the Temple Institute on 'Temple rites vs. animal rights'

Animal rights group "Tnoo Lachayot Lichyot" ("Let the Animals Live") had argued that the planned slaughter constituted illegal cruelty to an animal.

Although the slaughter will be identical to any correctly-performed kosher slaughter, and the animal consumed in a manner resembling the popular Israeli pastime - the mangal (barbecue) - the animal rights group compared it to dog-fighting and other spectator events performed at the expense of animals' pain.

In her ruling, judge Hagit Mac-Kalmanovich said, “I was not convinced by the argument that the given event would cause the animal more pain and suffering than the accepted methods of slaughter in slaughterhouses.”

She rejected the group’s comparison of the planned slaughter to illegal fights between animals, pointing out that only one animal was involved, and that it would not be harmed in any way prior to the actual slaughter. The event must be allowed under laws protecting freedom of religion, she concluded.

The conference is taking place from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Yeshivat HaKotel, in the Old City of Jerusalem, overlooking the Temple Mount.

Organizers Summoned Once Conference Underway
A Tnoo Lachayot Lichyot official by the name of Yonatan arrived at Yeshivat HaKotel at around 10:15, once the conference was underway. He was accompanied by a police officer and Border Police soldier with his weapon drawn.

A summons was delivered to the organizers to appear for a 1 PM hearing on whether the slaughter will be permitted.

Arutz-7 asked Yonatan whether the suit was aimed at thwarting the planned educational program. "The main thing is that this circus not take place. They have no business having people gather around and watch as this barbaric act is perpetrated."

Asked how the event differed from any slaughter of animals by individual shochets (kosher slaughter experts), aside from the fact that the meat is going to feed the hungry, the animal rights group representative said, "I'm not interested in explaining right now, come to the court at 1 PM and see."

German Archaeologist on Trail of Ark of the Covenant
Tuesday , May 13, 2008

By Roger Boyes

BERLIN —

It is only a breathless Hollywood script: treasure-hunter Indiana Jones races with German archaeologists to track down the fabled Ark of the Covenant, the chest that held the stone tablets on which the Ten Commandments were etched.

Now German researchers claim to have found the remains of the palace of the Queen of Sheba — and an altar that may have held the Ark.

The discovery, announced by the University of Hamburg last week, has stirred skeptical rumblings from the archaeological community.

The location of the Ark, indeed its existence, has been a source of controversy for centuries.

Regarded as the most precious treasure of ancient Judaism, it is at the heart of a debate about whether archaeology should chronicle the rise and fall of civilizations or explore the boundaries between myth and ancient history.

• Click here to visit FOXNews.com's Archaeology Center.

Professor Helmut Ziegert, of the archaeological institute at the University of Hamburg, has been supervising a dig in Aksum, northern Ethiopia, since 1999.

"From the dating, its position and the details that we have found, I am sure that this is the palace," he said.

The palace, that is, of the Queen of Sheba, who is believed to have lived in the 10th century B.C.

After she died, her son and successor, Menelek, replaced the palace with a temple dedicated to Sirius.

The German researchers believe that the Ark was taken from Jerusalem by the queen — who had a liaison with King Solomon — and built into the altar to Sirius.

"The results we have suggest that a Cult of Sothis developed in Ethiopia with the arrival of Judaism and the Ark of the Covenant, and continued until 600 A.D.," an announcement by the University of Hamburg on behalf of the research team said.

Sothis is the ancient Greek name for the star Sirius.

The Ark was made, according to the Bible, of gold-plated acacia wood and topped with two golden angels. It is said to be a source of great power. In about 586 B.C., when the Babylonians conquered the Israelites, the Ark vanished.

For many centuries finding it has been one of the great quests — inspiration not only for the 1981 film "Raiders of the Lost Ark," but also for countries seeking to position themselves in the mainstream of ancient civilization.

Many archaeologists believe that their profession should not be in the business of myth-chasing. Even if the Ark were found, it would be impossible to establish scientifically whether it was the original receptacle for the Ten Commandments.

Iris Gerlach of the German Archaeological Institute in Sanaa, Yemen, believes the religious centre of Sheba is in present-day Yemen.

Although she does not go head-to-head with her colleague Professor Ziegert, the message is clear: A relic such as the Ark would have been stored in an important religious city rather than in Aksum.

Quest goes on

— The location of the Ark has been put in Egypt, Zimbabwe and even Ireland, where the Hill of Tara was excavated

— The Ethiopian holy town of Aksum is regarded as a more credible site

— Ethiopians believe that it is defended by monks in the church of St. Mary of Zion and is seen only by the guardian of the Ark, making it impossible to verify

Get your head in the scriptures Benny and out of the stream of false speculation. Not only is the Lord's temple now in heaven [not on the earth], but this truth is presented throughout the book of Revelation including the temple noted in chapter 11. The Lord will never permit a tribulation temple of His doing on the mount ..... not until the millennium. There is not one directon given in scripture to build a tribulation temple. Neither is there a description of the process. He said the days would come when not one stone would be left standing during the time of the end. His entire discourse is all about the time of the end .... and not 70 A.D.. Believe it. The abomination of desolation is not a temple building and neither is the "holy place" [the temple mount and court] a temple building. Satan's "sitting" is his attempt to take the Lord's place as the god of this world .... not sitting in a literal brick and mortar temple building.

Due to the sensitive security nature of this issue, only the initials of those involved are being used.

(Additionally, as this is a personal letter I have not edited it, so it is a raw report with the typical spelling and punctuation errors you would expect.)

Hi JH,

Good to hear from you. Yeah, actually I got the Hebrew in the video clip translated and the guy who translated it for me said that they were screaming at me in Hebrew. I knew they were yelling at me, but I was determined to stay, basically I kept my face in the camera and wasn't leaving unless they literally picked me up and threw me out--which by the grace of God they didn't do. However, they were freaked out by me being a gentile with a camera at their secret sacrifice. All I was thinking about the whole time was JESUS! They asked me lot's of questions afterwards, but I kept saying that I was independent and not with any t.v. station. There were a lot of police and military up on the building balconies in case anyone tried to attack.

As far as I am aware and according to everyone I have talked to this was a very unique sacrifice. Those that I've talked to seem to believe that it is the first time they have done a sacrifice like this since the days of the temple, but I have no real way of verifying that. Basically every year they ask the government for permission to do this sacrifice on the Temple Mount (as they did again this year) and every year the government denies them permission because they know such a sacrifice would start World War III. This year they were especially charged because of the killing of 8 Jewish students by a terrorist who were studying to become Rabbi's. So they decided to do the sacrifice anyways--of course they would have done it on the Temple Mount had they been able to go up there, but they are not allowed by the military.

God has graciously opened the doors for us to interview and actually get to know some of the Jewish Priests. We were able to film a conference that they had here where Cohanim (priests) gathered from all over the world . Their purpose of coming together was to start organizing themselves and begin training for their future activation once the third temple is built. We were the only gentiles at this event as well (actually the only non priests and Levites), but we were allowed to be there as we were filming it for them (and for us at the same time). We were able to interview the DNA scientist at this same conference who discovered what's called the Cohen Y Chromosome. This is the Y chromosome that identifies the priestly class. So they know who are priests both through their careful traditions of handing down names and DNA testing. Pretty cool stuff.

Anyways, they are actively building furniture for the third temple and training the priesthood for activation. These are facts, as for what exactly it means or when-- well I have no idea, but like you I live with the expectation that Jesus is coming soon. Living here in Jerusalem makes this easy to do.

We are also getting to know the Muslims well and God has opened the doors there as well. Just two days ago two Palestinians took us into the worst terrorist hotbed in the country outside of Gaza. We made it to the ruins of Biblical Shechem and to Jacob's well where Jesus met with the Samaritan women. We seem to be able to move into the hard areas just fine as long as we are with Muslims. Otherwise they won't even let us past the check points.

Make sure you tell people to go to www.sourceflix.com and sign up on our email list there. Sourceflix and Living Hope Ministries of course are the same (just us), but we have had to start sourceflix to protect us while we work here. I can't and should not go into any details on my email. I have had my computer confiscated once already and checked out.

Anyways, be praying that God would continue to grant us favor and protect us in the work he has us doing. Give my love to R--- and G--- and the others. I miss you guys.

Love you brother!

Benny,

You use the mouth as well I would say. I see feathers flying in your demeanor ..... even hostile feathers. Do you think that the Lord will support the idea of sacrificial rites performed by the temple mount faithful during the tribulation period? You are the one saying that after Exekiel's war, which will occur early during or even before the beginning of the tribulation period, that there will be the re-institution of sacrifical worship. The scriptures state that from that "day" forward [after the war], that Israel and the nations will know who the Lord is. How do you reconcile this?

The Ezekial 38 war will take place prior to the beginning of Daniels 70th week....The Lord wipes out Israel's enemies, and the Jews from the four corners of the globe begin returning to Israel, with the desire to build the third temple.....unfortunately, the jews at that time have not yet recognized Jesus as the Son of God....National Israel at that time recognize only God the Father.....The same anti-christ who had confirmed a covenant with Israel, will be believed by national Israel...to be their long awaited messiah...so when they believe that the anti-christ is the messiah, and decide to build the third temple....that should be an interesting combination.....it is not until the event of the A.O.D. that national Israel realize who the true Messiah really is.In the Ezekial 38 event, russia and all the invading islamic nations will be wiped out militarially, but not as a people.....otherwise Daniel 40 could not come to pass at the final weeks and days of the Great tribulation....When the 10 leaders appear on the scene....the Ancient of Days will sit.........Prior to the ending of the Mosiac Law....The sanhedrin were sacraficing animals, and the temple had not yet been torn apart yet...then the Lord was cruxified on the cross of Calvary.....doing away with the animal blood sacrafices.....But what one has to keep in mind is that national Israel did not recognize Jesus as the Son of God at that time...and even today, national Israel do not recognize Jesus as the Son of God.......But there is a time when all of Israel will recognize Jesus as the Son of God.......................When the Lord Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary.......in a sense,...it was as if time stopped (IF YOU WILL)...the period of Grace came into effect....the Church age if you will.........soon the rapture will come to pass, and then afterward......eventually, Daniels 70th week will begin to tick off to complete the 490 year decree given by the Lord to national Israel.......So when the time clock begins to tick again at the beginning of Daniels 70th week,.....The confirmation of a 7 year covenant will be made...between the ac and Israel....the sanhedrin will be back on the scene as in the days of old, and will be sacraficing animals again....sorta picking up from where they left off before the Lord shed His blood on the cross of Calvary. The thing about God wiping out Israel's enemies from the Ezekial 38 event.....is that when Israel does decide to build the third temple....at that time, all the islamic nations will not be in a position to militarially stop or protest against Israel building the third temple.....Scriptures do indicate though that a compromise was made concerning the third temple......"Leave out the outter court".......................................benny cool.gif

9. The Temple and Two Witnesses
(Revelation 11)

In Revelation 11, explicit reference is made to the temple service as well as the desecration of the temple in the middle of the tribulation period. Which temple is this? In the history and prophecies about Israel reference is made to the following four temples:

1. The temple of Solomon. This temple was destroyed just before the Babylonian captivity, but after the return of Israel it was rebuilt again. It is commonly referred to as the first temple.

2. The temple of Herod. This temple was built for the Jews by Herod in the last century before Christ. It is known as the second temple.

3. The temple of the tribulation period will be rebuilt in Jerusalem during the coming tribulation period after a covenant with the Antichrist. It is referred to as the third temple.

4. The millennial temple will be built in Jerusalem after the coming of the true Messiah (Ezek. 40-44). It is described as the fourth temple.

The measuring of the temple, as well as its desecration, is described as follows by John:

“Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying: Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months” (Rev. 11:1-2).

This prophecy was written 25 years after the temple of Herod (the second temple) was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD, and can therefore only refer to a third, future rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. The third temple, which will be completed and put into service during the first half of the tribulation period, will be desecrated by the Antichrist. Apart from the prophecy in Revelation 11, there are various other references to the third temple in the Bible. Daniel says:

“Then he [referring to the Antichrist] shall confirm a covenant with many for one week [that is a year-week of seven years] but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering” (Dan. 9:27).

The termination of the sacrifices in the middle of the tribulation period will coincide with the time when the Antichrist will assume his role as military dictator, declare himself to be God, and have an image of himself placed in the temple. In the Holy of holies, where only the High Priest may enter once a year to bring a sacrifice for the nation on the ark of the covenant of the true God, the Antichrist will order his image to be placed and demand to be worshipped in the place of God. About this rebellious act, Daniel says:

“And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation… [This] king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished" (Dan. 11:31, 36).

The Lord Jesus also referred to the abominable image of the Antichrist that will be erected in the temple at the beginning of the second half of the seven year tribulation period, described as the great tribulation:

“Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place… then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains… For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Mt. 24:15-21).

Paul also mentions the Antichrist’s desecration of the temple in the middle of the tribulation, when he describes him as the “man of sin… the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God (2 Thes. 2:3-4).

In Revelation 13 the full implications are spelt out of the placing of the image of the beast in the temple and of the forced worship of the Antichrist as the self-declared god of this world:

“He [that is the false prophet] was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed” (Rev. 13:15).

In the middle of the tribulation the Antichrist will declare himself to be God. He will not only stop the Jewish religious sacrifices, but will abrogate all the other religions, as he will exalt himself above every god that is worshipped. That will amount to the obliteration of all religions, aimed at substituting them with the universal worship of the Antichrist by people of all faiths.

We know that the Antichrist will, as an end-time ruler, be a living person on earth during the Second Coming of Jesus (Rev. 19:19; 2 Thes. 2:8), and, as has already been shown, there will definitely be a temple in Jerusalem during his reign.

The age-old conflict
The great animosity of Satan against the temple is, however, not confined to the end-time. Through the ages the Temple Mount has been and still is one of his prime targets – the reason being that God chose to establish His Name on this holy site in Jerusalem and to make important revelations from it (Ps. 48; 132:13-15). It is also the place to which Jesus will return after His feet touch down on the Mount of Olives (Zech. 14:4) and He has destroyed His enemies. He will then go down into the Kidron Valley, cross the Brook Kidron, ascend Mount Moriah and enter the temple site through the East Gate (also known as the Golden Gate) to proclaim His position as Messiah-King and to restore the throne of David for His millennial reign.

The East (or Golden) Gate is to this day completely sealed up with large stone blocks built into it by the Arabs when they became aware of the biblical prophecy that this special gate was to be kept shut “because the Lord God of Israel has entered by it” (Ezek. 44:2). The Lord Jesus has entered the East Gate during His triumphal entry and knowing the prophecies of His Second Coming, the Arabs wanted to be sure He would not be able to enter the rebuilt East Gate – as if that would be able to prevent Him!

For many centuries the temple also demonstrated God’s plan of salvation, i.e. the atoning death of Jesus for sinners. Every sacrificial animal that was brought through the Sheep Gate to the temple to be sacrificed pointed to the Lamb of God who would be slain, just outside Jerusalem, for the sins of humanity.

Do you understand why Satan and his hordes so fiercely hate this place? His intention has been and is to transform the Temple Mount into a place where a god other than the God of the Bible is worshipped, in preparation for the universal worshipping of the Antichrist here during his evil reign on earth. Since the seventh century – in 638 AD, which was six years after the death of Mohammed – the Temple Mount has been in Arab hands. It is as if Satan challenges God through the temples of a foreign god on this site, which is intensely sacred to Jews and Christians. The Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock stand here.

The Dome of the Rock straddles the rock where God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his son, Isaac, who was a type of the Messiah. On the dome of this mosque the following words are inscribed: “God does not have a son!” Muslims regard it as blasphemous if anyone says that God has a Son, and spit on the ground in contempt. The Allah of the Koran is, therefore, not the Triune God of the Bible! Further, the Muslims claim it was Ishmael, not Isaac, who was to be sacrificed on Mount Moriah. Clearly, ‘Ishmael’ is still mocking ‘Isaac’ (Gen. 21:9).

Rebuilding of the temple
Intensive preparations have been in progress for many years aimed at rebuilding the temple on its original site on the Temple Mount. Many Israelis cherish it as their ultimate dream to see the temple being rebuilt. Now that they have returned to their land, this ideal is much closer to realisation. One of the major obstacles to this is the high profile of Islam on the Temple Mount with its two mosques. The Muslims, the Temple Mount is the third holiest place on earth after Mecca and Medina. The fact that the Dome of the Rock was restored at a very high cost, including new golden plates on its dome, is an indication that Islam has no intention of leaving the Temple Mount.

For many years is was thought that the Dome of the Rock stands on the spot where the temple should be rebuilt, but archaeological excavations disproved this idea. The Jewish temple can be build directly north of the Dome of the Rock, with about 3½ metres between the two buildings. If it is kept in mind that the Antichrist will offer himself as the common messiah of all faiths, it can be expected that these two shrines will indeed stand alongside each other. Islam and Judaism will then co-exist as sister religions with all the other amalgamated world religions for 3½ years. Thereafter the crisis of Daniel 9:27 will arise when the Antichrist will declare himself as God in the temple. The Jews will then reject him and break their covenant with him.

For many years there have been Israeli pressure groups who campaigned and planned for the rebuilding of the temple. The most well-known group is the Temple Mount Faithful which was established by Gehrson Solomon shortly after the Six Day War in 1967. Their objective is to free the Temple Mount from what they call its “illegal Arab occupation.” After the capture of the Old City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount during the Six Day War the former minister of defence, Moshe Dayan, transferred the civil administration of the 35 acres of the Temple Mount to a Muslim council, the Waqf. Solomon’s group describes this decision as a great set-back for the temple project.

During the past more than 30 years Solomon’s group has made various attempts to gain control over the Temple Mount. Although it is still a Muslim stronghold, he believes that the Jewish temple will be built here in the near future. In 1990, his group attracted the attention of the international media when they asked permission to lay a cornerstone of 4½ tons on the temple site. Although permission was denied to them, riots nevertheless broke out, leading to the death of 17 Arabs.

Subsequently Solomon’s group again attempted to lay the corner-stone, but without success. These orthodox act
